***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (1 Viewer)

My points/thoughts.

1. The whole no gun thing on the farm makes ridiculously no sense. Them agreeing to it seems silly.

The gun things makes since if the family has loved ones tied up around the property, and do not want the

visitors to shoot on sight.

2. Still no explanation about how they keep the zombies off the farm.

A remote farm a ways off the highway would not get much traffic.

3. Nobody even asked a question about the zombie in the well and sending the kid down there was just insanely out of the realm of possibility.

Kind of dumb but they could not just leave it there and let it contaminate the water supply.

4. That farm is no longer "yours" pops. Its basically anarchy and the group has the guns. You cannot make them leave.

So after he saves your sons life you are going to turn around then demand that you let your group stay.

5. The dialogue is still beyond putrid.

Disagree - this weeks episode it was actually good.

I am really thinking of giving this one more week.
1. Rick and his crew dont know that.....yet2. the farm is only 2 miles off the highway and there are zombies in the woods

3. agree

4. My point still stands. Nobody really owns anything at this point.

5. we agree to disagree.

There was something to that zombie in the well. Why would a zombie break into a well? The boards were broken. Clearly, he was put there by someone. Something has to be in the barn. Daryl made mention that his "other" plans didn't work out. I'm thinking Meryl returning is going to change things quite a bit. The pregnancy is going to really change things. And will the asian kid want to leave the farm now? I wouldn't.
He wasnt that good, the girl wasnt impressed with him. She is probably moving on to Shane now.
I think Shane and the blonde hook up soon. She's getting into him.
Shane needs to rest up then.

After watching another week :lmao: Hey I'm with you on the plot holes and bad acting but it fills a spot for me so I'm in and I've #####ed just as much as some. Just roll with it or quit watching, pretty simple.

Insufferable show. My best pal from youth has been extraordinarily generous in taking me in during a difficult time so, to be polite, i've joined him in the ritual of watching this as his weekly bit of Appointment TV the past few Sundays. Four eps and i couldnt give two turds for a single character. Soap without suds, and only one waterlogged zombie last night to boot. When's Mad Men coming back?!

As to point #2. One side of the farm seems to be on a cliff. They looked over the river. The rest has shown to be fenced and fenced far off enough that if a zombie walked up to it, they wouldn't see the farm and thus might not try to get over it. They have a gate at the front entrance as eluded to in the previous episode which they keep shut for both their horses and cutting off any opening in the fence. Also, we've only been at the farm for 2-3 days now. Considering their location, you have to believe they could go several days if not weeks before seeing one hit the property.

In the teaser for next week...

You see them on the farm and one yells "walker", so they clearly do make it onto the property at some point.

I read all the comics written up to last October. I think issue 80 or something. I forget alot of the earlier stories though - is there a summary anywhere of comics I can look through without having to read them all again?

Oh yeah...why did Short Round have to ask Lori what it was she wanted from the Pharmacy? What did she write down on the list? Did she write "Tru-Blue" or some other name brand? Why not just write "HOME PREGNANCY TEST"? I assumed that because he didn't know what it was it was some sort of yeast infection treatment.

I got the feeling that the bedroll in the house belonged to Meryl.

The fact it was sardines and that Daryl didnt wait around said it wasnt Sophia. He would have waited around if it was Sophia.

He did go back outside and call out for Sophia, though. He didn't call out for Merle.

Yeah that was horrible. Just lasso the damn thing.
Yup. And when they pulled the kid out they must've hauled up 20' of rope for every 1' the kid actually was raised from the well.

That bothered me, I mean he's going to find out any what it is so why be so secretive about it - not to mention she being very picky about a specific brand. Anyway, like a lot of little things in this show you gotta let it go.

I thought that the fat zombie just fell through the boards. If they were hiding a zombie down in the well I don't think they would have told them that they were free to get water from that well.
Potentially, but the chick looked like she knew the zombie. She didn't have any problems killing zombies up close a few episodes ago, and they have like 5 wells to choose from.
Maybe she doesn't mind killing zombies outside the farm, but killing them there hits a little too close to home?

That whole scene was a series level low point in an otherwise ok episode. It was like they had to shoe-horn it in to move the plot uin the way they wanted, and it seemed unnatural and forced

Maybe she knows who it was, and that changes things like the guy in the premiere who couldn't kill his zombie wife

Never read the comics and don't read spoilers but it makes sense that there's something in the barn and my guess is it's a walker - maybe a family member or friend. That would explain why Hershel wanted the gang to surrender their guns. He doesn't want any of them shooting it. There has to be more going on with Hershel's group than we've seen so far.

There were some  parts (the well) but for the most part, it thought it was a well done episode. Foreshadowed alot for next week. Actually looking forward to see what happens when Meryl comes back

Also, I have been watching Talking Dead following the show, it's actually pretty good and relatively funny. Chris Hardwick seems like a big fan who does a good job calling out the good and bad.

A zombie in the well would have infected them? How? Haven't they shown little to no concern for zombie blood and pieces infecting them before?

They are doing #### to develop T-Dog's character.
Good, they can off him soon.I liked the episode and for those that are wanting more zombies, sorry to break it to you but the more the show progresses the less it is about zombies I would think.
The show's never really been about the zombies. It's a character-driven story. I'm cool with not showing them or a lot of them all the time.

I agree it was weak. If they had gotten the zombie out of the well would anyone have chanced the water anyway? It had been there for a month.

awful awful awful episode. so ####### boring. the whole pregnancy angle makes me feel like im watching The Young & The Restless. Almost ready to give up. They still havent found Sophia? Jesus Christ.

Injesting the water? I can't recall if the CDC guy mentioned if it was a virus, but if you think about a cold, shaking hands won't transmit the virus. It is taking that hand that now has the virus on it and touching a spot on your body (mouth, nose, eye) that allows the virus into your system. They have obviously seen that zombie blood on the skin doesn't turn them, but no idea if drinking contaminated water does.

I think I'm done with this show. I'll record it and fast forward to the zombie parts.

blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Kill 'em all zombies!

Horrible.

I don't know either but it's definitely smart not to take the chance. I think removing the walker from the well was the smart plan.

So they're worried about drinking the water with a zombie in it but not worried about having zombie blood and guts splatter across their uncovered face?

I dont mind character driven shows. The problem is I dont give two ####s about any characters except Daryl. I dont mind shows with no zombies the problem is how many ####### times can I hear the same conversations about them finding Sophia, and Carl is feeling better now, and do you believe in God, and the blond #####ing that she cant have a gun, and Shane having that conflicted look on his face, and that dyke worrying about her daughter, or Dale imparting some wisdom that just sounds so smug like hes everyones father, or Rick and his whore wife having a conversation which they clearly have no chemistry or love for eachother anymore. ITS THE SAME ####### CONVERSATIONS AND PLOT EVERY ####### EPISODE. Next week I predict they look for Sophia, the old man imparts some mumbo jumbo about having faith to Rick, Rick & his ##### sit there with nothing to talk about except Carl, the blond #####es about not having a gun, the dyke looks worried, and they sit by Carls bedside again.

They already know that blood and guts on their skin won't infect them. I don't recall a scene where they got blood in their eyes or mouth. Also, pretty sure the whiners brought up 28 Days Later early on as a good example and that show has an early scene where the girl tells the main guy that they had to kill her friend because he got some of the blood in his mouth. Seems fairly plausible as an answer based on other zombie lore.

Posts like this ruin good threads. You aren't going to get into the FFA HOF of posts with that rant. If you really feel that way, you are your signature if you are still watching.

Right, blood splattering across ones face leaves no danger of it getting into your eyes or mouth.
