Maybe by not going near the psf as a start? So many new people to meet in the PSF, I hardly know where to begin!
1. Point taken.Maybe by not going near the psf as a start?
How have you been?
Excited about all the usual Spurs moves?
I figured "2" was a big part of it. Can't imagine what they would have on when they knew the season would be starting.I figure its one of two things:
1. NBC has something else scheduled those mornings - can't imagine what it might be.
2. NBC is "promoting" its Peacock service - thus putting almost all the games on that platform.
Is this year 2 for Jose? Usually a good one for him. Europa glory before he blows it all up?1. Point taken.
2.![]()
3. Actually cautiously optimistic about the season. Liverpool and City still seem to be a bit ahead of the league, and Chelsea look like they will score loads of goals - probably enough to cement a top-4 spot.
But, Spurs should be in the running for 4th - with Man United, Wolves, maybe Arsenal.
Potentially brutal start to the year -
Everton H Sunday.
Bulgaria Thursday.
Southampton A Sunday.
League cup Tuesday - almost has to be a youth squad.
Macedonia/ Romania Thursday.
Newcastle H Sunday
League Cup Tuesday (assuming we qualify)
Europa League Thursday (assuming we qualify)
Man Utd Sunday
But, I love all 3 signings so far, Hojbjerg, Doherty and Hart. Hojoberg in particular is a big piece that was missing last season - someone to control CM. That should help both defense and attack. Hart is one people will laugh at - but Spurs have been "wasting" a non-HG spot on a 3rd keeper for a few years now, so it frees up a non-HG spot.
They still have a few things to sort out - but they played well post-Covid break, and got their key signings in early enough to have an impact from the start. Next, I expect a back-up striker for Kane, they are still trying to off-load Ndombele, who will go down as one of the bigger transfer bust in the PL. Lots of talent, not so much on the work ethic.
Jose will have Spurs organized though - so that kind of counter-attack mentality should leave them in position to potentially secure points against all teams.
I think the French Open might start that weekend - but maybe only SundayI figured "2" was a big part of it. Can't imagine what they would have on when they knew the season would be starting.
Wait.... Spurs signed 3 players... in the same off season? Surely you justBut, I love all 3 signings so far, Hojbjerg, Doherty and Hart. Was going to have to change it anywaysWhy are they axing avatars too?
I never jest.Wait.... Spurs signed 3 players... in the same off season? Surely you just

More like 1.5 - but Europa might be the best path back to CL.Is this year 2 for Jose? Usually a good one for him. Europa glory before he blows it all up?
Seems like he's been out of favor for a while, right? 10m seems like a price that would be considered a bargain for a player like him...at least in the epl.Rakatic the first official sale of the Barca rebuild, going back to Sevilla for what looks like up to 10mm Euros
Now talk of Suarez to Juve.....Rakitic the first official sale of the Barca rebuild, going back to Sevilla for what looks like up to 10mm Euros
Upon further looking, it is 1.5 million with 9 in variables. It's probably cheap just to get his massive salary off the books.Seems like he's been out of favor for a while, right? 10m seems like a price that would be considered a bargain for a player like him...at least in the epl.
Oh yeah. La Liga doesn't want Neymar, Ronaldo, and Messi to all leave in just a couple of years. Going to be very Messi politically if neither side backs down. Now talk of Suarez to Juve.....
And its going to get Messi-er with La Liga siding with Barca on the fee. Courts, public opinion... I don't see this ending well for Barca, and maybe not Messi since noone is paying 700m for him this year.
Konrad. Problem solvedOh yeah. La Liga doesn't want Neymar, Ronaldo, and Messi to all leave in just a couple of years. Going to be very Messi politically if neither side backs down.
Still, need to get some more sales in if they are going to reinforce the defense. Plenty of new attacking options coming in/back, but no #9 outside of Braithewhite if Suarez leaves.
I'm supportive of Suarez leaving and hope he realizes that we just cannot play as many minutes. Really, the last part is true for all these old guys.
Possibly selling Gazzaniga to Fullham as well. In Hart and TSO we trust. But, I think the net spend is going to be close to 0...
Hojbjerg was Kyle Walker-Peters + £3M
Doherty is ~ £15M, but they are looking to sell Aurier for £20M
Hart was a Free.
If they sell Ndombele - it will pay for a back-up striker and CM.
To be fair, Spurs were hit pretty hard by the Covid restrictions. A non-negligible part of their budget come from both match-day revenue at the new stadium, but also non-soccer revenue streams from NFL, concerts, boxing, and Rugby, that were all cancelled this year.

