***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (3 Viewers)

With T-Dogg dying, that means we will not see how Merle acts towards him when the groups meet. I was kind of looking forward to that.

LMAO at people complaining about an episode in which they killed off not one, but two major characters out of the blue.
Obviously I'm in the minority on this one, but this episode was just very badly paced. They need to dramatically scale back the zombies for a while (how many consecutive episodes have we now had featuring all-out zombie battles?) and work more on the interpersonal drama. That's especially true when you're doing epsiodes that kill off main characters and introduce new ones.
One? Last week's was all about the "safety" of Woodbury (or whatever). I don't recall a huge battle, just picking some off from behind the walls. Could be wrong, I'm usually in food coma mode when it's on.

So, the prisoner who let all the walkers into the prison, can we assume he was the one watching Carol do pretend surgery on the female walker a few episodes ago?

Right when you think they are about to safely settle down in the prison for a while, have a baby, and live as one big happy family... BLAM-O!The world has changed. You can't EVER relax.
I said this a page back and I was told I have a Hollywood conception regarding apocalyptic zombie land. Welcome to the club  The prison is a FULL of zombies, no way it couldn't be! I have a friend in prison in ATL, there are over 2600 prisoners incarcerated right now. Figure another 500-1000 support personal and there is no way the 100 or so zombies we've seen them off is even the tip of the iceburg. Of course there are going to be a ####ton of zombies there and because they had to scatter because of all the walkers being let onto the ground coupled with them going into places they were unfamiliar with, there HAS to be areas chuck full of zombies. As for the episode, I thought it was about as solid as I've seen other than maybe the opening episode and the scene at the farm last year.

Add me to the mix of people who thought the episode last night was fantastic.Had a little bit of everything you want in a series and the ending had me going WOW.

Best show on TV right now IMO

Think maybe the writers heard the criticism about last seasons dismally slow pace and stepped it up? See this is how I imagine living in a zombie apocalyptic world, not that down on the farm with Herschel & the girls BS we wasted a season on last year.
Actually, the comics go through some fast paced times followed by some slower times. We are currently in a fast paced time. Lots of things happening, lots of #### going down. But it will slow up later down the road only to speed up again.

I'm not sure. I thought so, but my buddy says he thinks the watcher was out watching carol before Rick ran the prisoner out.

I was thinking there's already a decent chance the governor knows where Darryl is and doesn't want Merle to know. I'm voting governor spy for the peeper.

Are we sure Lori is really dead? Annoying kid supposedly killed annoying mom off screen, we heard a shot. But maybe he just shot the ceiling and left her to turn?

I wouldn't rule it out, I had thought about it too. But my guess is she's dead.
Based on the comics, she is supposed to die at some point anyways. And I think it was when she was delivering or shortly after. Comic nerds feel free to chime in here.

The only person we know is for certain dead is T-dogg, which sucks because him meeting Merl would've been interesting.

Annoying mom maybe shot by her son, but maybe he faked it.

Annoying former abused wife and mother of girl who became a barn zombie is maybe dead, maybe she just lost her bandana and is still running through the prison.

FWIW, I really think Lori is still alive, I don't see Carl actually shooting his mother in the head. We'll either see Rick save her coming up (like the end of next episode, they'll reveal she's still alive but just hanging on) <OR> she'll be back as a zombie and Rick will have to kill her.

About Lori in the comics:

My understanding is that she and her baby are shot w/ one bullet when the governor attacks the prison.

Robert Kirkman confirmed in an online interview after the episode that she's definitely dead.

Lori and the baby are shot by one bullet and killed when the governor attacks the prison. She's running away clutching the baby in her arms and a bullet rips through them both.

Tell that to the little guy who opened the gate and turned on the alarm. My only worthless gripe is that stupid Lori should probably have stayed somewhere more near to Hersh.

I vote for spy also.

Season Three is blowing away season 2.

And I liked season 2.

This season has much more urgnecy, and is way more intense. You can see emotionally how fragile everyone is and becoming each and every passing day.

Great stuff so far.

So we are (supposed to be) emotionally invested in Rick's group. They are dropping like flies. At this rate, Rick is going to be the only one left.

Can they get you to care about some other characters (Andrea, Michonne, some other group) quick enough? Or is this becoming a horror-type movie where hope and triumph is not part of the equation?

Did everyone notice how the baby came out all slimy and gross but then the very next shot he was all clean?

Oh yeah, I picked the first nit this week. :hifive:

It's Obvious!

Carol is hiding out to see if the group will search for her as much as her daughter. She doesn't have a good self esteem you know. She needs this.

Did anyone else notice that when they showed the old c-section scar they didn't show any bush?OK, maybe it was just me.
Tsk tsk. This show is so unrealistic. I don't know why I watch it.

The show is all about Rick and him keeping Carl (and now his baby) alive. If he can keep other people alive that's great but the show is about Rick and his family.

Actually I can't think of anything that jumped out at me as "unrealistic" or poorly written.

Was AMC screwing up for anyone else last night? It was almost as if I had DISH and the satellite kept going out or something. And I don't even have DISH.

I was getting pretty ####### mad.

How are they going to keep this baby alive with no breast milk or formula?
I was thinking the same when Lorri wanted to sacrifice herself.
This seemed to be a big part of the preview for the next episode. Darryl hops on his SS Harley to get formula.
I wonder if this is how the two groups conflict for the first time. Darryl looking for supplies... Merle looking for Darryl...
"Hey Darryl, what're you doin' with that formula, boy?" -Merle*hidesmalebreastfeedingwrapthingy*
