Touche.  I graciously concede the point.

eta: I know, I know..."That's what Pelle said"...

Alright, now I'm paging Roadkill to the white courtesy phone..."A LITTLE HELP HERE! OUR GRAZIANO IS GETTING KILLED IN HERE!  TELL THEM!  TELL THEM!....HES MUCH MORE HANDSOME THAN GIROUD!
Graz is a beautiful, beautiful man.

If I could find my ca. 2004 Damian Duff shirt, I'd look alot like some of these fat guys. The old Umbro shirts looked loose on the players, not so on the full kit wankers.

ALL OF YOU, STOP! JUST STOP!  I haven't laughed this hard in a looong time...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAN!!  WILL SOMEONE PLEASE PULL THE PLUG ON Christo's white courtesy phone!!

my sides are LITERALLY hurting...

RHE, you, my good sir, are an ENABLER!  Please, cease & desist...I really am having problems here...seriously.. I didn't know this was actually a thing.

Hey guys, all of Kafka's hyperbole & Eye-talian schtick aside...I want to truly thank all of you in this thread.  I'm a tortured individual, who (like all of us have at one time or another) is going through a mentally dark & tough period in my life.  I married a beautiful wife, & her & I have been through an extraordinary amount of personal family tragedy, which never seems to cease.  We are blessed with three beautiful children ( obviously, they take after their mother).  IRL, I'm a humble man( )...seriously...but I also have a dark side that permeates my mind & wraps it's tentacles around my conscious.  I have my demons, as do we all...before, I used to react with fisticuffs, whereas now, I know I cannot.  The reason I bring this up is because earlier tonight, a very bad situation occurred, but I walked away, settled down, & logged in here, & hilarity ensued, thanks to Christo & RHE...& I stayed home.  I don't remember the last time I laughed like that.  I have a lot of RL friends, but there's something different here.  Can't explain it, but I told gb Floppo this last yr after my Dad died...There's something intrinsically good with this forum,  & I truly appreciate all of you.  I feel an intimacy that is on par with my brothers.  I know it sounds gay, & I can't explain it, but nevertheless, I appreciate it.  Unbeknownst to you, you kept me out of a LOT of trouble tonight, & for that, I am extremely grateful.  Now, #### Lazio, & #### England.   Give me some more FullKitPorn

GRAZIE & BUON FORTUNA...

...True gentlemen, scholars, & degenerates...the lot of you...

####. I was just going to say something about how that one year that FHM ran a series of photos of Lucy Pinder wearing the jersey of every EPL team was way ####### better than what I've seen from you guys over the last couple pages. But suddenly, that seems completely inadequate.

My bad Bentley, I don't mean it to come across like that...my point is, Lucy Pinder is what makes this thread so great... Capisce?

Pretty gay, IMO

US Open Cup question -

Next round it seems like most (but not all) of the MLS teams are playing AT the lower level teams.  Is it always done like this? Is this intentional? weird luck of the draw?

i.e. Orlando City is coming to Jacksonville to play Tony Meola's NASL bottom-dwelling Jacksonville Armada.

The Fire! is hosting its game vs. Indy Eleven

Forgot to thank Andy for that USA 3-0 Argentina link -- I'd never seen those.  I remember looking up the scores on vacation in Boston, but didn't see the game.  At the time I loved that they subbed in some heavy hitters at halftime and it didn't help.

It's "random", to the extent that teams are willing to host open cup matches.

ETA:. NASL had a hell of a night last night in round 3. I believe only two of their teams lost (Miami FC and Rayo OKC).  Even Ottawa took down the Whitecaps in the first leg of the Canadian championship semi.

Much better than last year, when USL pretty much annihilated them

So last night in the US Open Cup, OKC Energy (affiliated with FC Dallas) of the USL beat Rayo OKC of the NASL.  Score was 1-2.  Two of the better Energy players did not play because they are from FC Dallas and FC Dallas didn't want them cup tied.

This is the first year for OKC to have two teams.  The Energy has been around a few years and averages 7k/game.  Rayo OKC in its first year is averaging 5k/game.  I hate that the teams are competing for the soccer market, but I love that 12k people are attending games.  Maybe OKC will be on the MLS radar at some point because MLS attendance in some cities is around 15k.

So the question yet again.   :deadhorse:  Which league is considered higher?  USL or NASL?  There were 9 US Open Cup games between USL and NASL teams last night and the NASL won 7. However in years past the USL has the better record in US Open matches.
