Has anyone ever tried reasoning with the zombies? Or has it always been a war mongering attitude towards them? It's no wonder they are so angry at us.
It's possible. She has certainly changed considerably from season 1 and 2.Again, I don't read the comics but Andrea was a major character there, right? Is it possible Carol is turning into the TV version of that character? She's become tougher and more hardened over time. I wonder if they're taking aspects of Andrea from the comics and infusing them into Carol on the show now.
True, but they'd still have Michonne, Maggie and Beth (who still pines for Rick. we all know it's true). They seem to be focusing a lot of the storyline on Carol at least right now. Maybe they're giving her a strong arc before killing her off like they did (or attempted to do) with Andrea last season. It's possible. I was thinking they might kill Carol off soon but that would mean zero season 1 female characters still standing.
cuz it looked like a lesbian handprintZow said:Interesting. I recall the bloody handprint, but had no idea why that could be tied to Carol.snogger said:shadyridr said:rick noticed a handprint on the door. Kind of just put two and two together and just asked.Zow said:Did one of the episodes show Carol killing the two people? I was :shuked: when it came out that it was her. How did Rick figure it out?
Note: I need to stop watching these episodes when I'm half-asleep.he found something near one of the bodies, then followed the blood trails back to the door where he found a bloody hand print. He had already brought up the possibility that whomever killed them was doing it to save the group.
Then watching her sacrifice her safety to get the water running led Rick to think Carol was the one.
If only zombies hadn't eaten all the other vehicles in the world.Well, it's not like they have a FULLY LOADED 2012 HYUNDAI TUCSON 0.0% APR!!!! just laying around. Hyundai cancelled that deal in season 3.They were very stupid for taking that car. As if 0 to 60 is more important than 4 wheel drive in the zombiepocalypse.

I mean where down south would someone be able to find a 4x4 or monster truck that could plow over and through most anything, especially since roads are blocked and they have to offroad at momentsIf only zombies hadn't eaten all the other vehicles in the world.Well, it's not like they have a FULLY LOADED 2012 HYUNDAI TUCSON 0.0% APR!!!! just laying around. Here's my thoughts which are worth aboutI still enjoy the show a lot but the start of this season is the weakest of the first four in my opinion. Gimple's character-driven approach is clearly evident and the tone is definitely different than what was employed in the past by Darabont and Mazzara. While I'm fine with that I wish the "threat" the group was dealing with had more menace to it. Hopefully that's still to come since we know the Governor is returning at some point. But while the idea of a disease killing them off in this mucked up world makes sense in terms of exciting storytelling it isn't producing a lot to this point. But as someone who stressed patience during the alleged slowness of Season 2 I'm not going to pass judgment until we see the story in its entirety.
I don't read the comics so I don't know what Tyresse's character is like there but he's really been difficult to watch so far this season. He's really quite the p***y and he didn't seem to be that way in his brief time last season. Hopefully he starts to man up or they can kill him off.![]()

The flu is just part of the story line to force the group out.. right now it is to find medicine..
But now that they are "out and about", the first group ditched the car and others will be heading out soon to search, the real plot will turn with the massive herd of Zombies grouped outside of town and the voices heard on the radio.
Thank you.Karen died. His sister is sick and close to death. It's a zombie apocalypse. The world is ####ed up.The opening scene last week with Tyresse's little hissy fit was an abomination.Disagree with all of thisTotally. The acting on the show is awful. Tyrone is the worst offender.pantherclub said:The Hershel speech before he went into the sick area was cringe worthy
And, for the record, I like this show. It is losing me a bit this year though. Tyresse's dash from the car after contemplating possibly not wanting to live anymore (because a chick who he had never actually slept with was killed before she died and turned into a zombie) might have been an all-time low point for the show. On several levels.
You're way off.

Seriously. His name's Cutty. We have at least three people calling him Tyrone. Is this shtick?
Come on! A 4x4 in the south? You can hardly blame us. Marilyn Manson himself called that kid Carol's daughter.Bigboy10182000 said:Thank you.Karen died. His sister is sick and close to death. It's a zombie apocalypse. "Hey, everything is messed up because I don't know or can't remember WTF is happening....but I've been a fan of the show"
pretty sure if they spent 3 weeks having us "getting to know" the Woodbury people the complaints of a boring beginning would be a million times worse. Here's why I have a problem with the start of the new season:
It basically comes down to them making a big deal about saving all the Woodbury people at the end of last season but it turns out they were simply a cheap plot device. They were only brought in so a bunch of unimportant people could be killed and force the group to leave the prison. No emotional investment, just a bunch of convenient things happening to move the plot along.
They brought them in to show the change in Rick realizing that they couldn't go on ignoring and avoiding others who are trying to survive just like them.Should've left them.pretty sure if they spent 3 weeks having us "getting to know" the Woodbury people the complaints of a boring beginning would be a million times worse. Here's why I have a problem with the start of the new season:

