Gilmore said that we'd find out the truth within the first half of the season. There are 5 episodes left. It's rumored that the cast and crew went back to the same place to shoot where the garbage bin was for episode 7.

Gilmore did say definitively that Rick's hand isn't infected and he's not going to chop his hand off.

IIRC, they said back when the Governor was supposed to do it that it would be too much of a strain on the FX budget to continually edit his hand out.....that's assuming that Andrew Lincoln didn't want to Method Act the #### out of it.

Yeah, I read that Lincoln actually campaigned for it. They didn't want to spend the time and money it would take for a lead character.

He said it was basically Morgan's idea, so that could add to the Morgan tension. But from previews, looks like next episode is Morgan's story so we shall see.

The Good:

- close-ups of the walker faces around the dumpster.

- the fact they didn't have Rick call out to Glenn and all you hear on Glenn's side is the sound of walkers feeding (that would have been a bit over the top, but you've seen things like that in tons of shows).

The Bad:

- Killing off that woman with the bad leg. She had a lovely jiggle to her.

- Glenn being killed off

- Darryl and that whole waste of time riding around doing nothing. I know a lot of people love that kind of thing, but to me its a time waster.

The Ugly:

- if they have Glenn come out of that alive, it will be jumping the shark (as several have stated).

eta. I don't think they were Glenn's intestines being ripped out as it looked like it was coming out of Glenn's chest area. Although if that's guy's stomach was over Glenn's chest, there would have been a lot of Glenn exposed. One other thing supporting a "Glenn is alive" scenario is that when they panned out of the close-up shot of Glenn being ripped apart (or not), they showed that there were only a couple of walkers feeding, with the space being too tight. That's why you had all those walkers doing the sleepwalk move (hands in front of them trying to get them some sweet Chinese food.

I noticed none of the zombie-actors went for the boob bite on her...

Any idea what her character name was?

All this talk of Glenn, what was up with Ricks hand?

I must have missed where he hurt it. First time I noticed was when he fought those 3 walkers,but it looked like it was already bandaged then?

I'm assuming he just cut himself with the knife, but I think they want us to think he might have bitten? I mean we saw him stab 3 walkers in the head (which would normally be an easy task for him, but anyone could always make a mistake or get have something happen unexpected), they never showed him accidentally cutting himself with the knife, yet he is bleeding and they won't show the wound. The scene where he was just holding the walky down but not saying anything made me think he was going to say he was bitten, but I doubt he is. Doesn't really make since for him to be cut deeply by his own knife though. It will be interesting to see how he makes out of his current situation.

I thought it was pretty clear he cut his hand on the machete then he pulled it out of the zombie.

ETA: Gilmore said it's possible to be infected that way, but, they really haven't covered that in the show to date. In the comics it is part of the theme and is associated with a character rumored to show up this season. Gilmore said definitively that Rick's cut would be fine though. Maybe just foreshadowing or a nod to the comic readers.

Another argument for Glenn being alive that was just briefly touched on earlier: If you re-watch the scene Nicolas's gun runs out of bullets and you can hear the clicking sound several times as he continues to pull the trigger. Unless it's another mistake by the writers this would point to him shooting himself as a hallucination of Glenn's and Glenn is still on top of the garbage bin.

It would be, but not right after the Glenn cliff hanger. I don't need a full 90-minute episode about how Morgan became Donatello from TMNT.

It's not like they let them out. The truck fell and let them out before they could even get done their walk through of the plan. That herd was coming out then no matter what.

They had plenty of time during the planning stages to bring in more trucks in case that happened.

The parade was the super plan, which included the zombie pinball machine rubber band bounce wall. We have already discussed that it was working and could have worked if not for the wolves or any of a hundred things that distract zombies on the 20 mile march, but the plan itself sucked and there were plenty of other things that they could have set in place instead.

Yes their plan got forced to go early, but still could have had a different plan.

Shouldn't it have only taken him under 10 minutes to get back to Alexandria to check on things? They said they were 5 miles out - I assume from the quarry, which was only a few miles from the town, right?

I guess maybe the alternate route back to town was a little longer.

Yeah, recruiting a super-hot chick for the show only to kill her off in the same episode is just inexcusable. It's not quite as bad as the lack of any explanation for why the gas hasn't gone bad, but still pretty terrible.

I believe it was the amount of zombies pushing on the truck that moved it. But, sure, if you think complaining about the plot makes you feel better, by all means, continue.

This answer sure seems to support the idea that Glenn killed Nick and what we saw onscreen isn't what really happened.

If he is, indeed, alive, how might this change him? This is a character who has never killed a human before.

On the show, the fact that Glenn has never killed a human before has been a very quiet but big part of his character in my mind. If he were alive, how would this change his character? We have a little time to think about that. I shouldn't speculate one way or the other.
