I picked 21 players...didn't read the rules fully and did not realize the last few weeks are points by ALL of your players, I thought it was just a starting lineup again that was counted. I just looked at the starting lineup requirements and thought it was like that the whole season...

Of my 21, players who won't do anything those weeks: Edge, and Cottam. Everyone else is healthy besides Ronnie Brown and the only non-starters are Bradshaw and Michael Bush (Camarillo and Bess could be in there too I guess).

Scored 181 this week with VJack having a horrible game, so hopefully I can continue to hang in there.
I think your understanding is wrong. It is just your starting lineup that counts. Each week your top QB, top 2 RBs, top 3 WRs, top TE, top flex (either RB, WR or TE), top PK and top Def/ST will count towards your weekly total. You do not have to select who will play. You will receive the maximum score based on your roster.

Where does it say that? Here's what I find in the rules.

That to me says that includes the weeks 14-16. The only change is that your weekly score of your starters is combined; not all players.

I have a feeling that I'll be relying on guys like Britt, Harvin and McCoy much, much more than I expected.

So glad I opted for Dallas Clark over Tony Gonzalez as my #1 TE though.

Ouch. 129.05. I'm done. Wish I could have hung in there longer. Schaub and Jacobs on a bye hurt me.

Less than 1pt. It was fun. Good luck guys the rest of the way.

Like jon mx said, the scoring is the same in the finals. The only difference is that finalists total their score over multiple weeks instead of starting over every Sunday.

my leading receiver this week was Deon Butler
With a bad performance by Colston, Chris Henry on IR, Moss yet to play, I caught myself checking in on Butler, Britt and Harvin frerquently throughout the day.At least he made some catches this week!

Popular RB%

Rice 48%, Grant 36%, DWilly 30%, Betts 25%

I happened to look em up earlier today.

11 entries have all 4

I am one of those.....Not good from a uniqueness perspective, but I like the way they are performing. Should give me two good scores plus my flex score every week.

done at week 9 - when your D leads your team scoring, it's not going to be a pretty week - especially if your D really didn't score that wellAnd where is the bragging by Lhucks? Did he get his ticket punched too?
Proving Liberal Art's majors don't get hired for thier math skills....... in with 138.85 ;)And the only team left with Rodgers, D Will, Andre Johnson and Witten! 4 of us started, 2 dropped this week leaving me to my uniquesness quotient.

I'm still alive, finished with 156.75 points good enough for 556 place, I believe that's the highest I've placed so far. I like my team but am worried about having to many commonly owned players. I have Rodgers, Rice, D. williams, all commonly owned.

Next you're going to tell me that you have Ochocinco, Mason & Harvin as WR's - sounds like we have similar squads.

No, I have R. Moss, Mason, Nicks, Colston, Meachem.

Since I managed to survive with both #85 and Colston on the roster I figured I had a pretty unique team.

Love the querier...100038 is the only team with MJD, Colston and Ochocinco left, and is also one of only 89 teams with Jamaal Charles. Cutting out the dead weight:

QB - Philip Rivers - 25

RB - Maurice Jones-Drew - 50

RB - Felix Jones - 11

RB - Ahmad Bradshaw - 8

RB - Jamaal Charles - 7

WR - Marques Colston - 28

WR - Chad Ochocinco - 27

WR - Roy Williams - 21

WR - Derrick Mason - 9

WR - Pierre Garcon - 3

WR - Chaz Schilens - 3

TE - Jeremy Shockey - 9

TE - Brent Celek - 7

TE - Todd Heap - 5

PK - Jay Feely - 1

PK - Dan Carpenter - 1

TD - Pittsburgh Steelers - 7

TD - Seattle Seahawks - 2

Avant stepped up covering off AJ's bye and VJ's stinker ...
yeah, hoping we lost a lot of VJ owners
Lost 41% (294 of 710) this week.
So the VJax live owenrship percentage dropped about 5 points (from just under 31% to about 26%). I'll take it, but I was hoping for a little more of a dip. Oh well.
yeah, thought that would be a bigger number. :kicksrock:

This is the best I've ever done by far, but with the Turner high ankle sprain I should be going bye-bye soon. Betts and Bush can only carry me so far, and Vernon Davis is finally slowing down. I'm okay with that though, I put in a lot of time with my selections this year and I think it paid off (figuratively). Knowing how many entries there would be, and looking at ADP adjusted towards Dodds' VBD knowing it was FBG subscribers I was going up against, I basically tried to go 70% upside/30% value/foundation where Rodgers and Moss were most of that 30%. With the other 70% I favored lottery ticket/dark horse picks over consensus "safe" upside picks. Also, reading all of the posts in the thread regarding Dodds' FF Index best ball team, I knew going all Philly/Saints/etc. WRs would not make my team very unique, so I only used this strategy in the Dallas backfield behind Barber.

