Someone please explain the zombies taking a mud bath on the side of the road. I still can't wrap my mind around what is going on there.

What happened to the 7,000 zombies that were huddled up, cruising the streets?

Why were we subjected to hordes of zombies around the fence all season long but when the Guvna decides to show up...none...barely a zombie to mention anywhere in sight?

Have you ever heard a TANK on the roll? It's stupid loud. How about a tank rolling down a paved road? It'd be like a klaxon for any zombies in the area..yet none followed Guvna and his crew to the prison? And no one at the prison heard this thing rumbling?

Wasn't doofus in the tank...a tank operator? Didn't he say that in a previous episode? But dude can't shoot anything but windows?

Back to the mudzombies and the 7,000 zombie horde that mysteriously disappeared or found a building to climb and then rain down upon the unsuspecting...am I the only one that felt like we were watching "The Truman Show" as Jim Carrey was trying to leave the town? All of a sudden cars are in the way, then a forest fire, then a nuclear meltdown. "Let's throw a few thousand zombies on the road." "Wait...we did that already...I got it...zombie mud party!"

Gotta love how no one mentions that radio transmission...ever.

They bust a hole in the fence with a tank...yet, two zombies come creeping up behind Daryl...what the hell? His opponents are coming right at him but somehow the zombies found a back way? Why didn't anyone just follow those two genius zombies to flank the good guys? It's just so we can have the "awesome meat shield" scene. Some lame @zz writer who's played Gears of War too much thought...this would be awesome...ok, how do we make that happen? Who cares...just have the zombies apparate behind Daryl.

The writers just don't give a damn about making any sense whatsoever...so trying to analyze the baby seat is pointless. They don't care about continuity or even trying to have anything be plausible. Again, I think the plot device is alive...I hope it's dead though. No one cares about it...there's not one audience member who's invested in it...just be done with it.
What about the zombie just hanging out behind the clothes line in camp who attacked the girl? You could almost hear the word "action!" as she pulled back the sheet on the line.

I turned the volume on my TV up as high as I could, and I couldn't hear it

If your premise is correct and someone who was soaked with blood took the plot device out of the car seat who is that? The only one I remember being covered with blood was the guvs love interest after she carried her blood soaked kid around. Are there any other blood soaked candidates?
There you go. Gov's love interest so bereft at losing her only child sees another child left out in the middle of nowhere. Grabs the child (leaning over, the blood which had pooled on her chest leaks down into the baby seat) and runs off into the sunset. Almost brings a tear to the eye.

:lmao: Maybe if she reached into the Gov's sword hole, pulled out his heart, and rubbed it all over her arms first.

Essentially wearing HIS heart on HER sleeve.

I'll be here all week.

Can't wait to find out what ninja clan killed the camp in the woods and walked off with their supplies without Tank Idiot and Guvna hearing/seeing them.

seriously. they killed, what, 10-20 people all without firing a shot or someone screaming? let's get a spinoff about those guys...they must be bad mofos.

I would love to see how the gang that kidnapped Glenn in season 1, made out. Their leader was a pretty cool customer.
There is a deleted scene from the first episode of Season Two, in which Rick's crew stops back by the Vatos' nursing home. http://youtu.be/MFOQZ6Sr_dI

The nursing home was attacked by other survivors, who looted the place and executed the elderly people. Zombies later overran the nursing home.
ETA - DiscoStu beat me to it.

put me in the "Judith is alive" camp

we may not find out until the end of the season, but she'll be somewhere safe while they age her...

maybe Tyreese and Carol are taking care of her in their love nest...

So if you guys were in charge, and you had free reign to take the series wherever you wanted, what would you guys do to make the show more watchable, in your opinion? Serious question.
1. Fire every single writer.
No. I meant if you were the writing the story line, Wisenheimer.
Introduce a character named Wisenheimer for comic relief.
:lmao:
I would introduce more babies in the cast, they are so interesting and really drive the audience to serious show discussion.
I would have a half season story arc that explained why gas is plentiful and never goes stale.

1) I don't see how people think Judith is alive. Not only the blood and her missing, but Rick's reaction sealed that.

2) Mud Zombie was a zombie who got caught in a mudslide prone area (per the sign) and was unburied by the little girl.

