I missed this too...did they Payet, or is it going to be installments?  I know West Ham couldn't wait to get rid of him; when Les Olympiens agreed to terms, I'm sure the Hammers were all like "marseille, marseille!".  Little does Dmitri know that the joke is on him; Rudi Garcia is their coach,  Gervinho is not on their roster, & Rudi's "attack" is usually as fresh as a stale baguette (Gombis aside).

I can trump the dorkiness.  I played all the Fifa's (and virtually nothing else) until Scrappygang arrived (and my cats chewed through my controller cords).  So now, I watch guys who play Fifa on YouTube run their career modes and MyPlayer series.  And I'm like "Oh no, Chesnoid you'll never get rated 85 if you miss chances like that!"

 
It seems that Arsenal have agreed to personal terms with Roma CB Konstantinos Manolas.  It looks to be a 55 mil € transfer, with Manolas remaining at Roma on loan until the summer.  If true, damnit.  His game does seem to fit the EPL perfectly, though... extremely physical, with tremendous speed.  Why can we never have good things?  FFP, that's why. Every summer Roma have to sell a great player: Marquinhos, Lamela, Benatia, Pjanic, & now Manolas.  [kicks can]

When they got 17 for Xmas I vowed to practice so I could crush their hopes & dreams.  Now I'm totally addicted to FUT and discovered the online tournaments.  Holy crap is that fun.

As of 6:30pm, here are the cities that have officially submitted their expansion bids to NY (in the order they were received).

San Diego, Tampa/St Pete, Cincy, Sacramento, San Antonio, Raleigh/Durham, St Louis, Phoenix, Detroit, Indy, Nashville

Charlotte makes it an even dozen and I think that should end the bids.

 
It looks like absolute chaos in Sacramento.  How the hell did this happen???  That was one of the best non MLS brands playing domestically in the US.  The fact that no one has come out and cleared the mess up is frightening.

Greed...that and it looks like Meg Whitman, Ned York, and Kevin Johnson are involved.  Johnson and Nagle seem like quite the dynamic duo.  MLS should stay away from this group.

With the Raiders move to Vegas collapsing yesterday, the Raiders and San Diego initiated contact.

This is so stupid.  All the new group had to do was buyout the original owners for a fair price and get the brand.

The amount of activity on social media last night seems to indicate that the already large and in place fan base is not in any way happy with this development. 

The Republic's TV announcer did tweet this but no follow up yet:

Why anyone would want to deal with Davis is beyond me.  Spanos was horrible, but at least he was their horrible.  Davis doesn't have a clue what he's doing or how ####### over Adelson-Goldman Sachs (you #### Adelson...you #### GS) will leave a mark on him in financial circles going forward.
