Limited running given he will spend 90% of his time on one side of the pitch. How's Clattenburg going to keep up with that fast paced Spanished game?
19 straight years for Arsene in the Big Cup. Truly remarkable.Top Four Trophy (TM) clinched for the Gunners.

Their whole team is a mess.Blind is such a mess in the back
If only LVG had Fellaini available to help out with the headers today....
I haven't been to Upton Park but I've been to two other old London grounds: White Hart Lane and Selhurst Park. They're full of history and can produce a great match day atmosphere but sorely lack the amenities that American fans would expect. They're nestled into residential areas so accessibility and security are also legitimate concerns. It was great to see games there but if I went to 20 games/year, my knees and butt would appreciate a new home for my club.Always hate to hear about these old stadiums closing.

The East End that begat the Boleyn Ground is vanishing, mostly due to the astronomical rise of London property values. A lot of West Ham supporters are coming into London for home games now so the move to Olympic stadium will just mean a different train to ride.
I don't see how they can go that young and expect much different next year (these guys aren't the same kids from the infamous quote - I know that's stating the obvious). But, I agree with most of what you have - I would see if you can find a proven goal scorer and give Rashford as many games as you can but don't rely on him.United needs:
Need a CD to pair with Smalling
Right Wing with pace, goal scoring ability and skills.
Center Mid - the illusive Box to Box guy that can dominate, not afraid to shoot or distribute.
Striker is debatable. Rashford looks the part but is young. Do you roll with him or bring in a proven scorer?
Sell Rooney. Give away Fellaini. Jones can go.
Martial Rashford RW
CM Mata/Herrera
Schneiderlin
Shaw/CBJ CD Smalling Fosu Mensa
De Gea
Conversely, Villa plays his ### off every game.NewlyRetired said:
I agree with you, need some experience in there. Carrick would help. If you get the right winger/CM/CD then that could be all you need.AAABatteries said:I don't see how they can go that young and expect much different next year (these guys aren't the same kids from the infamous quote - I know that's stating the obvious). I was torn going in to today but ready to say "#### off" to LvG - if I wanted to be bored to death I'd watch I'd watch the WNBA. I wanted TSO to take over when SAF retired but not so much now.
Hoping they can win the FA Cup and they tell LvG to get lost.
Villa has been a fantastic signing. Everything you want from a high paid guy. Pirlo does not make a ton compared to the other big names, but overall he has been a disappointment for me.Conversely, Villa plays his ### off every game.
So they have 1 great DP, the worst ever, and then Pirlo who does Pirlo things, but doesn't really play defense. Neat.
Sadly they could finish anywhere from 4th to 8th depending on how Sunday shakes out. Then a week later the FA Cup...A lot of dominoes would have to fall right but Manyoo could still miss out on European football next season altogether, if I'm calculating correctly. Not that I would wish that on them, of course.
Lothar was the worst by far until Lampard signed. If Lampard really does go an become a commentator during the season with his mystical calf strain, I think he could take the title from Lothar, which is saying a lot considering what a complete disaster Lothar was.I find it hard to believe anyone could be a worse MLS signing than Lothar Matthaeus.
Yeah, I would have a lot more sympathy for Kamara if he hadn't been acting like such a petulant child about the whole thing. Not just in the media (which would be bad enough) but even in the game, after the PK he decided he was just going to force a shot on every possession, even when he had open teammates in better positions. Did I mention they blew a 4-1 second half lead at home? Because that was largely Kai's fault.Anyone following this odd Kei Kamara story?
do teams over seas have local TV deals along with the national tv deals like we do here in the US for the non NFL sports? Or is the tv set up more like the NFL where there are no local packages, only national packages?La Liga's new TV deal is much more equitable top to bottom than in prior years, likely a good sign for the league.

I don't know what the 2015-6 final numbers in the EPL will be, but the last place team in the EPL made more than all but the top 4 in La Liga will next year in 2014-5La Liga's new TV deal is much more equitable top to bottom than in prior years, likely a good sign for the league.

There's way more money in England, yes. But the key for these numbers is they represent a 250% increase in revenue for over 15 Spanish clubs, but less than 10% increase for RM and Barca.I don't know what the 2015-6 final numbers in the EPL will be, but the last place team in the EPL made more than all but the top 4 in La Liga will next year in 2014-5
I don't know about this, but doubt there is much separate local coverage since all of Spain is about the size of Texas.do teams over seas have local TV deals along with the national tv deals like we do here in the US for the non NFL sports?
