My reaction after Rick deciding to let them come back to the prison was "these idiots aren't really going to stay on the show are they?"Those two dufus kids were awful.

And they some how survived all this time, including 2 days locked in a washroom with a zombie just outside the door. Said zombie somehow managed to not hear a peep from them the whole time, not even the fap-fap-fap from the occasional handy that he surely received, but can't last a few hours with Rick around.Yeah, I kept thinking to myself "how the hell did these two survive this long?"Those two dufus kids were awful.
I've watched this show from the beginning, but am not enjoying this season at all thus far. Episode 1 was weak, and this one was right down there with my least favorite episodes. It's interesting to see the comment son here from the different camps, but for me the show has gone in a bad direction. It remains on the PVR schedule but the end is looming.
too each their own.. I'm one to believe they are building to something... My
is that they are from another camp, possibly with the Guv, and just got caught in the house and made up a story.. I'm 99% sure we are not done with the blond boy.No, but they need something to bide the time before the Governor comes back.Even this "disease"?In the big picture, yes. Certain characters have been changed/killed and some things in the comic never happened but the important stuff is in the show.To those who have read the comics: is this show still on script?
I agree there.. Maybe that is where they head towards.. A confrontation with the Guv, the Guv dies and we find out someone else was pulling the strings on the Guv this time around and that is who they should truly be worried about. We know we're waiting around for the Governor to the show up. The governor was handled better in the comic book because there was never much of a break in the fighting with him. I would rather he died at the end of last season and they wrote a new antagonist for the group this season.Thought this was the best episode of the season. Really enjoyed the Rick-Carol stuff and I think he made the right call there. It wasn't up to Carol to make that decision and just off a couple of people. That was very Shane/Governor-esque in my opinion.
This season still feels off to me. Can't put my finger on what it is.
I'm with you that they are from the Governor's camp. It's too suspicious that the chick becomes zombie food and the blond guy disappears.I'm one to believe they are building to something... Myis that they are from another camp, possibly with the Guv, and just got caught in the house and made up a story.. I'm 99% sure we are not done with the blond boy.
it didn't show anything of them after they split from Carol and Rick, other than her severed leg with the tat and her corpse being feasted uponmissed the part where the two kids in the house ended up with the gal being zombie food. What happened there?
I need to re-watch it, but it is possible that the other zombie was blondie.Could one of the zombies that was eating her been the guy that was with her? Maybe in the time (2 hours) they were away, he was bit, killed, then turned.
When exactly did Rick put the big picture ahead of his own self interest? He prioritizes both his sense of honor and his family ahead of the group. He brings the wounded kid to the farm, not because he's thinking big picture, but because he doesn't want the kid's death on his conscientious. He risks everyone looking for Sophia because HE lost her.I think many of the things Shane wanted to do were the right thing but like Andrea told him, he had a presentation problem.
That said, I think Shane's biggest flaw was his decision making was self-centered. It revolved entirely around his own best interests. He would've killed everyone in the group if it meant he, Lori and Carl survived. Rick's biggest strength was (until this season) putting the bigger picture ahead of his own self interests. That also was his biggest flaw (and one of the things that makes him such a great character in my opinion); Rick is the superior leader because he's willing to put his own interests behind the needs of others. To quote a famous Vulcan, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one. Shane would never accept that way of thinking.
His son kills an unarmed, surrendering hostage in cold blood and he gets his gun taken away. Carol mercy kills 2 infected people and is dropped like a bag of dirt. The dude still had a rifle in his hands. He *may* have been surrending, he may have been faking. When exactly did Rick put the big picture ahead of his own self interest? It's confusing. When exactly did Rick put the big picture ahead of his own self interest? He prioritizes both his sense of honor and his family ahead of the group. I'm going the other way. We're done with them. Red shirts.I'm with you that they are from the Governor's camp. You always need to replenish your 'Star Trek red shirts'. Always. My reaction after Rick deciding to let them come back to the prison was "these idiots aren't really going to stay on the show are they?"Those two dufus kids were awful.
That should be interesting. Rick is asking them to have a lot of faith in his judgement. And he has no proof that he didn't just kill her. There may even still be some doubts about what happened with Shane, since they didn't get to see how that one went down either.I'm not convinced the rest of the group is going to be happy with Rick about tossing Carol.
Should be an interesting confrontation, considering how Daryl went off at black army guy about the booze and putting the group in jeopardy, then kept him around, and now Rick did the opposite with Carol by letting her go.That should be interesting. They were just a minor plot device. They were pretty helpless, and Rick wanted to protect them by having them wait at the house. Carol pushed to let them help sweep the neighborhood. That illustrated another difference between the two. Rick is taking in people who need protection. Carol wants them to prove their worth.
could be..He's going to tell Tyreese and people will dieWhat stops Carol from driving back to the prison and tells Rick to #### off? Ricks no saint. Whats Rick going to do gun her down?
Probably Tyreese. Carol didn't seem to be afraid of him. He's going to tell Tyreese and people will dieWhat stops Carol from driving back to the prison and tells Rick to #### off? Ricks no saint. Whats Rick going to do gun her down?
Without the first half of that season the huge payoffs that were delivered would've lacked much (if not all) of their dramatic punch. I never had a problem with the first half of Season 2. Still think it was this show's best. The overall story arc was strong, so many great moments (I forgot about Shane sacrificing Otis). Just monumental game changers.Even the first half gets a bad rap since that's how we got to know the characters better. The 2nd half of season 2 was awesome.I thought Season 2 was outstanding. The Shane storyline was terrific. The zombie massacre. Sofia walking out of the barn. Dale getting killed. Rick and Shane's final confrontation. The walkers destroying the farm. Michonne. The prison. So many iconic moments.Season 3 and now season 4 have been great. Season 2 was the only one I was kind of ...meh on...still liked it but was not thrilled with it.
It looked to me like he was raising his rifle and swinging it toward him...Carl doesn't #### around with that ####.The dude still had a rifle in his hands. I had a hard time buying the "We're lucky to hit one in 5 or 6 shots" line. Then how the heck did you live this long when almost everyone else is dead?I need to re-watch it, but it is possible that the other zombie was blondie.Could one of the zombies that was eating her been the guy that was with her? Maybe in the time (2 hours) they were away, he was bit, killed, then turned.
Their story still does not sounds right though - no way being stuck in that house for 2 days by one zombie.

