Perfect way to end the whole series there.TLEF316 said:If I'm Negan at this point, I'm cutting my losses and wiping their whole crew out (especially when I get back to the sanctuary and find out Daryl is gone and killed someone on the way out). The security risk Alexandria presents and the resources he needs to spend managing them far outweighs any resources they're providing (especially with their numbers dwindling and the ever-decreasing amount of supplies to be found in the surrounding area)
He's got seemingly hundreds of people working directly for him (plus several other communities working on his behalf without any hiccups) and he's seriously going to allow a group that tried to kill him twice in a day to stay alive? Sorry, not buying that all. Just turn Alexandria into an outpost, put someone you trust in charge and let them scavenge the surrounding area instead.
This is post-apocalyptic warlord 101 stuff.
Perfect way to end the whole series there.
Would end any chance for the coming war. That would be it. No one wants that. It's coming. They're clearly not ready to do that (the thing is still a cash cow I'm sure) but I would LOVE it if they ended the season on a really negative note like that. Would be awesome.
It almost seems like Neegan wants Rick and his crew to fight back.Happy Negan finally killed a few Alexandrians. He's still a bit hard to buy as this great villain for me since he seems to let a lot go. Apparently if you try and kill Negan and fail you are not going to be punished in any real way. It looks like all of the Alexandrians other than Aaron and maybe Heath will be killed during the inevitable war. I'm assuming not a single member of Rick's pre-Alexandria group will be killed.
That was laughably bad. I thought the rest of the episode was decent. That ending was so cheesy with the music and showing each one of their faces.
I think Carol will change her mind and come around when she hears Glenn and Abraham were murdered by the leader of the Saviors. So far she has no dog in the fight but she doesn't know about the Lucille lineup, or that Maggie's preggo with Glenn's baby.Carol has moved into that "annoying" character now for me.. . Assuming they are building it up to her becoming the Kings love and she'll turn back to the Carol we all like...
But until then I could do with less of seeing the same thing each week from her. "Just leave me alone" ... fine![]()
As a gesture to Rick to show he can be "reasonable" ...why did Negan let Coral stay at Alexandria?
Agreed that something will trigger the Carol we've come to like to return..I think Carol will change her mind and come around when she hears Glenn and Abraham were murdered by the leader of the Saviors. I thought it was him tooRE: The guy in the boots spying on Rick and Alexandria. I think it might be the same guy from the kingdom who talked to Carol and Morgan about getting Ezekiel to fight the Saviors. They showed him in that small hidden trailer for no reason except his meltdown. He feels alone in his quest to fight back. Maybe while he was out he saw Rick and Aaron at the lake and followed the truck to Alexandria. Now he wonders if they are a group he can join to fight. Rick's group right now are in the same mindset as him. I don't remember Carol or Morgan mentioned Alexandria to anyone, so he may not know whether Alexandria is also serving the saviors or an outpost for them.
yep- they need the connection to the waterfront women.. and their gunsMaybe Boot guy is actually a Boot lady from the lady camp![]()
I think it's the neighbor from Home Improvement. Thought it was particularly cheesy that Negan looked at the casing from the gun......cmon man!And of course the writers have left one thing for us to wonder about.. Who is "Boots"??
A loner looking for a community to join?
A spy for Negan?
A spy for another community who is looking to fight Negan?
or is he from a completely different group who will become yet another antagonist of the main group?
Could be right. The one who tried to befriend Tara. Good way to tie in the women with guns.Maybe Boot guy is actually a Boot lady from the lady camp![]()
those looked like some big boots... but this would make a certain amount of sense.Could be right. The one who tried to befriend Tara. Good way to tie in the women with guns.Maybe Boot guy is actually a Boot lady from the lady camp![]()
maybe he poisoned the food and used it as a decoy away from his personal stash?Seemed plausible that the 'even when you win, you lose' note was referring to some sort of booby trap boot wearer had set up for anyone who took the supplies away. I half expected it to blow up after being moved to Negan's truck, creating a big mess for Alexandria to explain.
Redirect??Where are all the hordes now? Are they all dead dead? Wouldn't they be roaming around attracted by the Neegan and his 5k followers?
lol. amazing it's taken this long to bring that up.Maybe Rosita shoulda had mullet make a few bullets. She probably didn't realize Negan was a Jedi with his light saber.
It's because nothing on this show makes sense so everyone just rolls with it.lol. amazing it's taken this long to bring that up.
I really hope it's someone else. We already know that Jesus is going to introduce Rick and the Alexandrians to Ezekiel and the Kingdom in the second half of this season. If this really is body armor dude (Richard I think is his name) from the Kingdom spying on Rick and co. then it's just wasted screentime, because then this is the exchange: he goes back to the kingdom and tells Ezekiel "hey I found a group of people that are giving to the Saviors, maybe they are pissed like us and can join us to fight" and Ezekiel just goes "yeah, I met them yesterday, where the hell have you been, crying in that stupid camper of yours again?"RE: The guy in the boots spying on Rick and Alexandria. Big target?Negan's gal can shoot the girl on the porch no problem but Rosita...
or?Boots guy is not someone we have seen on the show yet.
My guess it is either just some crazy looney dude.
My wife who has probably watched a total of 15 mins of this show happened to sit down and watch that part. At that moment I actually felt embarrassed that I watch this show every week. That was laughably bad. I thought the rest of the episode was decent.
Just in case you haven't suspended disbelief so far, pretty sure holding onto a bat as a bullet hits it is gonna hurt your wrist just a tad.Maybe Rosita shoulda had mullet make a few bullets. She probably didn't realize Negan was a Jedi with his light saber.
I disagree, homeboy.Just in case you haven't suspended disbelief so far, pretty sure holding onto a bat as a bullet hits it is gonna hurt your wrist just a tad.
They drug you along half a season with filler episodes that are "easily the weakest to date" and you're good with that but upset that everyone in the thread is complaining?I really enjoyed the episode and am finally fired up about the show again but seems like everybody here hated it so might be time to check out of this thread for the remainder of the season if everybody's just gonna #### on the show. Bummer. Didn't think the episode was sensational and the season is still easily the weakest to date but did think it got things back on track and I am finally invested again mainly because I want the group together and focused on confronting Negan. And I've grown tired of all the tangent storylines and it would appear all of that is going to come to an end now.
