God, soccer can be the most foolish sport ever.

In the PSL (South Africa), the following occurred

* Team A in second division fails to get promotion

* Team B wins the first division

* Team A purchases Team B

* Team A moves Team B to their city

* Team A disbands their current team

* Team A renames Team B as Team A

The new team A is allowed to play in PSL as reigning champions.

What a sport!

Ed Woodward wants to know if this can be made retroactive and how much Leicester will cost.

DAMMIT!!  Every time I refresh my Roma news site, all I see is "Sale, Sale,Sale!"

kafkaesque for: "Salah, Salah,  SALAH!"

:kicksrock:

When KC was sold in the mid 2000's to the current owners, they were playing in an 80k stadium with 386 (that is not a typo) season ticket holders.

Last night they completed their 97th straight sell out in their new stadium.

My woeful memory is telling me that something like this happened in Mexico a couple of years back, too.

it has happened three times in Mexico and has happened else where too.

If you can't beat them, buy them :)

I was getting hammered at a bar before a Nats game. Never create a drinking game where you chug every time David Luiz is woefully out of position.
What's your pre Nats bar? Ever go to Blue Jacket?

Even though I wasn't shocked at the result, the score line and watching it unfold was just jaw dropping.
I gave too much credit to Germany the first time I watched that.

Now seeing the replay, good god it almost looks like Brazil was on the take(I know they were not, just saying the appearance).  The combination of mistakes, lack of effort, lack of positioning and no one one getting upset at each other is scary.

I really don't like Macca on color but he was right, how the hell was Germany not getting touched, much less chopped down.

It looks more and more like Orlando City will acquire Juan Quintero. I am pretty much a novice to the sport .I started watching and going to games when the Lions joined MLS 3 years ago. Will he be enough to turn Orlando's season around and what would he bring to the team?I hope the rumor is true Orlando can use all the help they can get now before the season really gets away from them.It is supposed to be announced by the end of the week according to this guy.  https://twitter.com/BD_ESPN/status/882803819863834625
Looks like Chicago is getting drunk off of all of the incredible moves they have made the last 6 months.

I have never seen a turn around like this in the way any team approaches building a team in a such a short time period.

As of today, @ChicagoFire are the front runners for Juan Quintero if he signs in @MLS. What a turnaround 2017 has been for the Fire . #MLS

Yea kind of bummed about that news.We really need some help in the scoring dept, but I guess there is going to be more than one guy available that could help us.

 You know you're having a slow transfer window when you search for 'Chelsea' on Twitter and all you get are photos of Chelsea Handler, Chelsea Clinton, or Chelsea Manning....

And to think there are still people who would rather watch this instead of seeing the clock stop.

Not sure what was better, them pushing the player into the stretcher, dropping him twice, or basically throwing the stretcher down once they got on the sideline....

And I still dont want the clock to stop.

Juan Quintero gave an interview in Colombia where he said he is all but set to come to America but he is waiting for Porto to agree to a transfer fee.  442 estimated this would be about a $7.5m transfer fee, which is very high for an MLS team to afford.

No Ronaldo for the yearly Real Madrid tour of the US

Crazy game tonight between KC and Dallas in the Open Cup Quarter finals.

KC picks up a red card, 15th minute and plays the entire game a man down but keeps it level to get to extra time.

In the span of about 7 minutes in the first extra time, Dallas picks up 2 red cards and KC scores twice.

For those that enjoyed the Cincy Open Cup win a couple of weeks ago, their run continues tonight in Miami.  A win and they are into the semi finals.