QB - Aaron Rodgers - 27

QB - Mark Sanchez - 9

RB - Michael Turner - 41

RB - Kevin Smith - 30

RB - Felix Jones - 11

RB - Michael Bush - 6

RB - Kevin Jones - 3

RB - Ladell Betts - 2

RB - Tashard Choice - 2

RB - James Davis - 2

WR - Randy Moss - 42

WR - DeSean Jackson - 24

WR - Devin Hester - 19

WR - Percy Harvin - 5

WR - Chaz Schilens - 3

WR - Robert Meachem - 3

WR - Deon Butler - 2

TE - Vernon Davis - 9

TE - Jermichael Finley - 3

TE - Chris Baker - 1

PK - Jay Feely - 1

PK - Steve Hauschka - 1

TD - Green Bay Packers - 3

TD - St. Louis Rams - 1

Down to 55 Romo owners still alive.
Not sure if it is good to be a Romo owner or not. Having only 55 owners left, means Romo has been very inconsistant. At this stage in the contest, another bad week by Romo can mean the end to many of the remaining Romo owners. With Romo, Sanchez and Leinart as my QB's, I am not too confident I can survive another bad week from Romo. Miles Austin , where have you gone.

My mistake...when I re-read it and it said combined scores, I thought all players, not combined for those weeks....dumb reading comprehension for me. Makes more sense the way they have it, and I like my chances better because of it.

I'm not sure either, but after my experience last year, I wanted to make sure I had at least one potential high scorer that would be somewhat unique, and Romo fits that bill perfectly. We have the same 3 QBs... and just have to hope that when Romo stumbles it coincides with a good game from Sanchez.Leinart is looking unlikely to contribute this year to our contest teams.

True about Romo being unique, but possibly counting on Sanchez having a good game is going against the odds. Sanchez has been horrible for weeks. I think alot comes down to how well Rodgers does. Because Rodgers is on so many rosters, a bad game by him greatly increases my teams chances of moving on. Personally,I am hoping that the majority of the final 250 teams that survive have Rodgers. Because if my team somehow makes the final cut, a cold streak from Rodgers could greatly increase my chances of winning this thing. Unfortuneatly I am running out of players. My worthless picks so far have been J. Davis, J. Galloway, C. Brown, the Edge. Leon Washington is out, Kevin Smith has been horrible. My kicker from Baltimore just got cut. And Matt Leinart wont see action unless Warner gets injuried. Fitz, D. Clark and R. Moss have basically carried my team.

I think my 3 TE investment of $28 has been a big help with Zach Miller, Vernon Davis, and Brent Celek. Have used them 3, 5, and 7 times respectively with 5 double TE formation weeks. Furthest I've ever made it in the contest, knock on wood.

More news of significance to the contest:

Oakland names Bruce Gradkowski starter ==> All the teams that have been riding on the coattails of JaMarcus Russell are in serious trouble now

Ronnie Brown out for the year

62 teams still alive with ronnie brown
:here:Rodgers, E.Manning, Sanchez

R.Brown, Parker, C.Taylor, Bradshaw, Forsett, J.Davis

Ocho, DJax, VJax, Mason, Meachem, Britt, L.Robinson

Keller, H.Miller, M.Bennett

Gostkowski, Carpenter, Janikowski

Cards, Saints

I was feeling better about my chances with Forsett emerging, but losing Brown will probably knock me out. Maybe Parker will rise from the dead... no? Yeah probably not.. :)

65.9%...better than 50/50 I suppose, but not great either. The fact that even the top ranked team cant beat 96% shows how much harder the results are getting to predict.

Ronnie Brown owner here...hopefully Charles can step it up enough. I only have Rice, Bradshaw, Charles, and Bush for RBs since I only picked 6 (Edge was the other).

Ranked 1008 for this week, so hopefully Moss, VJack, and Boldin can put me through since I am the only one with all 3.

Its crunch time now. I hope my big 3 of Fitz, R. Moss and Clark can carry me through. It sucks to get this far and not make the final 250. Two years in a row I made it to the final 500 only to get knocked out in the last cut. Hopefully this year I can atleast make it through to the final 250. Good luck everyone. Game is on.

Like my 90-something power ranking but am not too thrilled about my 55% survival projection.

Meh...just happy to be alive for now.
