The new shtick of telling all the complainers they should stop watching the show and then proceeding to list out an outline of your own complaints is awesome.
You no read so good
Really?

I would just find something better to do than watch a show I hate just so I can try and sound funny in a thread full of people I have never met.
I will list the things I didn't like

Show is great. This episode sucked badly by comparison.

That's enough complaints.

Jesus this is a dumb argument. So what if Rick left Judith upstairs. They had a rather urgent situation brewing downstairs. Besides, Deanna was still alive at the time, and the chances she would die and turn inside of a couple minutes was rather non-existent. That and even if she did, she wouldnt open the door or some other room to get at Judith, unless walkers remember how to use door knobs now.

The scene were Deanna was over the crib was just for a quick shock to the audience.

The place was getting overrun, pretty sure the 1 in a trillion chance a walker-Deanna would get Judith in that situation was worth NOT walking around with Judith while trying to fend of hundreds of walkers and actually thinking about a plan.

Seems like the writers gave ya the scare they were goin for. Score one for the writers. Writers 1, haters 10000000000
In that situation you put a hatchet through Deanna's head before running downstairs.
This guy gets it.

I woulda put a hatchet through her face way the heck before that

Yeah, seems like a no brainer.
Exploding in a fuel truck seems like a no brainer?
And how would the tanker explode, exactly.
Tanker truck barreling down the road at high speed, crashing through obstacles while getting shot at.

How could they NOT get through unharmed. I guess you are right. Once I thought about how safe it would be for a tanker truck to speed though obstacles and gunfire I realized I agree with you. It would never explode.

Question for all, both people that enjoy the show and the trolls.

Is it even remotely possible for JDM and the Negan character to come anywhere close to matching the hype of that character? What, maybe 1 in a million?

With how great (so I have heard) of a character Negan is in the comics, how hyped he is for being the biggest badass of all time, the most ruthless leader ever, how he is known for the F word constantly, how his character has been teased and talked about incessantly on The Talking Dead, and how there was so much hype in casting that character..................I don't think it is even possible. Not to mention some of his best qualities really can't be translated to network TV.

The only time I can remember so much hype for a character that met (and very much exceeded) expectations was Ledger's joker.

:lmao:

It doesn't happen like they portray in the movies.

So are you saying they would just drive through and keep on goin? Like, no problem?

I guess I can simply see it not going so easy driving really fast in a vehicle not really meant for good handling while getting shot at from several different angles in a vehicle that PROBABLY isn't bullet proof. Shot through the doors, windows, or a bullet to the tire pretty much ends the dream. That and it is a gas tanker truck which doesnt make it any safer than if it wasn't.

My guess is they crash, gas goes everywhere, and they either explode or one of the nice motorcycle fellas lights em up.

I've said many times that these shows need to end after 5 or 6 seasons. I was wondering if they could keep the show going this season and it's not holding my interest much. I feel like the story is spread out over too many angles now. Even T-Dog was getting more screen time than these guys.

These are the people who crashed a car because of a zombie in the road and flipped a church bus with no one around so you're probably right that they shouldn't be trying to drive through some motorcycles.

Negan is a rather generic bad guy in the comic. Really don't get the hype.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm losing interest. Just a bit. Was NOT a good mid-season finale. Not on par with previous seasons, that is for sure. They really need to come back in February and pick it up.....A LOT.
I've done more clock watching this season than the previous five combined. The last few episodes have been very underwhelming. This has been a great show in my opinion for five seasons and the start of this season was really good so I'm not losing interest. But I agree things really need to pick up in the second half.
I'm guessing with the "Mom, Mom" from the kid, that ####'s about to go down with that group.

In the comics, that scene is where Jessie and Ron get eaten, and Carl loses his eye... I'm betting the "Mom, Mom" will at least be the cause of Sam and Jessie being eaten.
Really hoping they keep mom around.....

