Glen is alive!!!

He was a great one too. Distant 3rd place to no-lips-giant-choppers-guy. I think he's a recurring zombie though.Officer Pete Malloy said:Hmmm...I liked "I used to work with that guy/empty eye socket" zombie. Both were good I guess.Notorious T.R.E. said:BTW - Wide-Open-Rib-Cage-Zombie was the best this week.
Rick's approach continues to be right more often than not. Had the Alexandrians listened to him about PorchDick the leader's hubby would be alive. If the group followed his hospital plan Beth would probably be alive and if Glenn and Michonne had bailed on the weak Alexandrians Glenn wouldn't have had to fake his own death.
He's a cold heartless *******.Not directed at you, but this is one of the stupider things I've ever heard. He was killed on camera. Who cares what the after-show has to say.The Big Guy said:We would not be having this conversation except for the fact that they did not list Glenn as dead on the Talking Dead and this cryptic message from Scott Gimple saying that Glenn will be back in some shape or form later in the seasonIvanKaramazov said:Just watched this week's episode spoiler-free. I can't believe anybody is arguing that Glenn survives or that that scene was somehow ambiguous. But that's how this thread goes, I suppose.
Well, apparently some people are really stupid, so I guess I can believe it. The showrunner specifically said Glenn was going to be seen again. That would seem to be relevant to the discussion. Not directed at you, but this is one of the stupider things I've ever heard. Any idea what her character name was?Notorious T.R.E. said:I noticed none of the zombie-actors went for the boob bite on her...Spike said:kentric said:The Good:
- close-ups of the walker faces around the dumpster.
- the fact they didn't have Rick call out to Glenn and all you hear on Glenn's side is the sound of walkers feeding (that would have been a bit over the top, but you've seen things like that in tons of shows).
The Bad:
- Killing off that woman with the bad leg. She had a lovely jiggle to her.
- Glenn being killed off
- Darryl and that whole waste of time riding around doing nothing. I know a lot of people love that kind of thing, but to me its a time waster.
The Ugly:
- if they have Glenn come out of that alive, it will be jumping the shark (as several have stated).
eta. I don't think they were Glenn's intestines being ripped out as it looked like it was coming out of Glenn's chest area. Although if that's guy's stomach was over Glenn's chest, there would have been a lot of Glenn exposed. One other thing supporting a "Glenn is alive" scenario is that when they panned out of the close-up shot of Glenn being ripped apart (or not), they showed that there were only a couple of walkers feeding, with the space being too tight. That's why you had all those walkers doing the sleepwalk move (hands in front of them trying to get them some sweet Chinese food.![]()
No kidding. They just watched that guy get ate up with a sad look on their faces. Put him out of his misery!Same with the girl with the bad ankle earlier in the episode.Porkchop Express said:Kind of a ##### move not putting that guy that was bit out of his misery as he's being torn apart on the other side of the fence.
Getting slowly ripped to shreds be teeth has to be one of the worst ways to go. Pretty messed up that no one seems to care about putting these people out of their misery. Rick wouldn't hesitate.
No, it actually isn't. The show-runners view doesn't change what was shown on screen. If they turn this into a dream sequence or something similarly stupid, then yes, this is a jumping the shark moment. But I seriously doubt that's the case. The showrunner specifically said Glenn was going to be seen again. I would also like to submit seasons one through five of The Walking Dead as Exhibit B, Your Honor. The showrunner specifically said Glenn was going to be seen again. That would seem to be relevant to the discussion.
If the show were realistic then there's absolutely zero chance he escapes. Luckily for actor Steven Yeun it is not.I don't believe there's any way Glenn could have realistically escaped the situation he was in. But if the showrunner says he will return in some fashion it does leave open the possibility he is not dead. Just my two cents.
They didn't show Glenn being eaten. No, it actually isn't. The show-runners view doesn't change what was shown on screen. If they turn this into a dream sequence or something similarly stupid, then yes, this is a jumping the shark moment. But I seriously doubt that's the case.
Edit: of course flashbacks and the like are fine.
I agree, while I still don't think he made it out alive, I think it was pretty apparent that what we did see on screen was the zombies eating Nick on top of him. They didn't show Glenn being eaten. No, it actually isn't. What if it WAS some sort of day dream sequence that happened, then they immediately showed what really happened, and that Glenn didn't fall into the walkers and die.No, it actually isn't. Countless shows have left little end of show/season cliffhangers like this before, and then during the next show they show was REALLy happened which was ever so slightly different from what we saw at the end of the previous show.
For example in this case, when the camera panned out and you see a hoard of walkers eating at the dumpster, he may have already escaped, but they did not show that part. They may have just skipped from him laying there seeing Nicholas get eaten to a view of the entire area from above, skipping how he got out of it. Could have been the flare, could have been gunfire elsewhere, could have been something else.
Hopefully he survives in a dumb way so the show haters will stop watching. Nah. That isnt even a possibility. You people will NEVER stop watching. Ever.

Not to mention that shows do this not all that uncommonly. Heck, people argued for like 20 pages in here that Lori was still alive because Coral shooting her happened offscreen.

IIRC, they said back when the Governor was supposed to do it that it would be too much of a strain on the FX budget to continually edit his hand out.....that's assuming that Andrew Lincoln didn't want to Method Act the #### out of it.Gilmore said that we'd find out the truth within the first half of the season. There are 5 episodes left. It's rumored that the cast and crew went back to the same place to shoot where the garbage bin was for episode 7.
Gilmore did say definitively that Rick's hand isn't infected and he's not going to chop his hand off.
Chick ordering a double, ftw.I can't believe you goobers are still talking about this whole Glenn Shmen non issue. What we should all be talking about is that bad ### mini series on the plane. HOLY CRAP did you see them serve those drinks?
