Doubt it. Unless you believe there has been a clear jump the shark moment, I don't see how you can predict a downward trend to a show that has only been climbing. There will be hype and intriguing previews that will hook fans back in after the time off. AMC will release season 3 to Netflix and hook new audience members just before the premiere.

Two different characters. Karen is the mom of the dippy looking asthma kid, but Carl shot a Zack Morris looking kid.

Yup, even if there is a dropoff I doubt it will be anything significant. This show is a ratings monster. I doubt one episode is going to change that. I also don't get the feeling people despise this episode or think the show totally sucks now. The finale was disappointing on some levels but i'm not sensing the type of massive fan backlash that would lead anyone to think the show is in danger from a ratings perspective.

What is worrisome to me from a management standpoint is that they are milking the hell out of this show especially this season. every commercial had something related to the show to hock. The talking dead is just a cheap ratings grab for people still interested in the show right after it airs. The games they are pushing that are based on the show are pumped out in months to capitalize on popularity. It's like they know they have nothing in store coming up and want to make the quick buck while they can. It's like they never really expected it to be this popular.

Interesting... can the show survive without:

They have not made a strong push for Carl or Daryl to be a leader... someone that the others can get behind. I think the show, at this point, could keep moving along at the same pace without Glenn, Carl and Carol. The other two are staples right now.

comic or no comic, this series had so much potential and it seemed it touched on it every so often, but all in all the writers just cannot figure out what exactly they want to do with this. Its frustrating to say the least.

I think Glenn and Maggie are going to be tough to kill off. Kirkman has said several times they represent the last forms of hope for the future. Killing them off would be a pretty big move. I think Daryl's strong response from the fans will keep him around for awhile. I would guess that Rick stays alive as long as Lincoln wants to keep doing the role. I'd expect Michonne to stick around for awhile now. The writers seem to really like Carl and the cast raves about the kid actor so I'm thinking they'll keep him around too as a way of showing how children are growing up and surviving in the new world.

I think the rest are all walker bait although my only hope is Beth gets her some of Rick before she's offed.

cstu, I guess for me I'm not all that interested in who the characters were before. I'm more interested in who they are now. I realize knowing more about their past can help us understand them more in the present but from a storytelling perspective I don't feel a sense of urgency for flashbacks. The one they did this season with Michonne and Andrea added nothing in my opinion.I'm not against them per se, but I don't feel like the show is missing anything without them.

I will give you that if they're going to do flashbacks like the Michonne/Andrea one then it's pointless.

im assuming hes going to form another renegade army for another final showdown and when he dies will be the end of the series. i just dont see them finding a cure and they cant just continue the show with them running around from farm to farm shooting zombies.. even though i would probably still wtach that

Yes she did. I thought the pliers could separate the chain between the cuffs so manipulating the chain would break the chain but leaving a cuff on each wrist.

Not to nitpick, but the Maglite silencer one is actually legit. You can build those at home, instructions are online. All the other ones were funny though. The waxed mustache always bothered me, but hey, he was tryin' to mack on the ladies in the group. Can't fault him for taking the time every morning to roll that badboy out.

It's sad watching that 12 minute deleted scene from between season 1 and 2 and seeing that more than half the characters on it are now dead.

It's also sad seeing how in that scene they actually talked things out in a logical fashion as real people would and didn't just make offscreen ####-eyed plans that don't make sense.
