I still want a show based on reality (with zombies). If this turns into "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" with super human abilities then I will stop watching.

Super human abilities? It's a sword. People have been using them for centuries.

Like I said if she start doing some "ninja-backflipping-Kill Bill" type swordsmanship then I will stop watching.

Have you watched all the episodes? If so, wouldn't a sword make a hell of a lot more sense for that person than a gun?

The whole premise of that character pretty much destroys the show. The appeal of the show to most people (I think?) is to see how regular people would survive and develop personally and with each other during the zombie apocalypse. Now we've got some lawyer chick who's handy with a sword because she used to fence back in high school (or some such nonsense)? Give me a break. Oh, and the mindless zombies who would stop at nothing for a piece of flesh? They're completely tame (and perhaps even subservient) for this chick, who is so super cool that you can't even see her face from under her hood. It was fun while it lasted.

Did you have any problem with some lawyer chick (Andrea) who makes 15 head shots in a row? Or a shotgun that never seemed to run out of ammo?

These things were also ridiculous, but they are more or less standard fare for any action movie/TV show.

According to the wiki.....the timeframe for Season Two (at least the point from which Carl gets shot to when they leave the farm) is two weeks. A lot #### happened in those two weeks...so it might have slipped his mind. Plus up until the very end....they thought it was safe.

So that dude that had his leg impaled on that fence and then having it ripped from the fence like pulling an arrow out backwards...healed up enough to stand and deliver within that short of a time?

I don't write it Brah. I just relay it. I don't know.....did the fence go through bone or must flesh? He was still limping pretty severely.

This isn't really a spoiler but more a comment about the timeframe of the story. Still, not sure the protocol on giving anything away about the comics so...

For what it's worth, this sounds like the timeframe from the start of the story to when they left the farm in the comics, but not the show. In the video in the link above the writer dude says that 3-4 months have passed. They were at the farm quite a bit longer in the show than in the comics.

Lori is great. I don't see why people do not like her. She has a lot going on and she is the only one, other than Rick, who has to deal with a child and "family". Of the characters we have now, no other character has that issue and this is an issue from the old world, peaceful world. Her and Rick are unique compared to the likes of the others.

I forget which character said it.....but I'll summarize. Lorie is a INSERT BILL MAHER WORD HERE who has not to deal with any real loss in this New World. Hell...her husband came back from the dead AND she's going to welcome a new child at a time when every other woman is losing a loved one. She has her husband who loves her, his friend who loves her and her son....and she just sits there like butter don't melt in her mouth.

I hate her hair too. I know she can't exactly make it to the hairdresser with this whole zombiefest going on but something tells me she was sporting that 1979 hairdoo before everything went south.

Well, this is small town Georgia we're talking about.

This isn't the 1920s. No such thing as cultural isolationism any more. Even hillbillies have TV and the internet.

Dexter is and was one of my favorite shows...but it fell off a cliff this last season. The writing got sloppy and they tried way too hard to wow us, especially with a twist that EVERYONE saw coming.

I'm just saying that there are certain moments in a show's storyline that can end up losing connection with the viewers and subsequently spell the demise of the show.

Who knows...I may end up liking this character and it's story...but my gut reaction to it is:

By next season's end, I expect to see a zombified Fonzie jumping a zombified shark for the finale.

I think it is perfectly reasonable that some sick stuff would happen to the zombies if earth really became a zombie world.Look at what human's do to other humans during wartime. pretty sick stuff. When inhuman stuff starts happening, humans tend

to start acting inhuman. So the zombie pets, while pretty twisted, seems very much like something a human would do, if only to convince themselves that they are in control of a world that is out of control.

I bought a straight to DVD movie at Walmart a couple of years ago like that. It had a couple of characters that were raping/torturing zombies and pretty much killed their own group of survivors if I remember correctly. That one went in the garbage after one viewing it was so bad.

As someone who just freshly watched and only knows about what happened in the first season, some super-heroish ninja does sound a bit over the top. I found the "realism" of episode one to be good (although they are all crack shots and, statistically, I don't think the world would have dwindled down as fast as it did) and a key element of the show. Kinda like Breaking Bad where some crazy #### happens, but it's believable.

Think they should be careful. The heart of the show is a man trying to protect his family amdidst a zombie plague. Fantastical? Yes. But dealing with it in a realistic way is one of the strengths of the show. Why I say, "Even if you don't like zombie's you'll like the drama and survival aspects of it." As oppossed to watching True Blood but never recommending it to anyone.Barely have 10 good movies a year and a handful of good shows. If something is working on screen you should take pause to mess with it regardless of the source material. It's like magic in a bottle. A chick dragging around two zombies wielding a samurai sword seems a bit much. How far since the zombie plagues started like three months? We'll see how it plays out.

Mechonne is probably the most popular character in the story. Why would you think it won't be the same in the TV story? Everyone hates Lori-Carl-Carol, she just saved Andrea, adding a strong popular character can only help.

Gander Hills 20 miles from Thunderlips Castle....but in a Zombie Apocalypse it might as well be on the moon...it would that difficult to reach. I wouldn't recommend trying to get to it from my house.

By this logic, no one should have complained if The Sopranos had introduced The Incredible Hulk to Tony's screw, and no one should have anything negative to say if Kermit the Frog parachutes in to help out Bruce Willis if there's another Die Hard movie, right? After all, we're just looking to be entertained.

So why didn't Hershal ever suggest the prison to the group as a means to get them off his farm back before they all started playing house together and forgetting about zombies until Carl was mean and teased one?

According to the wiki.....the timeframe for Season Two (at least the point from which Carl gets shot to when they leave the farm) is two weeks. A lot #### happened in those two weeks...so it might have slipped his mind. Plus up until the very end....they thought it was safe.

So that dude that had his leg impaled on that fence and then having it ripped from the fence like pulling an arrow out backwards...healed up enough to stand and deliver within that short of a time?

I don't write it Brah. I just relay it. I don't know.....did the fence go through bone or must flesh? He was still limping pretty severely.

This isn't really a spoiler but more a comment about the timeframe of the story. Still, not sure the protocol on giving anything away about the comics so...

For what it's worth, this sounds like the timeframe from the start of the story to when they left the farm in the comics, but not the show. In the video in the link above the writer dude says that 3-4 months have passed. They were at the farm quite a bit longer in the show than in the comics.

That makes a bit more sense. I guess the point of the matter in regards to Herschel is that once he made the decision to allow them to stay....why would he tell them of a place that might be better?

WOW, a lot of over reaction on a character that was seen for 5 seconds. The days of going to Starbucks to get your morning coffee and read your iPad are long gone. It's the zombie apocalypse, the end of the world, you guys expecting normalcy? I would expect the unexpected, and welcome it in my zombie shows.

I've had my fill of listening to poorly-written halfwits pontificate about how "If we do XYZ, then we've lost our humanity!" I'm ready for something different.
