Pretty interesting post credits scene from after the World Beyond finale. Look forward to seeing what this is setting up.

(The scene is unrelated to the finale, so it’s spoiler free if you haven’t watched it).

Thanks.  I couldn't stand the World Beyond teenage drama so I stopped watching.  Any other info about the Commonwealth or ties to the other two series?

ETA: I guess there is no season 3 so I might have to go back and gut out 10 or 12 episodes on fast forward just to get caught up on any crossover.

Same here. I only watched the first two episodes of season 1, then couldn’t watch anymore. I just watched the finale out of curiosity of how it ended. So I don’t have any other info about it. No plans on going back and watching the 17 episodes I skipped.

Ok, wait....there was a third TWD show? Or is this that commercial break 30 second scenes thing they showed a while back?
Kiddie drama.. World beyond. Don't worry, you didn't miss anything ( this is the last season) :bye:

Was really disappointed as the original teaser trailers looked to be more about rebuilding .. I made it through 4 episodes of the first season before I gave up.

Did the garbage pail kids make an appearance at least?

Wait, there is a kid show version of TWD?

It's more of a teen drama.

I tapped out when they took off cross country all carrying suitcases/backpacks on foot.  One of them found a bowling ball and decided that it was an essential item to pack along.
Yea, that was about where I tapped as well.. Hey, let me haul a 10+ pound ball around, it won't  slow me down at all

I was completely joking. this ####### show.
Why is that a surprise? We literally saw her save Rick and go with him on a helicopter. It was a good assumption we'd see her again if we saw Rick or the people who had the helicopters.

Negan leaving the group to go all alone.  Having the best character disappear for multiple episodes is just what this crappy franchise would do during it's final season.  He better come back in a big way.

Lord knows I crap on this show all the time but last nights episode wasnt that bad.  Still a lot of huh? moments but all in all in was pretty linear and made sense.

Of course he'll be back.. Probably sooner rather then later since they already made a 6 month jump..
Question is, does he regroup up with someone we know, or go it alone until needed.
So many groups he could end backup with.

Even though he left due to expecting Maggie to sooner or later take her shot at killing him, I could see him returning to join her against the Common Wealth.

Or, does he end up wherever it is that Garbage Pail kids leader took Rick off to 5 years ago?

Then there is always whatever group Maggie was part of , aka the Record lady.

Kinda surprised they show Daryl leading a team for CW.. Unless it is another "inside man" like he just did. :oldunsure:

Thought it was one of the better ones in the last 2 seasons.. I know that isn't saying much, but it is a start ;)

Well next week's episode has already leaked so I know Negan isn't in that one.  Every episode they have without him front and center is a missed opportunity imo.

They've already had the come back and save the day when he killed Alpha.  This ending arc needs to be mono y mono with him and Maggy.  But it won't, it will be all soap opera Common Wealth stuff they can spin off on.

After leaving a few seasons ago, I'm trying to hang with this final one.

Looks like it's going to be tough to do, based on last night's episode.

Did anything actually happen last night?? I mean other than the waiter yelling "they don't treat everyone fairly!"

The only thing that was worth watching was breaking the leg off and using it to kill... Otherwise

All of these must be out for streaming somewhere because I see them all available and am a week ahead now.

Expect a lot more   as they're building up the Commonwealth community as the next not what it appears to be on the surface community that has been done several times over already.....I don't see how they have anything meaningful and bring this all to an end in the 8 or 9 episodes they have left.

This should be Maggie vs. Negan all out death match war.  Not Eugene trying to figure out why he's been lied to the entire time.

According to IMDB, this season (the final season, number 11) is divided up into three eight episode sections. The current section is episodes 9 - 17 running weekly through mid-April  with the final third starting sometime in August.

Zombie apocalypse and the best they can come up with is "corrupt elitist government," really??? I think the title of that episode was "Cure for Insomnia."

Weird, strange episode...