Didn't that happen last week too?
Carol and Rick didnt seem to think it was her, weren't they talking in the house while they were waiting, using terms like "maybe THEY'RE not dead" and "we'll give THEM a few more minutes" or am I misremembering? Are we sure it was the goofy girl's leg? Could it be just another leg with the same tattoo? Perhaps there is some sort of cult nearby where the members all have the same tattoo.
God I hope so. I hate Rotary Clubs. Is it possible that the walker that Tyresse didn't want to let go of was someone he knew before "the change"? A cousin? Neighbor? Fellow Rotarian?

I know you were being facetious, but I didn't think they thought she was dead. I was confused because I assumed it was her being eaten, but then Carol and Rick started talking back at the house and got me all confused.
aralyzed:Didn't Rick just leave some hitchhiker on the side of the road and not pick him up and then later see a bloody trail and his clothes and backpack on the side of the road and to top it all off, he stopped and took the backpack off the road and into his car?Todem said:She went rogue.Flying Spaghetti Monster said:Anyone else seeing things the way Carol kind of did, understand her reasoning - to stop the outbreak at the source (at the time were only those two sick?). Carol did the morally objectionable thing, just only to try and save the group.
To just decide to murder two people and burn them to a crisp without discussion or counsel with the group leader (Rick)......dangerous. That is not humane. And I think the idea of the group (prison) is to try to keep some sense of community and normalcy in a world of utter death.
What Carol did was Governesque IMO.

"Listen Carol maybe there is something if your ear or your husband beat you too much, but this is a gift - understand. The only other way this turns out is with you dead, take your pick."If Carol is going to accept being banished I can understand that, but there is no way I am getting tossed without better weaponry then some knives and I am certainly taking my belongings with me. I am going back to the prison and getting the rest of my stuff and perhaps seeing if someone wants to come along.
the way i saw it in my sleepy haze was the blond dude must have cut her leg off to make her the sacrificial zombie meal, while he escaped...somewhereso girl red shirt has a gun tucked in her waistband but can't get off one shot? even after her leg is chewed off (if that's what happened) and she's hopping/crawling across the front yard, she can't take some wild hail mary shots at the approaching zombies?
I remember seeing Lori with a similar tattoo in season 1 when she and Shane were out making sexy time in the forest. I know that Lori is still alive and that the writers are unlikely to let anything bad happen to her but I'm just saying that lots of people have those tattoos.Officer Pete Malloy said:Are we sure it was the goofy girl's leg? Cut her leg off with what? She was already gimpy anyway...
