If Liverpool extend Sakho and Mignolet as expected/reported they'll have basically all of their meaningful players locked up for 4-5 years (including the current season), and all of them are 25 or younger today except Lovren, Lallana and Mignolet.

15 Daniel Sturridge FW 25 20199 Christian Benteke FW 24 201911 Roberto Firmino FW 23 202028 Danny Ings FW 22 202027 Divock Origi FW 20 201920 Adam Lallana AM 27 201910 Philippe Coutinho AM 22 202033 Jordon Ibe AM 19 202014 Jordan Henderson CM 24 202023 Emre Can CM 21 201946 Jordan Rossiter CM 18 201918 Alberto Moreno LB 22 20192 Nathaniel Clyne RB 24 20206 Dejan Lovren CB 26 201917 Mamadou Sakho CB 25 201812 Joe Gomez CB 18 202022 Simon Mignolet GK 27 2018Another CB (Skrtel is 30) and maybe another wing mid (upgrade over Lallana?) might be the only buying they need to do in the next year or two. It's a good young core if they can stay together long enough to mature as a unit.
List seems to be missing Milner who might be their most consistent player this year. I imagine he signed to more than one year.

Its probably good news, if true, that LFC won't need to do much buying since FSG just committed $217mil over the next 7 years to a 30 year old pitcher.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink taking over at QPR. The one thing that can bring Cletius and Christo together.
One my all time favorites, who I was able to see play at Stamford Bridge in 2001. I genuinely hope he does well. Not having been born into Chelsea, I have a hard time mustering any meaningful negative feelings for most of the traditional rivals. As for Cristo, I've always admired the cut of his jib.

All of Ohio is in the federal quarantine zone for emerald ash borer, which means that the movement of hardwood firewood and wood products is under regulation and prohibited in most, but not all, circumstances.
Arrest his ### at the border, imo

Atlanta continues to amaze me.

Seattle is the bench mark for all things attendance in MLS.

A couple of months before Seattle started as a franchise, they were sitting on 22,000 season ticket deposits (all of which were converted to full season tickets).

Atlanta just announced yesterday they have already passed the 29,000 mark for deposits and they don't have a coach or player even signed yet and don't start until March of 2017.

If they have any luck in signing a big name player to build hype in late 2016, they could easily pass the 35k mark for season tickets (assuming they can convert the majority of deposits into full packages) and with that base they could easily challenge Seattle for the attendance lead.

@FOXSoccer: #USMNT midfielder Fabian Johnson stays onside, and adds a third for Gladbach to continue his goalscoring form. http://snpy.tv/1RvJumT
Huge win for Gladbach

First loss for BM this season in Bundesliga

Gladbach started the season with 5 straight losses. Since then they have picked up 25 of the next 27 available points to move from way dead last to 3rd in the table. Fantastic turn around.

Fab's goal scoring form is great so far. Last year he scored 1 goal in 34 appearances and he already has 6 this year in 16 appearences. He looks very settled on the wing.

If my counts are right, Leicester City play 10 of their last 23 matches against City, United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea.

So?

Given present form, only clubs I would take to comfortably beat them are City and Arsenal.

Sounds like some great matches down the stretch

Doubt they can stay in the top-4 through the end of February with that schedule, and that's assuming they don't run into injury/lack-of-depth issues.

ETA: they're currently 6-1 to finish in the Top-4.

The winter schedule is usually brutal for thinner clubs.

Nfl refs now doing epl games as well? I almost feel like a Pats fan today with all the ref whining I've been with today's game. 2 no calls on hand balls in the box...

it is a tough patch, but if they don't fall too far (say no lower than 6th) they can jump right back into the race as they have 9 straight games against Norwich, WBA, Watford, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Sunderland, West Ham, and Swansea.

That is a run of 9 games where they can pick up a ton of points. After these 9 games, there are only 3 left in the season.

I thought the sliding one could go either way. Imo, handball. The other one was nothing. With the ref, I was just happy to see somebody finally nip Costas bs early, even if he didnt toally deserve it

The first one I thought was the worst, arm draped over in the box is not a natural position. Costa doesn't realize how much momentum he kills from his own team :wall:
