I still don't see that as bad at all compared to the rest of the show. How else should he have handled it? He took Judith out of the room and closed the door. Obviously, there was a problem and I think Rick is a bit more important to have downstairs with the #### show that was going on. Would you have rather he stayed upstairs and told Michonne that he has to watch Deanna? Again, Rick handled it exactly the way he should have given the circumstance. When he found Deanna with Judith right before and said that, there weren't zombies all over the house. I see 0 issues with what Rick did there even after his statement, which was also correct. If it bothered you, then there is no chance you'll ever enjoy a full episode.I said, "Rick realized he couldn't leave her alone unsupervised.". The exact quote from Rick's mouth, "From now on, someone needs to be with you.". He then left both of them upstairs, alone.
Not sure what your angle of putting her in a separate room accomplishes, since Deanna got up and went into Judith's room in the first place.

The walkers were breaking down the doors to get in the house and people downstairs were yelling for Rick's help. Yeah I'm not sure what other choices he had at that point. I didn't care much for the episode but that complaint sounds like a case of trying to find something to get upset with.

Only thing that could have saved that episode was Judith getting chomped by Capt Janeway. Get rid of two albatrosses at once.

If it had gas in it and they were shooting at a gas truck, I don't think it would have ended well for them

unless they had a bazooka or rpg, none of the small arms they have is going to penetrate that steel. worst case they do and spring a leak, its not like gas blows up from a bullet. unless you're a hollywood director, then gas blows up at the slightest irritation.

Nah, it had jumped the shark already. This was turning around, running into the shark, apologizing then spending 60 minutes listening to the shark moralize and die a slow and terribly-written death.

Actually there was never really any shark to jump. This show has always been sketchy. Some episodes better than others but it's not like it suffered some huge drop in quality over the years.
Oddly enough..."Happy Days" had been crappy for a few seasons before the shark episode.

OPM this can't be the "jump the shark" episode. The jumping of the shark was a monumentally stupid image in television. One that is memorable and signature.
This episode was so bad the "jump the shark" moment was what?
"Putting the plate in the hall"
"Glenn climbs a tree" episode?

Season 1 was incredible. Maybe I'm too fondly remembering it but the first episode - seeing that kind of cinematic production on TV. So much promise, getting to the CDC, finding out the truth, first characters wrestling with 'do I really want to live in this kind of world'... Granted I never, and still haven't, read the comics. But IMO there's barely enough meat on the 'will humans retain their humanity' angle for even the best written and best acted version of this. But the constant changing of rules and the very mediocre to bad acting by most, with the rinse-and-repeat plot line (wander, find new safety, new place isn't what they hoped, should we stay or take over, oh #### a horde/illness/other group, nowhere is safe!!!!!!, wander) is just too much. But... I'll probably keep watching because #### it I've gotten this far.

OK, keep digging at the Rick shouldn't have helped when Michonne, who didn't even know Deanna went into Judith's room, yelled for help angle. By the way, in case you missed it, there was a bit more going on downstairs before they put the couch in the stairway. Again, show was pretty bad overall, but the smiley doesn't make your criticism any better. I'll state it again, Rick did exactly what he should have and I'd be interested to know what he did wrong and what he should have done. Which isn't the point. You were criticizing something Rick did that, within the context of the script, made perfect sense. Again, this was not a good episode and a very weak mid-season finale. Easily the weakest in series history. But there is often a lot of people trying to find things to get upset worth or be critical of that even in weaker episodes like this aren't strong criticisms at all. In my opinion, your example would be one of those.

They are obviously stupid as hell. Really Sasha? Who's guns are they? so god awful that she doesn't know its a robbery.

If only Sasha, Daryll and Abraham had the experience to get ambushed and drive through it to get away. Or if they had automatic rifles or perhaps some sort of rocket launcher that they could get out of the truck with.

This is the most disappointing aspect. I loved the show and defended it it has gone in the crapper. I think the big cliff hanger is Kneegen, which is a stupid name. Problem seems to be they assume the audience reads comic books and that is supposed to be a major cliffhanger.
I don't know who Negan is, and in context he is just the next guy Rick is going to kill so not thrilling to someone with no comics background. I wouldn't know who Kneegen is except for this thread.

Just another scene where a discussion really wasn't priority at that moment but the writers thought it necessary for some reason.

Sure, not HUGE cliff hangers.. but seems like plenty to think/talk about.
Kirkman specifically said wolves and Neegan's group are 2 separate groups. Said that should become more clear going forward.
The prologue gave a little hint into the Daryl/Abraham stuff, and Kirkman also confirmed that it was Eugene's voice saying "Help" over the radio that Daryl (?) heard, helping align the timelines of the various episodes this season. Basically, everything in this half-season happened in just a few days - from the herd getting out of the quarry through to this final episode, they all overlap in real-time.

- unsanitary - yes, everyone is infected with the zombie virus, but human remains are not exactly good to just wear around
- can dry out, get washed off - they don't last a long time, as was demonstrated in one of the other episodes where they did this, I think the rain washed it off - if you are in the wrong spot when that happens, you're dead
- extremely risky - one wrong sound (Mom, mom...) or action, and you are zombie food - seems like a last resort kind of thing to do

I've done more clock watching this season than the previous five combined. The last few episodes have been very underwhelming. This has been a great show in my opinion for five seasons and the start of this season was really good so I'm not losing interest. But I agree things really need to pick up in the second half.

It may not have been a priority but I think it was important to show that Rick and Mrs. PorchDick knew something was up but Carl didn't wanna put Ron in danger like that. Rick probably would've offed him if he knew the truth. I thought last night's episode was a pretty good one for Carl all things considered.

I'm guessing with the "Mom, Mom" from the kid, that ####'s about to go down with that group.
In the comics, that scene is where Jessie and Ron get eaten, and Carl loses his eye... I'm betting the "Mom, Mom" will at least be the cause of Sam and Jessie being eaten.
