Not sure what to think of this place... guy is going to die so *itch slap Beth

Filler episode that doesn't really offer anything to the overall story. I don't even think that the character of Dawn offered anything knew to the exploration of the role/philosophy of the leader in a group.

Wasnt crazy about that episode. Black guy was kid from Everybody Hates Chris. The cop in charge looked so familiar. Cant put my finger on what she was in. Gonna do some IMDB research.

It appears to me that Noah? the skinny black kid, is with Daryl and Carol got "savenapped" on purpose in an attempt to rescue Beth.

Eh, wasn't the best episode but I disagree. She's basically hanging on to some semblance of structure while succumbing to moral depravity to hold on to some false hope.

Timing is odd. She must have been in the hospital awhile from when she got savenapped until Carol got there.
Yeah, thought that was odd. I am assuming Carol was a plant as well, but I was wondering about timing.

There is no way Carol got nabbed by them after Beth got savenapped and then didn't say anything to Daryl about Beth. I think it had to have gone:

1. Beth gets grabbed.

2. Daryl meets up with gang (after Rick had killed one of them).

3. Daryl's group finds Rick's group and Rick bites the leader.

4. Rick/Daryl/everyone else go to Terminus/Carol and Tyrese go there as well

5. Terminus escape

6. Find church

7. Daryl and Carol bolt after car

8. Daryl comes back with ???

Most of those could be very short, i.e. 1 day or less than a day, but that still has to be a week. It didn't seem like Beth was there that long, but it could have been if she was "out" for at least a couple days. Seeing as she didn't recognize anyone that helped her and had no idea how she got there, I think the first few days she was out/sedated. In that case, the timing could be fine.

I enjoyed the episode. Not sure how an episode about Beth is filler since that was such a big event in last season. I do agree on Dawn, she is a weak leader who gets run over by her lieutenants and so she takes our her insecurities on Beth/Noah. False hope is a great way to describe it. She doesn't want to admit to herself that there is no one coming.

Was she the lady from Hello Ladies (the show on HBO from a year ago)? that's what i was thinking

That one girl that got her arm amputated and then she killed herself to turn into a walker. She was the girl who played in Whale Rider, She played Gaia in the Almighty Johnson, and she will be in Game of Thrones as Obara Sand.

Dawn the officer in charge her name in real life is Christine Woods. She has played in Hello Ladies and Flash Forward among others.

turns out i never saw anything she was in. She looks just like the actress whos in the show hanibal so that's who i was thinking of.

The lady behind Darrell is the female cop/leader.

I think she treats Beth the way she does because she was the play thing of those guys at one time.

Beth is quite the good shot. Lord.

Yeah the timeline of this could go a couple different ways, but i think Beth has been there plenty long enough to get this to present time. They had her doing some stuff she obviously would have needed some training for.

And i think Carol got nabbed on purpose.

Beth also was lucky to snatch a handgun with infinite ammo.

Timeline much easier to explain that all those mowed lawns.

I think Carol was NOT nabbed on purpose. She's not James Bond, she just got lucky with a bottle rocket once and now everyone thinks she's Rambo.

Beth probably had some training working with her dad who was a veterinarian.

Agreed here.. If that was the case Daryl wouldn't have looked so "sad" when he came out of the woods. he looked like he had been defeated and then called out "come on out"..

As pointed out above, guessing the guy who escaped the hospital somehow caught up to Daryl and maybe even carol at the time.. As they were questioning him, they get attacked.. Carol gets "savenapped" ( BTW, great phase  ) and Daryl is unable to save Carol but finds out from the escape about Beth..

Next week:

Based on the previews, it looks like it will be two weeks before we get back to the church.. last year I didn't care for the "Go forward with one group, back track story line for another group to catch up, then back track again" Story lines so hopefully they won't spend until the Fall Finale doing so.

Not my favorite episode, but it looks like it will lead to Beth being more like Carol going forward. She'll transition from the meek girl to a woman who learns how to survive.

Definitely the weakest episode of the season so far but I am interested to see how they all of the storylines together which I assume they will do at some point. Gimple has said they're playing with time altering in some fashion this season. Gotta think the group heads back to Atlanta at some point as well or at least some of them. I doubt Beth will have a separate storyline the entire season.

I do give the girl points for her crafty way of killing the cop. That was some good thinking on her feet. It will make Rick proud when they're reunited and he gives her his cop hat again.

Am I the only one happy to see something besides backwater Georgia?
I was. I am wanted to find out more about the bombing and napalm that was referenced. Washington decided to bomb Atlanta? Does this suggest that Atlanta is somehow the epicenter of the disease?

My thoughts on what happened with Darryl/Carol:

-They run into young Will Smith. He tells them about Hospital/How cops only want weak people who are not a threat

-Darryl/Carol decide to split up. Darryl will take young Will Smith back to Church and then come back with reinforcements, Carol will pose as weak woman to get picked up by Cops. Carol will help Beth on the inside. Darryl will

bring Rick and cavalry from the outside.

-Hospital cops are dead meat.

Me too. I don't get some of the comments. I liked the episode. I'm surprised no one mentioned anything about what Noah said. He mentioned a place with walls that he came from. Not sure why he left, but something tells me that wasn't a throwaway line. I wasn't sure if he said it was in Richmond or around there and he grew up in Richmond. Either way, sure seems like they will run across that place on their way to DC.
