Does Gabriel really think "The Group" are bad people or is he trying to get rid of all the people that know his past and that the people in Alexandria seem to value the presence of a preacher while for Rick's group he's just dead weight?

Seems like there isn't a very long life expectancy in a zombie apocalypse for non-sword wielding black people.

But the sword-wielding ones... bad ###.

Well, they said Norman Reedus and Scitt Gimple will be on the season finale of Talking Dead. Seeing as how there are usually 3 guests and that they are announcing Daryl will be there, I am thinking he won't be dying.

My money is on Carol with Abraham second.

Two things:

- What did Deanna's son say to Glenn?

- What kind of grenades cause that kind of damage?
He told him that it was him and his friend who freaked out...not the two who died while on patrol with these guys.

It was a deathbed confession that he and other guy left them to die in order to save themselves.

Basically...a year or more after this has started...we've got a town completely full of cowardly people who leave each other to die.

Thanks. I couldn't make out that particular line either.

Noah's death was really ####### brutal.
ripping the cheek off was
Has there been a more gruesome death of one of the group members? Herschel's was dramatic, but not gruesome.

Maybe when Glenn dies.
That ain't happening
I keep seeing stories about something awful and terrible happening at the seasons end. I really think it is Glenn dying like in the comic book

Eugene stepping up this week. Wanted him to shoot that coward Nicholas.

The walk and talk with Tara set the episode's theme... who are the real cowards? Eugene stepped up when he needed to to help a friend even though he was afraid. The majority of the Alexandrians are the real cowards who talk a big game but are literally only out to save themselves.

RE: Noah.. anyone else knew he was doomed when he got extra air time at the beginning of the episode? Especially when he talked to the old guy and said he wanted to learn how to keep the fence strong because he was in it for the long haul. Death knell.

IDK... I think it is still too soon for them to get that far this season. Only 2 episodes left? I think Glenn lives on into next season, at least.

Gabriel may think the group will out him for what he did to his congregation, so he wants to get a jump on them and tell Deanna that they are really bad people. So if they turn on him he can get her aside and say "see, I told you they were evil and are liars."

He will fit right in that community since he has always been about self preservation.

I could see Gabriel sabotaging Rick's group somehow and causing the death of a major character in the finale.. he's a #####

Rick's face when Carol told him about Pete's abuse. Looked like he was already plotting how he was going to give that guy a slow painful death. Wait til Glenn comes back without Noah and a comatose Tara and tells him they both died because of Deanna's son and his butt buddy. Rick's going to pull out his red handled machete.

well- that, and they ARE really people who have done really bad things.

Thought his time was short as it seems anytime a character starts talking about his future plans :bye:

But wasn't prepared for it to be this episode nor as gruesome as it was

Abraham is already winning friends out on the construction crew. Deanna will want to oust the group at some time in the near future, maybe after they repel an attack by the Wolves, only to find that her own cowardly originals have decided that maybe she's the one they don't really need. After the putsch fails, Rick and Michonne will tie Gabriel to a tree outside the compound with some noisemakers.

But for the right reasons.. I don't recall them doing something "Bad" that wasn't done because others were attacking/doing things to them..

I thought it was going to be this episode, but the way they killed him with Glenn right in front of him was awesome. Two great kills by zombies in this episode.

Overly brutal to compensate for weak storylines.
Apparently this virus gives you super strength.

I was fish hooked once by a guy and he tried with all his might to rip my face open with his bare hands...thankfully he wasn't a zombie...er, walker, roamer, shuffler, rambler, etc.

This feels like the hospital story arc, except with Rick's crew doing the takeover.

That's one of the great things about this season - the group has flipped in a lot of ways. They are the protagonists primarily because we're seeing the story unfold through their eyes. But they've all done pretty despicable things, especially when taken out of contest.

Of course Gabriel conveniently left out the part about how he left his parishoners to die while he locked himself inside his church. I'm sure he'll go back to Den Mom eventually and clue her in to what a Satanic thing he's also done.

I don't think Rick's group has done anything despicable that wasn't in self-defense. If people left them alone, they wouldn't have killed anyone. They aren't going around looting and raping. Probably the worst thing they've done is leave that hitchhiker on the side of the road to his fate. Also that guy they saw on the way to Sanctuary.

I agree. But when taken out of context or conveniently ignoring the context as Gabriel is doing they could easily be portrayed as a group of savages. Gabriel either doesn't want to see the context or is too ignorant to see it. Or both.

It makes you wonder how many people they had in the camp. Because it seems like every time they do a run, they lose 40% of the raiding party.

Noah's death was totally awesome. The gruesomeness needle went way up when they showed his face being torn apart. The only thing I thought about his death was the blood. For the live of me it looked like it first bled red but then they took another bite out of him and it came out looking like 40,000 mile used motor oil.

I thought it was good writing how they had Carol notice Pete's wife/son abuse since she had a history of being abused herself.
