Lost roughly 50% of Peterson owners this week.....
 Between byes (Peterson, Harrison), injuries (Washington) and suckitude (Edge), I was down to Grant as my only RB this week. Also didn't have any depth at WR or TE.I thought after getting past Brady's and Moss' byes last week that I might be OK, but I was really worried about this week ... for good reason.Oh well. Good luck to all those left.

With Portis's history, and the expanded roster, why would you not spend the $2 to cover yourself?
I've seen the argument made that handcuffing your studs is a waste of money in this contest. That if your stud RB goes down, you're going to be eliminated anyway so rather than spend money on a guy that won't have value until your stud gets hurt, spend that $2 on someone who might produce all year.I have no idea if that line of thought is right or wrong, but it may be why so many Portis owners didn't pick up Betts. You seem to be making the case that it's wrong, but there's not nearly enough info available here to make that conclusion - especially considering that people who bought Betts and not Portis have survived at a better rate than those who bought Betts and Portis.

I'd be curious to see how many of the 57 owners who bought Portis but not Betts were eliminated this week.
I don't usually cover my studs, but in Portis case he has too much injury history to ignore, and Betts has to much history of doing great when he does, to ignore.

Betts and Schilens - CBSsportsline is reporting that Chaz starts this week - woo hoo!

I'm frankly shocked I'm still in. I figured with the AP bye this week and my only other decent RB being Grant, I was toast. Thank you Vernon Davis and Greg Olson for saving my bacon!

I'm late to the party, but is there some app that allows you to find your uniqueness? A link would be greatly appreciated.

NM ... thanks, Fanatic.

I only got 12 freaking positional players going for me this week. Roster down to 17 now. Ouch!!!!

Its like im running from the cops but i know they gone get me....they got the bird in the air and the spike strips on the ground and im running on a quarter tank of gas.

thats how i feel.....THE END IF COMING for me.

Two teams still alive with both ADP and MJD.

One team has Palmer, Randy Moss, Harvin, Jennings, Dallas Clark, Meacham/Heap

Second team has Rivers, Driver, Berrian, Burleson, Dallas Clark, Maroney/Roy Williams/Shockey

The team with Rivers has Culpepper as a back-up QB. He scraped by in Wk5 because Culpepper started and put up 23+ pts.

Barely escaped last week. Always knew this week could be trouble as most avoided week ten byes. It is a must score week for Aaron Rodgers as my other QB Schaub is on bye.

For WRs really need V Jackson to keep it up and be joined by three of D Mason, Maclin, Schilens, Britt and Bruce, the last two have disappeared lately and of course Chaz is up for the first time. I have quit even looking for scores from Engram and missing AJohnson on bye as well.

My RBs have been reduced from five to two, losing Washington and Davis to IR and misplacing FWParker. Down to Grant and Kevin Smith

My TEs have also suffered injury, losing Cooley and temporarily Finley. Hope that Finley can return to assist Heap.

PKs have been solid all year with Carpenter, Hauscka and J Brown

DSTs have been solid all year with Saints, Bengals, and Raiders.

LOL - that's another guy who deserves a 3-week concussion from Week 14-16! I say "deserves" because I wasn't smart enough to put him on my roster!

More and more, I am not sure I would want ANY Colt on my rooster after week 14.

More teams took Betts and Chaz Schilens (674/135 left) than took Henderson and Meachem (221/57 left).

for the life of me I cant understand that - Henderson Meachem combo at the cost were virtually guaranteed successful in best ball

Of course 11 of us took all four of them, with 5 left - 45% - and none of us eliminated the last 4 weeks.

But there wasnt the history with Percy and Sid - (I also bought PH with the NO boys)What I am saying is that the history of both recievers indicated a high probablity of it being a great pair for best ball

I'm very glad to have that combo. Berrian's hammy problems at the end of preseason led me to choosing Rice.Somebody like Rice could be a difference maker in the final 250.

The Colts could have home field advantaged wrapped up by week 15. Could see Manning, Wayne, and Clark sitting on the bench the 2nd half.

This contest ends week 16, the season ends week 17, the Colts would have a bye week 18, and not have to play again until week 19. Do the players really need more than 3 weeks rest?

I have seven guys out and I'm down to only D Williams and Charles at RB, but somehow Rodgers, Saints DST and using a few more spots on WRs and TEs keeps me alive.

I doubt if the Colts will do it again, but the last time the Colts were in that position, Manning and Harrison played one series each for the last two weeks. But then the Colts went on to blow in the playoffs.

Only 1 QB (Garrard) and 2 RBs (Rice, DeAngelo) this week. Not the worst matchups, but going to need alot of luck and some huge games from my WRs to have any chance this week.

I agree. If they sit them at all, it will likely be for only part of week 17.

Also lowest on the season and fully expected, but even lower than anticipated.

Missung Studs AJ and Schaub, although still have Rodgers solo at QB

Only 42%

Over 82 percent and moved up in power ranking. Percentage is about the same, but moved up in ranking. Thought losing C. Henry would hurt me, but perhaps gaining Betts as a starter for a couple weeks helps.
Looks like the sim is getting a little more separation now, even top teams are showing some potential for missing the cut. I'm in the sim top 100 this week (about as high as I've been all year), but have one of my lower % advance so far aside from my no QB week. I suspect now that a larger % is getting whittled away it takes less than a colossal collapse at a position to get whacked. When we get to weeks 12 and 13, team margin for error is even worse. I suspect very few teams will have a high advance % and the sim may not have the same accuracy at that point either. Too lazy to look up last year's thread, but it would be interesting to see how it went down then.Good luck, and game on everyone! :lmao:

There is no way the sim stays as accurate. The smaller sample size alone makes the margin of error much much greater. The teams are much more evenly matched up, and there are no more big bye weeks either. But still very interesing.

My uniqueness has fallen recently. If I can get some production out of Chris Brown and Chad Schilens, that will help my uniqueness score and my team.

#163 in the Sim and #177 in the power. Only 1 significant bye left with Schaub in Week 10. As long as Cutler doesn't lay an egg @ SF I'll be in good shape :ptts:
And what does Cutler do?.....he lays a big, fat, freakin' egg, the size of Chicago. :kicksrock: Goodbye everyone....it's been fun. :lmao:

We have 88 teams with Cutler and most have him as their #1 QB.
that's me.. and now I have to hope Stafford has a good week at Minny if I have any hopes of moving on. Not. Looking. Good.
