860 mile trip @ 30 miles a day would have been 28+ days of travel.

At least show them travel-weary

Oy
I was wondering this morning, how do they look so fresh? Reality dictates they would covered in grime with grease dripping off their hair but they look like they just walked off the pages of a magazine. All these apocalyptical shows seem to miss that nuance. ain't nobody taking regular showers when you are struggling to just have enough drinking water to survive.

They also talked about packing enough food for 2 weeks for 2 people. That ain't enough for that trip and that much food would take up a whole helluva lot of space regardless of what the old grumpy dude said he packed for them.

Don't know how many horses they could take but I was surprised when dina made it sound like taking only 1 horse was strategically advantageous.
I'll stick with it unless there's an episode dedicated to the 2 of them going to a mall.

Did I see a CGI squirrel on the trail?

Kinda weird how they just transported them to right outside Seattle.
Thought the same thing. Even went so far as to google how far it was. But they sure did make it seem like a quick trip.
And I get why, nobody wants to watch a show of two people sightseeing for 860 miles, you have to compress time. All I'm asking is you muss them up a little bit, they look better pulling into Seattle then when they left.

I would have loved to hear a "RASMOOOOOSE" off in the distance someplace (only those who have braved The Rain will know).

I live about 35 miles from Seattle and I'm exhausted driving through traffic to get there.

Yup....the fact that ellie's Latina companion was running around Seattle with shampoo commercial quality bouncy hair and not a spec of dirt on her skin or clothes (at least until they started running away from stuff) is more than a little immersion-breaking.

She had ****ing eyelashes in!!!!

Ok I'm past bashing on the cleanliness of our main characters, back to the show. Got a little intense in the latest episode, pretty sure I would leave a sizable deposit if I was in a train car like that.

Enjoy the last episode and so far have enjoyed the season. It hasn't hit the highs of some of last season (Nick Offerman episode) that made it much better then your normal zombie show and seems to be falling into the typical Zombie type show issues. If you like that entertainment (like I do) then hard to complain but can definately see how others might have issues.

Show has quickly gone from my favorite show on tv to a laughable turd burger.
It's not horrible, so far. But it isn't a must-watch anymore. The actor playing the main character isn't near charismatic enough to carry this.

It’s getting there quickly for me. S1E3 was one of the best acted, well written, entertaining tv episodes I’ve ever watched. The last couple episodes could have been written and acted by junior high kids.

Is that a normal reaction to "i'm pregnant"?
She was just making sure
There is a pic roaming around the internet that now lives rent free in my head during this moment of the episode where said pic focuses on a particular part of Ellie's anatomy that I can't unsee.
I have no clue what this means. Last night actually got me back in her corner a bit with Nora. At least now she doesn’t need to be reasonable.

At this point, they’re just making a live reenactment of the video game. It feels like it too. There’s no real connection left with the characters and each scene is there to move things along and get you to the next “challenge”. The game actually has more emotion attached, the series has an emotional empty feeling. Up until she met up with Nora, it seemed like more of a vacation than revenge mission.

I definitely got a "game feel" to last nights episode.

Ellie is unlikable. Hell, she doesn’t seem that smart and I keep expecting her to be for some reason.
She's super unlikable and pretty cringe. Getting close to tapping on this one, but with only one episode left in the season I'll hang on. This season has been mediocre to bad for all but the second episode of the season and 3 minutes of Lalo Salamanca imo.

She accused Joel of being selfish. That’s exactly what she is. I really want to like her, but that has become impossible.

Yup. That porch scene was pure cringe

As someone who loves the games, was not a fan of the girl they got to play Ellie. Also, they have not spent near enough time on the Abby character story line. They are saying next week is the last episode. I much would have preferred they broke this up to get a season 3 out of it to go into more detail. Game is a much better story line IMO.

It’s going through to a season 4.

A show about moral ambiguity results in characters that are hard to root for.

I think this type of story lends itself better to video games than it does television. Playing AS the character seems to add something to the emotional impact of the story.

I didn't know that. Thanks. Then hopefully plenty of time to get into the details.

4th season being hinted at. I'm assuming it will go:

2: Ellie
3: Abby
4: Collision course

I know this is a repetitive statement, but I just wish Ellie was smarter than she is. It’s a downer. Plus she is too impulsive.

Yes and no. She's not only a teen/young adult but she's grown up in the apocalypse. Having gone through as many close calls as she's already had in her life would only increase the sense of invincibility that a lot of young people feel.

What looks risky to the old looks like bravery to the young. But the Joel/Ellie dynamic is, in part, saying is that when you're older you feel like you have more to lose.

Telling Gail about what happened to Eugene was totally selfish. It didn't help Gail in her grief. It only helped her feelings of moral superiority over Joel.