Your original premise was "Exploding in a fuel truck seems like a no brainer?" which isn't going to happen. Bullets aren't traveling through the engine compartment so ducking down seems like a good idea. And I don't remember the exact size of the truck but I'd venture to guess running over a motorcycle would be little more than a speed bump. Recall that video of the Range Rover in NY running over the motorcycle? It would be like that.

Meh.....overall weak for a mid-season "finale". Wasn't the worst episode by any stretch, but certainly disappointing for being the "finale".

No clue what all the complaining about Rick and the baby are about...he took her out of the room and shut the door...Zombies en masse might push through a door, but they never OPEN a door.

Carl was fine, or at least, not as sucky.

The Carol/Morgan thing is silly...but everything about Morgan is silly right now.

Where exactly are the going with the wolves? NOTHING about the wolves makes any sense. They need a flashback episode or something to make this more clear.

I fully understand why the zombie guts maneuver wouldn't be used often, but that was the perfect spot to try to use it...fully expect something to go wrong and the little boy to get eaten.

I can't help but wonder why virtually every new group the come across is out to steal and kill them. WOuld think that humans would join together and work together more often than not. There'd be marauders and murderers galore...but not EVERY group would be out to steal everything you have and kill you.

Lots of small complaints, but overall still entertaining. I'll be tuning in come February.

I think you should try it out using the exact equipment involved and report back. Maybe youtube it for us.

Finally saw the finale last night. Weakest season/mid-season finale in the series, imo.

Lots of head scratching moments in this one.

Didn't mind the ants scene or the record player, really. Although as someone said, how does that kid even have a record player and that record up in his room?

Ants/walkers overrunning the town and the "tip toe through the tulips" I guess closes the episode with them literally tip toeing through the "two lips" (hundreds of lips/teeth) of the walkers. Lots of cheese.

How can the baby remain quiet but the Sam kid can't get three feet without calling for mom? I guess they'll all die in February.

Carol vs. Morgan is boring because Morgan's character makes no sense. Ok, you had your little epiphany that 'all life is precious' but that doesn't mean you have to be a total ####ing moron and get people killed. Even Hershel and Dale had no problem killing when necessary.
I was thinking something along the same lines when I watched this last night. Morgan has somehow become more annoying than Dale was. That's saying something.

It sucks that they're ruining that character because he's a pretty decent actor imo.

One thing to remember.. Half way through Season two a lot of us were HATING part of the story line..

Oh, where's Sophia.. we need to find her.. she can't possibly be dead :wall:

But now many are willing to look pass how much people hated the lead up as the payoff was

I watch both The Walking Dead and ZNation because I enjoy the genre (anything apocalyptic). Z Nation is corny, but the first 15 minutes of their latest episode (from last Friday) was as good as anything I have seen from TWD, and might have even been better.

Oh, and as a big fan of the show, yes this WAS a pretty terrible episode.

I will list the things I didn't like, partially cause I am bored at work, and also I wanna live the life of a hater for a few minutes:

1- When the tower fell, why on Earth was it so hard for people to get somewhere? It's like they ran around in circles trying to die. Or did walkers somehow get in from behind everyone from another hole?

2- Little Sam needs to die. Someone please kill him. And Ron. Eat them please. I want to be a guest zombie just so I can go bite them and end it.

3- I have a knife and am holding a worthless chubbykins. I want your guns. Ok thanks. Now that I have your guns and I am a homicidal maniac who has killed 100s of people, I am going to let you all live and take a hostage because walkers respond to hostages.

4- Deanna is the worst character ever, but at least she went out with a bang and a super ugly silent scream face.

Show is great. This episode sucked badly by comparison.

That's enough complaints. I can only sound like a loser for so long.
I think you underestimate yourself.

How can the baby remain quiet but the Sam kid can't get three feet without calling for mom? I guess they'll all die in February.
Judith is more of a man than Sam will ever be. Good thing Mrs. Porchdick is hot. Her two kids may be the most annoying humans left on the planet.

I didn't have a problem with Morgan and Carol facing off at some point. They've been building to that for awhile now and it makes sense that it would happen at some point. Happening then in the midst of a walker invasion, however, is what I didn't agree with. Makes no sense for Carol to make that play at that time. Carol's been so smart for so long and the smart move was to work with Morgan to get through everything going on and then deal with her issues with him later - possibly when his guard has come down.

Having her confront Morgan and the Wolf in the midst of all that felt like a forced way to get us to a certain point (i.e. Wolf escapes with lesbian doc nobody cares about). It felt contrived and not a natural extension of the story line.

I don't mind the fight between Carol and Morgan. But c'mon. Morgan could have easily subdued her. it wouldn't even be a fight.

if they try to make Negan the guy who was talking in that clip, i might be out. that has to be one of negan's lackeys, no way is that the character from the comic book
This may have been answered, but I started from 2 page back from here just trying to catch up to the thread. Negan's being played by that guy Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He played the comedian in Watchman, comes off as a pretty big dude and can look the part I think.

Agreed, Morgan would take her pretty easily. She's gotten amazing at killing zombies and subterfuge, but hand to hand combat with men is probably still not Carol's forte. As packersfan said, that whole thing was a means to an end to free the wolf and of course get him some guns since it would have been suicide to go outside with only a knife. Just sucks that they went through all that and even had to make Eugene a lock pick in the exact right place to hand the wolf some guns. I still don't quite get the garage to the wolf. That lock sure looked like a normal dead bolt, which means someone on the inside could easily get out that way. There isn't a single part of that whole scene that I enjoyed.

here's what would happen in real life. they would blast through the bikers and kill a couple as the truck crushed them, and disable most if not all of the other motorcycles. Even if the knuckleheads with guns managed to get off a few shots, even if they shot out a tire, nothing would explode and the truck would keep on going. Meanwhile, sasha and abe could arm up and be ready for any kind of counter attack from the 1 or 2 motorcycle morons that managed to get their broken bikes up and running. Pretty sure they could handle a couple dudes.

It's funny to me that so many in this thread complain about decisions made by people on the show as if they'd somehow make better decisions or know what is right/wrong to do. Especially considering I'm sure 99% of you dorks would be dead in the first 24 hours of the apocalypse when there was no one replying to your threads in the FFA asking how to survive.

"Being gnawed on by my zombie wife. Will answer any questions for the next hour."

"Pole: Who would win. You with a wiffle ball bat or zombie with deadly mouth bites?"

and of course...

"There are zombies in my house. Thanks Obama."

OPM bites it first.

I meant there were several moments that were questionable at best, but I don't understand the plan of strapping a baby covered in rancid zombie guts to Carl and expecting her to not whimper or cry, which in turn would have exposed them all. Why not leave the little ones with Carl locked in the basement or somewhere else, you all go get the guns and let the battle begin?

RPG TIME!

I hate you all. as I watched the scene with Carl & PDJ fighting in the garage, and Rick comes to the door calling out to Carl, all I heard was, "Coral? CORAL!!!?

the show is ruined.

No here's what would have really happened. The like twenty dudes each with a bike and automatic weapons would have easily gotten out of the way of a truck that probably won't break 60MPH and cant accelerate for anything due to the fact it weighs more than a few tons. They then would have mowed Daryl, Abe and Sasha down in the cab in a hail of gunfire.

Rick losing Sophia in the first place was absurd. He couldn't juke one walking zombie?

Ridiculous

Let's not get carried away here. As long as that preacher guy is on the show, it's really just a contest for second-worst.

All the stuff with Shane and Otis at the school ending with Shane sacrificing Otis was among the best stuff this show has ever done. All of that was during the time people were whining about the search for Sofia. Daryl's dream episode was pretty damn good too. Season 2 was outstanding from start to finish in my opinion.

Same thing I was saying about the conversation between Ron and his Mom. Weird timing for the writers to put that there with them holding a couch against a horde.