Kristof Terreur
@HLNinEngeland
This is Messi's wage package at Barcelona according to Football Leaks: 60.395.769 euro basic yearly wages (£988.000 a week), £9.100.000 per year on image rights, £13.000.000 a year on possible bonuses plus signing on & loyalty fee (£120.000.000 over 5 years).
Several teams can afford to pay Messi...its the part about having to also pay Barcelona 700M, on top of what ever you pay Messi that is causing problems.https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/lionel-messis-incredible-manchester-city-22613144
Again, not sure how credible this guy is, but it appears Man City can afford to pay this guy.
Is premium the one you need to pay for on the Peacock Channel or is that the free part?
Donkey Face just agreed to personal terms with that Club from Turin tooSeems like he's been out of favor for a while, right? 10m seems like a price that would be considered a bargain for a player like him...at least in the epl.
They must have been trying to emulate the Washington Football Team ModelJesus, things must have been bad at RSL. First the owner is ousted for being racist and now this
RSL executive Andy Carroll takes leave of absence after allegations of sexism, workplace misconduct surface
His agent said he was never playing in Italy ever again. Dam. Surprised DC didn't try and sign him as his brother is there.[César Luis Merlo] Total agreement between Inter Miami and Gonzalo Higuaín. They offer him a millionaire contract until December 2022. The Pipita had offers from England and Italy. The only thing left to define is his departure from Juventus
They love making things difficult but I saw this today. Sorry B MavUnited have announced Van de Beek. 1 signing done. Not sure why more can't go this smoothly. Lets get Sancho done and then one of either a CB or DM.
That's not for Sancho thats for Tonali. Looks like hes a DM in Serie B?They love making things difficult but I saw this today. Sorry B Mav
Cellino to TeleLombardia: "A dozen days ago Manchester United made us an offer of at least ten million higher than that of Milan, but when the boy heard Milan, he didn't understand anything anymore. "Milan have a beautiful project, the figures reported are correct."
Bresicia played in Serie A last year. Some view him as the next Pirlo in terms of MF role he can play for Italy but he's very good defensively and can move up in the attack when needed too. Yeah United made a push for him when they saw Inter was backing off who had an agreement with him in May. Everything looked done besides the transfer but Inter kept stalling. They then needed to offload a MF to fit Tonali in. Tonali got frustrated and Milan had interest and kept attention on the situation. United made several contacts during this period but when Tonali heard Milan potentially could make the deal real after months of uncertainty he told Cellino and his agent send me to my boyhood club. Cellino has been very class through the whole thing. Inter have decided to go for Arturo Vidal which has surprised many over going after Tonali. Vidal will probably be playing in China in the next 3 yrs where you can have Tonali roaming your MF for possible the next 12. Not sure where Inter are going for here. That's not for Sancho thats for Tonali. Looks like hes a DM in Serie B?
Didn't know United were even in for him.
In role he plays on the side. Not primo to be exact but a similar type of player as him. Comparisons given they play similar position both started out at Brescia etc. But Sandro seems more defensiveMi scusi?

No problem and no you cannot be mad. I should also point out the way Cellino talks about Milan could be a brewing partnership and wouldn't be shocked to see Milan loaning players to them and vise versa or Milan buying their players. Milan had a similar partnership when Galliani had one with Genoa and teams were allowed half ownership of players still on each side.![]()
Thanks. Somehow I missed this, probably because everyone gets linked with United at some point. Glad they looked into him then, can't be upset when a player wants to go to his boyhood club though.
So they've given up.This is for $18m which will give Atlanta a small profit.

Multiple sources have confirmed to @TheAthleticSCCR that Atlanta United has agreed to terms that will send Pity Martínez to Al-Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia.
Feels like it. They probably know an offer like that won't come again in this environment so maybe cut bait and go find the next South American. So they've given up.

Also if Barcelona will insist to keep him and not considering his ‘free transfer clause’ as valid also right now because it was expired on June, Leo Messi will tell again to the board that he wants to leave the club. He wants to change. The battle is on. #FCB #Messi #Barça
Real Madrid are in advanced talks with Everton for James Rodriguez to be sold on next days. The deal is not done - but Carlo Ancelotti already contacted James to convince him. Real are also in negotiations with AC Milan to loan out Brahim Diaz. #RealMadrid #Real #EFC #Everton
This is my understanding from when I was younger (Club, HS, College days):This is interesting as I don't ever recall a play like this. Those who understand the intricacies of the rules here please chime in.
I recommend stopping the video at the 12 second mark. The player who scores is clearly in an offside position, except for the defender who kneeling on the end line. If the defenders knee is touching the side line, does that put him on the field of play and as such make the opposing player onside?

I will see if I can find a mirror. This is my understanding from when I was younger (Club, HS, College days):
Since the video isnt playing, I'm guessing the defender was in the game and not off injured?
If that is the case, a defender can not step off the field to take himself out of the play. Technically you aren't allowed to enter or leave the field without permission, although an attacker off the end could be conisdered "passive" and not part of the play. So as far as a defender, he would still be part of the play and holding him onside. Touching the line doesn't have anything to do with it.
With that, the rules could have changed or been amended since then, so I defer to any up to date.
