Raider Nation
Devil's Advocate
It took me most of that scene to recognize Michael McKean.
It was kind of dark.It took me most of that scene to recognize Michael McKean.
I was super skeptical when the rumors started, and I'm just as skeptical now. They took one of the best shows ever and then removed all the best characters. This guy was always the one shtick/over-the-top caricature. I just don't know.
I loved BB so much that I'll try this, but I'm really not expecting much.
Not possibleOkay, I'll be the wet blanket.![]()
I love Saul as much as the rest of you, but he's highly effective in the relatively small doses we get of him. Might his shtick get a little (a lot?) annoying having to carry his own show?
Amazing.Odds far more like that it will be terrible. Spinoffs usually are.Probably won't be the only one who will be wrong, no.It's gonna be fantastic.I am I the only one who thinks this will probably be terrible.
And the Saul character was terribly written on BBad. Just a walking cliche, over and over and over and over again.
So that scene was after the end of Breaking Bad. OK, that's what I thought. Thanks.Flash forward to hom working at a Cinnabon in Nebraska.
It's his life post-BBI was multi-tasking at the beginning of the episode. Can someone walk me through the B&W scene?
I'd go with brotherSo Chuck is Saul/Jimmy's Father? Brother?
Gotta be Father right?
GM alias? It took me most of that scene to recognize Michael McKean.
Noticed that and the blue tape too. Nice. So, so good. Tuco was a sweet surprise at the end.
And nice to see the broken windshield MacGuffin from Breaking Bad is continuing its proud tradition in BCS.
I'll go with all part of developing a storyline of him being not good enough, not a serious lawyer, etc.Very cool first episode. What's going to happen with his smoke buddy chick? She seemed a bit out of his league, no?
You need to watch Breaking Bad period. Start right now.Do I need to have watched BB to watch this? I seem to be missing what the heck is going on and all the inside cross show references that make this watchable so far.
That's his brother - Chuck McGill.I'll go with all part of developing a storyline of him being not good enough, not a serious lawyer, etc.Very cool first episode. What's going to happen with his smoke buddy chick? She seemed a bit out of his league, no?
Think the other partner in the firm that he is helping mentioned her when he was talking about the firm having to shut down if he got too much money from them.
So much ground covered in the first episode. The previews for next week look like things get crazy fast.

I will bail very quickly if that's where this is going. Is this going to be one of those threads?
"who is this 'gene' guy?"
"Why can't his dad afford electricity?"
"So the Sklar brothers are friends with Two-Coat?"
Wasn't that about 60% of all of their episodes?McKean worked on a two-part X-Files episode that Gilligan co-wrote in the day in which Mulder and McKean's character swapped bodies.
It wasn't one of the show's finest hours.
Gunz is literally wrong about absolutely everything. He's like a superhero and his power is being wrong.Amazing.Odds far more like that it will be terrible. Spinoffs usually are.Probably won't be the only one who will be wrong, no.It's gonna be fantastic.I am I the only one who thinks this will probably be terrible.

Pretty tough to spot when he's in the opening freaking credits.GM alias? It took me most of that scene to recognize Michael McKean.