Took them long enough to finish the "Eugene, you've been manipulated and used.. you are now a known as a :loco:  that no one will believe "

Hopefully the man in orange has had enough and starts working with Daryl to take the community down.

For those of you that still like the show and want to get in on having a collectible, they just came out with Walking Dead NFTs. I got in at .11 ETH. But the pass offers a ton of utility like a free airdrop and 5 exclusive pass holder NFTs. Limited to 5,000. Floor is 2.7 right now

So far the CW storyline sucks. Did they really need to show us the fishing trip with Carol?  They could have just talked about how the outskirt groups are trading with the city.  Instead, they fill in episodes with introducing new characters and the one in charge is corrupt... I was shocked!  I mean who could have seen that coming?  They keep surprising us.

Eugene was duped... again.  But, it looks like he may have come out with a potential upgrade if the last scene is true and she is in to him.

Last two episodes were boring. They need to push along the story of orange Vader.

Agree on "orange Vader".. thinking he is reaching his breaking point of following the leader and is about to go rogue

I just finished the episode where the real Stephanie comes to see Eugene at the end.  So where has she been all this time?  Is Eugene about to fall for something dumb again?

Anyway, what am I watching?  This commonwealth stuff is just over the top horrible.

Man, if only we could be arguing about the grass again.

I miss the early years. For a whole season we never left the farm and it was better than all the stuff now. The episodes right after the barn where they were struggling to find food. Rick biting that guy’s throat, finding Terminus. All that stuff was so much better. Heck, the Governor was a billion times better just for the scenes with Merle and when he went off on his own and juked the zombie.

I am waiting for it all to end and be on Netflix and then I’ll binge it to the end. As bad as I’m sure it got, I still feel like I need to watch the last couple seasons.

I am in the same boat.  It is really bad right now, but I want to stumble across the finish line just to see how it ends.
I thought the first episode of this part of the final season was well done and worth watching...

But the last two episodes could have been combined into a 15 minute clip and it still would have been to long.

Watching TV is supposed to make my treadmill workout pass quicker. These last two episodes seem to have had quite the opposite affect.

Well, that's one way to bring Negan back into the fold. Gabriel and Aaron are now on the outs with Commonwealth.. seems things might finally start getting interesting again.

'look at the flowers'

there was some unbelievably good TV in those middle seasons, along with the beginning of the silly (van-flips, bottle-rockets, etc).

I haven't watched since Rick blowed up on the bridge... or maybe an ep or two right after that, with people walking around in zombie masks.

I keep wanting to check back in- read this thread, and change my mind.

I was barely hanging in but stuck around to see Negan get introduced. I only watched a few episodes with him before bailing. I've kept up with the thread though and that seems to have been enough.

Was too drunk to properly assess yesterday's episode. But Negan finally came back with what two whole lines?  These writers could figure out how to make a turd sandwich taste worse.

Interesting part going forward is how long has Negan been part of this complex?
How was he able to function under the command of the "warlord" without bringing back Lucille to bash his head in?

and lastly, since everyone that is left alive at this new complex has no idea what guns they are talking about... who did take them..  or are those left willing to sacrifice the many, to save the few?

Assuming he joined up shortly after leaving Maggie, and according to Walking Dead Fandom timeline, less than 6 months.

I am like 3 or 4 behind, is this worth speed watching through them?

There's still some dumb stuff going on, but overall, I'm enjoying these episodes a lot more than previous seasons. The larger scale "world re-building" was really what I was interested in and that's obviously kinda where they're going with The Commonwealth.

Of course, there's some villains emerging now. But IMO, the struggle for power in the civilized new world is more interesting than just repeating the Governor/Negan/reapers/other random "warlord" power struggle we've seen half a dozen times.

I do find Maggie very annoying though. Holding onto the shell of Hilltop when there's a 50,000 person community offering safety/ice cream/sophisticated medical treatment is beyond stupid (even though we've seen that not everyone from there is squeaky clean or even "Good")