Exactly. If I was writing it I would have had the Woodbury people vote to stay in Woodbury rather than go to the prison.Should've left them.pretty sure if they spent 3 weeks having us "getting to know" the Woodbury people the complaints of a boring beginning would be a million times worse. Here's why I have a problem with the start of the new season:

I would have left out the virus story line and sped up the zombie horde coming to the prison instead.
But, as snogger pointed out, you're missing out on a major character development of the main character.Exactly. You don't think 7000 zombies is enough to snap him out of being a farmer? But, as snogger pointed out, you're missing out on a major character development of the main character.

I'm all for developing characters and was one of the few that liked the episodes on the farm. This virus story adds no drama to the show and it's completely transparent what they are trying to do. If Hershel dies from the virus he's the only character who matters to viewers who will have. They should just fight zombie hordes every show.
The role of the unpredictable heartless pragmatist in a post-moral zombie apocalypse is currently being played by Carol. Kind of strange and unexpected if you think about it.I really think the show is missing a guy like Shane or Merle. It was always a great struggle within the group. That's not there now and it feels kind of empty. There needs to be a major struggle between some of the main characters. The flu outbreak is OK but there needs to be more than that imo.
from ricks bad ### partner to daryls badass brother to a badass lesbianCarol just murdered two people and Rick now knows about it. Could be some conflict there.
She's not intimidating and I don't always wonder what she will do next. I don't really care what she does at anytime. When she said she killed those people, I didn't phase me any. When Shane killed Otis or tried to kill Rick, it was awesome. Merle being so unpredictable as well. Carol isn't the least bit interesting. I loved Merle and Shane. Am I alone in thinking that way? May just be me, but it's not the same with Carol, not even close.Eta: We always knew things would come to a head at some point with Merle and Shane. It was always in the back of my mind in every episode.Carol just murdered two people and Rick now knows about it. Could be some conflict there.
Actually, Dale would be better to have around. Shane was a lunatic on the verge of Governor status. The group would be much better off with Shane around. Killing him off was a horrible move.
I couldnt tell if they were walking to or from the town/ building in the background.why would there be so many zombies at the town. there has to be something there that's attracting them like a zombie bunnyranch
and why did carol kill those two?
The drama the virus adds is that now the threat isn't just from the outside world. They had started to feel safe and now are faced with the reality there is no such thing as safe.I'm all for developing characters and was one of the few that liked the episodes on the farm. Buy? Are you going to leave some money or IOU on the counter at the local Wal-Mart?Actually, Dale would be better to have around. Shane was a lunatic on the verge of Governor status. The group would be much better off with Shane around. Killing him off was a horrible move.
Some need to remember this is a show about zombies. This show is giving us much needed information to how to go about life when the real zombie apocalypse begins. Let the prisoners free and take over said prison to start life over. Keep communication up. Buy generators. Buy canned goods. Keep fresh water and ration it. Alcohol is great to have not only for food qualities but for medication sterilization. Take notes people cause when the real one hits, many will act even more dumb than this group.

I agree with pretty much everything in this post. Character development is vital. Otherwise, this would be like a video game. I don't mind the threat of this virus, but I don't think the execution of the episodes has been that great.I'd honestly have no interest in watching this show if all they did was fight off walkers every episode. One of the reasons why I enjoy the show so much is it isn't just about fighting zombies. To me, that would get old real quick. Although I think the pace to the start of this season has been the weakest of the seasons to date I like the fact they're introducing other threats which show how dangerous this world has become. Each season has essentially been about introducing new conflicts of some kind (Season 1 was just surviving; Season 2 was Shane and Season 3 was The Governor). If the walkers were the only threat I don't think the show would be near as good or anywhere near as popular as it's become.

Daryl said they'd been everywhere they could think of and found as much as possible.Wouldn't antibiotics been high on their shopping lists already? I figured they would've already tried to scrounge some up.
It's also hard to imagine Woodbury didn't have a medical supply. The Governor wasn't exactly shy about going out and getting what was needed.Wouldn't antibiotics been high on their shopping lists already? I figured they would've already tried to scrounge some up.
