***Official Texas Rangers 2015 Thread*** - Congrats Banister! (2 Viewers)

Ok, if you say so. This is the second premier player in as many years that you wanted gone, and had nothing nice to say about the organization. It's becoming a pattern, just sayin'.
Unless I'm forgetting something, Hamilton's comments were about the fans not the organization.

How is The Prince of Whales looking so far this spring?
39 AB's, 11 SO's. , 0 BB's
I had Fielder on my FBB when he was with the Brewers so I used to watch him quite a bit. Seemed like he could drive the ball anywhere with power all over the field. When he came to Detroit he did not look like the same hitter for whatever reason. The last half of last season I can barely remember Fielder driving the ball with authority. Plus he was swinging at horrible pitches. Maybe batting behind Cabrera messed his head up.

I know it's spring training and don' want to over react, but that k/bb number does not look good. If you look at Prince's previous ST's his k/bb numbers are a lot more inline with his typical stat line. Hopefully just a bad case of spring training combined with small sample size.

I don't think working the count is being emphasized this spring. Fielder, Adduci, and Choice have zero. Andrus, both Beltres, Arencibia, Rosales, and Rios have one each. All of those guys have over 20 at bats.

And I don't have a problem with that. These aren't real games... go ahead and take some cuts.

Fielder had a solid rope tonight that he legged into a double.

Jurickson Profar has been diagnosed with a torn right shoulder muscle and will be sidelined for the next 10-12 weeks.

Soto undergoing an MRI on his right knee.

and from Newberg

And . . . outfielder Engel Beltre apparently has a fracture in his right shin area and will start the season on the disabled list. If you want a little silver lining in all this injury news, this means Beltre’s 40-man roster spot no longer hangs in the immediate balance. He’s out of options, but with the DL assignment he’ll be able to go out on a minor league rehab assignment when physically ready to do that. At the conclusion of the rehab assignment the club will have to make a decision on Beltre – just not in the next seven days.

Courage

1. Choo, LF

2. Andrus, SS

3. Fielder, 1B

4. Beltre, 3B

5. Rios, RF

6. Moreland, DH

7. Arencibia, C

8. Martin, CF

9. Wilson, 2B
Courage.

Obviously you want Profar over Wilson there, but the lineup is pretty much in order. Hopefully the pitching injuries can be weathered for a while.

Choice, who made his Major League debut against the Rangers on Sept. 2, played in just nine games for Oakland last season. Choice might not get regular playing time to start this season, but his role and versatility allow Washington to break him in slowly, pick the right spots and not over-expose him too quickly.

"I don't have a set amount of time he'll play," Washington said. "He'll get his at-bats, but then it's just like Spring Training. ... The more he takes advantage of his playing time, the more he will play. He'll get some DH time against left-handers who are very tough, he'll get pinch-hit time, he'll come in on defense and he can play all three outfield spots. He's very versatile."
Cliff Lee still seems like a tough lefty to me, but I guess opening day is more about seniority.

Yu makes everything better. The air smells sweeter, my coffee tastes better. 3-3 with this M.A.S.H unit for a starting pitching staff doesn't seem so bad.
