***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (1 Viewer)

How many days do you think you guys would live if you were in The Walking Dead?

I would make it two months.
Less than a day. I would probably get surrounded by zombies while I was outside seeing what was wrong with the satellite dish that caused my TV to go out while watch my favorite show about zombies shufflers.

The show runners comments + the fact that the gun ran out of ammo 17 seconds before the dude shot himself in the head makes me think we saw a hallucination of some sort.
To layer onto it, what if the shot came from someone else and that is why the splatter hit Glenn in the face like it did. Way too much splatter for a gunshot to the head like that, it wasn't a 44 magnum afterall. So the mystery shooter comes in and wipes out all the walkers and voila...Glenn lives.
That's a lot of walkers to get rid of who are all on top of Glenn.

If Glenn's alive, I'm starting to think this is more about him killing Nick and somehow becoming seriously messed up as a result. If Kirkman's comments at Comic-Con can be trusted developing Glenn's character in a completely new way as a result of him doing something he'd never done before (something Gimple references in the article I posted) would line up as something cool to see. But ultimately, it all resides with a believable explanation for how he didn't die based on what we saw. That's on Gimple.
"One helluva explanation" to quote you from yesterday. Seems your expectations have settled a little bit.

Well based on that interview, he's obviously alive. That's pretty stupid.

Just watched this week's episode spoiler-free. I can't believe anybody is arguing that Glenn survives or that that scene was somehow ambiguous. But that's how this thread goes, I

suppose.
You honestly can't believe it?
Well, apparently some people are really stupid, so I guess I can believe it. It just offends my sensibilities is all.

This was a stellar episode, one of the better episodes in the franchise. The fact that some people want to turn this into Scoobey Doo is amazing to me.

I'm starting to think he isn't dead so if that's true I'm trying to figure out how that would be possible.

I still think it's gonna take one helluva explanation to make this work. I'm just not fooling myself into believing I know the only possible ones nor do I believe it's automatically doomed to fail. I really think Gimple has done great work as the showrunner so I am putting my trust in him that he has something planned that will make this all work - no matter how impossible or improbable that seems right now.

I would make it two months.
I'd make it until allergy season, at which point my incessant sniffling, wheezing and sneezing would give me away and get me caught.

but before then, I'd build walls with supports on the damned inside.

I would build walls (also supports on inside) on a cliff somewhere. On either side of my walled town, I'd find trees overhanging the cliff and hang hella wind chimes on them. Then I'd build a platform and scavenge some binoculars, and I'd just watch these stupid zombies tumble to their second death all day instead of watching TV.

Quick thought:

Has anyone other than Glenn talked to Nicolas this season?

Any chance there is a 6th sense thing going on here. Glenn killed him in the season 5 finale and keeps seeing him thinking he is alive?

No idea if this is possible, but the thought just occurred to me that Nick is a hallucination of Glenn's.
Jesus no. Just, no.

I actually thought about this, and the person who did the shooting and then more shooting to distract those walkers (allowing Glenn to live) was N...................

Um, someone

Just another general observation, it didnt make any sense to me why Glenn would fall off the dumpster after Nicholas shot himself, or even why they would have fallen in that direction when the bullet was from the other direction. Just odd for lotsa reasons there.

Falling physics are not this show's forte. See: Van.

true.

why did Glenn fall though?
Nick shoots self, falls forward.. reflex causes Glenn to grab him and they both fall down.. (just try reading that last part without thinking of the game/song) ;)

WRT the cut hand thing, the writers are have made references to the comics to #### with people's heads. Remember in Terminus when one of the Terminates was going to go Babe Ruth on the back of Glenn's head? This could just be another of those things.

Ok genius, how would you trick the audience into thinking Glenn was killed? See, not that easy is it, smart guy?

Which momentum is greater: The bullet hitting your head to the left or the recoil of the gun in your arm to the right? I'm thinking conservation of momentum on the body and gravity just takes over. Probably drops straight down and bounces then slides off the dumpster. Although with the blood splatter it seems the bullet actually exited and took some momentum with it so falling to Nicolas's right like they did is starting to make a lot of sense.

Yes

That was just an odd looking fall...he basically fell forward onto glen.

Just didn't fit or look realistic at all.

should have just kept the walkers in the quarry and come up with a better containment plan.. this dead parade idea turned out badly
It's not like they let them out. The truck fell and let them out before they could even get done their walk through of the plan. That herd was coming out then no matter what.
Exactly and if it wasn't for the containment wall for Ricks plan they would have been smashing against the Alexandria walls instead and then you have 5000 zombies camping on your porch.

No. Recoil neutralized by his LIVE body. Nice try though.

Ok I think we are missing the obvious answer. The Morgan back story episode is to reveal that on the road he meets Glenns long lost twin brother Glinn. After Glenn is killed everyone agrees to never speak of Glenns death again and to accept Glinn as Glenn as if nothing had happened. Then they decide to form a professional drinking team.

More of a soap opera.

Based on his response I am deciding just how amazing I want to make it.

they better not dedicate the entire next episode to "morgan's dilemma".
I think it would be awesome to see what Morgan did from the time of losing his son, to Clear, to ninja Morgan trekking to Va
It would be, but not right after the Glenn cliff hanger. I don't need a full 90-minute episode about how Morgan became Donatello from TMNT.
Just like Tyreese, the writers are really screwing up another chance to have a very beloved character. First they make Morgan an ultra-pacifist who makes idiotic mistakes which is already starting to make people sour on him, and now they put his dedicated episode (which everyone really wanted just a few weeks ago) right in the middle of a big cliffhanger when no one wants to be bothered with a flashback episode that doesn't resolve everything.
not trying to be racist but I think we are at the max quota for the token black guy. We have Morgan & that new lennox lewis dude. give it 2 more episodes and lennox is a goner

Interesting thought. I seem to remember someone saying something to Nicholas in the opener, but maybe you're on to something
he lead them through the abandoned town

No. You must be thinking of the third (triplets) brother - Grinn.

Besides, Glenn is Portuguese.

LOL

I had to check on that.

I was in Portugal a few years ago and was the freakiest thing seeing chinese people talking portugues to me.

A bit of a culture shock to me
