They need to clarify what the zombies can and cannot do. Do they run or do they just stumble slowly? They hear and are attracted to noise and they smell right? Do they bend down and look under cars and do they have a reasoning like the zombie in the winnebago? Also how do you contract the virus because it would seem to me you wouldnt want their blood all splattering around on you.
I just think this series took a big step back in my opinion. I really dont think it would be too hard to find a place where there arent any zombies and hang out for awhile. I mean how can it be that hard?
Big zombie

here since watching Dawn of the Dead as a 10 year old.Have they even said it was a virus? If it follows the books then these are "Romero" undead (stated by Kirkman) and I don't think it has ever been established (conclusively) what causes "infection".
Some things that stand out/bug me:
- the biker (while acted well) is an unnecessary addition to the story. The chopper? Ugh.
- Stupid character decisions. Way to many mistakes for these people to have survived this long. I don't really have a problem with surprise zombie attacks. They are very quiet and sneaked up on them a lot in the books.
- Acting is meh.
- Lots of armored/unarmored transports left behind. Plus they run on diesel and that has to be way more plentiful than unleaded. This was an issue for me with the books also
.
- They
are going to have "zombies" in their zombie show right? (minor annoyance only because actors stink)
- Pacing. Only an issue because I have read the books. I understand they have to stretch it out.
- Attention to DETAIL!
- With such a great background story to draw upon why do the writers seem so aimless?
- If a zombie had jumped on that deer's back I would have quit then and there. LOL
- Biker dude telling Rick he could gut something better because of his experience in such matters. How many had he done? Looked like none from the way he was hacking at it.
- I can't bring myself to care about any of these people.
- I have no problem with zombie behavior. Romero established that zombie "intelligence" varies greatly i.e. some can use tools, some can't.
If you like it rock on. But I'm incredibly frustrated because I've given this show much of my time. It's shown tremendous potential. And it's rarely come close to hitting its potential.
Pretty much sums it up for me.I do like the make up/effects. Very good. Gregory Nicotero is doing an awesome job (expected w/his pedigree).
I realize the #####ing seems petty but most of us are trying hard to like the show but the writers are making it difficult.