Back half of season predicitons:

-Judith is alive, but we won't see her until we're 3 episodes deep so we can keep arguing about it

-Carol meets up with Tyrese and kids

-No one discusses the radio broadcast from earlier until we've got 3 episodes left, from which point forward it will be the focal point leading us to a cliffhanger for next year

-Rick starves, refusing to eat foraged food since he got used to the organic farmed food he had been growing

-Lilly (chick who shot the govenor) teams up with Rick and Carl. Finds out her lesbian sister got eaten by a female zombie nonsexually.

-Some stranger fakes being on a mission from the President who is supposedly still in power in DC

-The group that took out the group that tanker and gov almost took out turn to canibalism

-Clear guy meets up with Rick and group

-Farmer's daughter #2 and Daryl will they won't they for a few episodes and eventually ride the baloney pony. Carol and Tyrese and kids walk in on them.

-Glen is on a bus of old and weak people who all die. He is about to die but is saved by Michone at the end. They fail to link up with the others this season.

-Maggie, Dr. Drunk, and Tyrese's sister meet up with Rick's group leading up to the finale.

Don't forget the Governor baby growing inside Lilly. When she realizes she's pregnant, she'll ask Rick to take a coat hanger to the spawn of his enemy. He refuses, leaving Carl to again pick up the slack.

Unfortunately, Carl misses the brain. Zombie Governor Jr eats his way out a few weeks later.

Special Guest Star: Joan Crawford

Those last three episodes did more to establish the Governor character as a good villain than all of season 3. At the end of season 3, I wished they'd just killed him off, now, I was kind of disappointed to see him go.

Not Mud Zombie...the freaking lovefest of zombies taking a mudbath that caused the Guvna to stop and reflect upon his decision to be a decent human being. Zombies making love in the mud can do that to a man.

I think he realized that without a group, protecting the family would be tough

Once he was in a group, he needed to run it to make sure they did what was necessary to survive

I understand the reasoning behind [insert plot device] in order to explain character's sudden shift...but I need someone to explain to me what in the muddy hell were all those zombies doing canoodling in the mud?

They got stuck. What's to explain?

I'm with you. I really don't think there's any more to it than that. It's easy to overthink things with this show.

Oh...so just a random mudpit full of zombies frolicking and blocking the road...cool...carry on.

I can't believe the writers of this show would include something unrealistic and totally illogical like this.

Why is it illogical? If there was a deep mud pit or quick sand roaming zombies over time would get trapped.
How about the absolutely hilarious coincidence of the little girl playing in the exact spot where some walker got buried AND finding the "danger: mud slide area" sign right before she gets attacked by said walker. It's just silly...which is typical.

I wouldn't let my kid play that far away from me at a park. Zombie apocalypse? Stay within screaming distance, honey.

It's no different than a zombie walking into a pit. It's not like these things have GPS to navigate away from natural hazards. I guess they'd stumble upon that mudprone area and thrash around Muddy Mudskipper prolly got knocked down by the moshing, stepped on and pushed further down. The others then got out when the mud dried.

Right, silly. It makes no sense that a zombie of all things, with their intelligence and understanding of danger, would get caught in a mud slide in an area where mud slides happen. She was going to get bit, regardless of how. I thought it was sort of interesting that she took the sign off and that was what was helping keep the zombie buried in the mud.

There are other silly things, but that scene IMHO wasn't one of them. Did you think mud slides and other natural disasters stopped? If they didn't stop then it seems extremely probably that a zombie somewhere got stuck in a mud slide.

Well, I guess you are right, it was silly, it isn't like we have seen the show set a precedence of a zombie stuck in mud getting out and killing someone. :dalewaveshello:

I still say that the mudpit zombies are a defense wall put in place by the camp of people who killed the camp that the gov n crew walked passed and let live. It is a great way to keep people out and any random walkers coming through will just add to your defensive zombie wall line.

SUNDAY NIGHT...something is missing...oh ya...THE WALKING DEAD

Its now a world where we fear the departed

they moan and scream and smell like they farted

they chase after us to eat our flesh and blood so red

and the only way to kill them is a hole thru the head

see ya in Feb

I just started up "The Returned"...I watched the first episode and so far it feels like it'll keep my attention a bit longer.
