***Official Survivor S29: San Juan Del Sur*** (1 Viewer)

Was the timing of the tribe re-draw scripted prior to the start of the game or do they decide to do it after the game starts depending on what happens?
I would like to believe it was planned, but I'm guessing the producers saw what an assskicking the blue tribe was putting on and decided to switch things up.

But I wish they would just let things play out so we can watch them starve and beg Jeff for food.
I'm sure they have a vague plan that is shot to hell 3-4 weeks in making it meaningless.

Don't think they can let them starve. Would just call the bluff. Plus half of the new tribe was not involved with the overeating anyway. Just wait it out a day or two as opposed to going to an automatic tribal.

If you're Dale, when you get back to camp do you just start making as much rice as you can possibly eat?
Shark move is to work on taking out the mother next and then make a deal with the three singles to take out the one remaining couple.
Why would either of the couples left agree with that on the next vote? Leaving the remaining couple down in numbers. Just put all 5 votes on Dale if he has an idol then what happens, happens.

Dale needs the team to win the next immunity challenge. 12 is almost always the merge at this point. If the other tribe votes off Wes or one of the couples then you've atleast evened the playing field between couples and singles. I always hate throwing immunity challenges, but I can see a valid case for the orange tribe to throw. You can protect the players on the other tribe and you have an odd man out on your tribe.

I thought the fake idol was actually going to work on them.
:goodposting: Dale made the best move he could make.. and they did buy it or they wouldn't have split their votes..

Can't wait until Baylor and her mom turn on the other couple after the merge.. Baylor already stabbed you in the back once, why in the hell would you believe she wouldn't do it again? :bye:

Since only one person can win everyone turns/backstabs on the others at some point. But agree they will go against them. Calling my shot now based off last nights show and the edit so far Nathalie and Baylor are in the final two/three.

Of course there has to be some back stabbing at times..

But at this point I'd had felt safer bringing Dale into my mix with Keith, who are loners and just looking to hang on, then build an alliance with someone who already turned on me once.

Once you went down that road you're kind of made your choice or you will be perceived as a flip flopping couple. Dale offers nothing going forward as he was a true loner with no allies from either tribe who could just as easily side with the singles going forward.

Has Keith ever watched Survivor before coming out to play? Or is he really as totally oblivious to everything as the editing makes him look?

Does he know how to play an idol or what having one really means?

In any event, he is one dumb hillbilly.

My guess is all editing.. we never once saw any of the couples talking to him.. Yet when the couples talked about voting amongst themselves they made it clear they were going to vote 3 and 2, preferably Dale..

So, they knew they already had Keith's vote vs. Dale locked up.. Keith was only told "We are voting Dale out" .. Without knowing about the fake idol there isn't way for him to think he was on the outside so of course he felt safe and didn't play the idol.

I would have loved for the couple to join up with Dale and Keith and vote out the Mom.. Then have Dale hand over the fake idol and watch the :lmao: ensue when he went to try and play it later in the game.. :kicksrock:

Wonder how they will explain to Keith the two votes against him? Kelly said in a exit interview Missy was flirting with Keith and Keith was buying what she was selling.

I thought it was awesome when the guy shouts out "who's Big John now!" and then proceeeds to lose the comp.
:lmao: Huge oof moment there.

I didn't think the punishment for the rice trade was bad enough. I agreed with Jeremy they should have toughed it out knowing a food reward and the merge could be right around the corner.

I was so hoping that would have worked. I mean, he was going to give a fake idol to someone who would have thought it was real and strategized accordingly. How awesome would it have been to have dude "play" his idol only to find out it wasn't real.

Jeremy was right, but he didnt say a word while it was going down. He just cried about like a bich during the "diary" sessions.

Jeremy realizes that keeping your mouth shut, especially when your opinion is in the minority, can be a good idea.

Keith is not a loner. Wes is on the other tribe and you almost always merge at 12. Now, if the couples are smart they'll band together and vote off the 4 singles, or atleast most of them.

Oh, I get that, but you can be tactful in conversations. You dont have to be argumentative. I just dont like it when people are passive, then ##### afterwards.

He may or may not have said anything to them, but his face was full of disgust when they made the trade and then again when he saw the reward. Hard to hide that face.

BvsW was done again way to soon. all this lovey crap has gotten old, especially with the two gay guys, this is survivor for christ sake. Plus is seems painfully obvious who wins this thing already.

Yep. Can't believe they admitted to even considering their options at that point. If they were going to vote out Baylor or her mom they needed to do it the previous vote. No reason to make another enemy.

Put it in a spoiler and we'll see if you are right

Girl has probably never worked for anything a day in her life. Not surprising she gives up the second things get tough.

Absolutely loved her thinly veiled "people don't like me because I'm hot" speech.

Agree 100%, it was hard to watch it was so sad. Everyone doesn't hate you because you're hot, they hate you because you whine, tan at the beach like you are on vacation, hide food and act like you are dying when you get wet.

She tried to dance around it. "I don't know why people don't like me, maybe they think I'm unapproachable, or that I stay to myself, or I'm vain. It's like I'm in Mean Girls."

Pretty shady that the tribe is going through other peoples things like that. I understand if people think Julie is shallow but going through people's things is pretty shallow as well, if not more so. There should be a penalty of some kind for digging through stuff.

At the same time.. who the F leaves the bag behind to go tan when you know they are looking for food and you know you are hording it? :loco:

That scene had so much nuanced awesomeness. She had juuuuuuuuust enough self awareness (like 2% of what normal people have) to realize that saying "These people hate me because I'm hot" would make her look like a total ####. But she's also just dumb enough not to know that every single person would see right through her horrible attempt to dance around it.

"I guess people find me unapproachable because I....take care of myself....". I love how plastic surgery and living off your boyfriend's money (although his $5 mil in career earnings is probably mostly gone) constitutes taking care of yourself.

It really reminded me of this

This has got to be the ultimate failure for the producers of this show. I'm sure the #1 thing on their mind when vetting potential players is : Will this player quit??

Feel bad for Keith. Meaningless immunity challenge win for him.
I'm wondering if it will carryover. Maybe have a second challenge and two people are safe. Doesn't winning immunity mean you are safe from the next vote? The next vote hasn't happened yet, so he should still be immune IMO.

Can't think of it that way. Think of it this way ... winning immunity means that you are safe from begin voted out / evicted on Day X. It expires once a person has been removed on Day X.

What Jeff usually says is "X wins immunity and is safe at the next tribal council". Not saying those are the actual rules but it implies that the winner gets to use the immunity necklace at a tribal council.

I will have to go back and watch what Jeff said when Keith won.
