I caught a few minutes of Watch What Happens Live after the finale, and man did Nina look PISSED.
Gail spoke? Couldn't tell with her pregnant rack hanging out on the table. Sheesh. That baby has some sucking to do.Gail was firmly on the Nick side as well..
Seemed like Tom was against everyone else yet Nick still won. Odd.
Two of the most notorious "mad scientists" in Top Chef history face-off once again, Top Chef All Stars winner Richard Blais and competitor celebrity chef Marcel Vigneron. First, Marcel challenges Richard to make a dessert featuring both a hot and cold component while Richard chooses to challenge Marcel to make one of his specialties, a burger. And for their Duel that will decide who moves on to the finale, Richard and Marcel must concoct a three-course meal specifically designed to entice each of the judges' senses. Although Richard won the title when they competed against one another on Top Chef All Stars, never underestimate the power of revenge!
I'm not sure I dig this format.New series starts tonight: Top Chef Duels.
Episode 1 is Richard Blais vs. Marcel

They're ripping of Ilan's show on Esquire where two chefs face off each week in a much more raucous and entertaining setting.I'm not sure I dig this format.New series starts tonight: Top Chef Duels.

It would be cool if they did it tournament style and started with 16 chefs to leave one man/woman standing but there's no need to watch this on weeks where I'm not interested in the participants.

If anyone find these Top Chef duels entertaining, I'd urge you to find Knife Fight on Esquire (look On-Demand if you have to). Drunk well known chefs, getting heckled while cooking really interesting food.Good call. They're ripping of Ilan's show on Esquire where two chefs face off each week in a much more raucous and entertaining setting.I'm not sure I dig this format.New series starts tonight: Top Chef Duels.

Terrible.
Just give us another regular season of Top Chef please.
I'm in for this. And I expect I'll be disappointedI'm in for this. And doubt I'll be disappointed.
I hope so. Can't stand him. Blaise should make quick work of him.Uber doosh Marcel is going down tonight
What if a black guy wins on a future episode?I'm in for this. And doubt I'll be disappointed.
Shirley was on last season, with Nick winning. It does seem like a long time ago though.culdeus said:I have next to no memory of Shirley. And that was what? two season ago? All I really remember about brooke is she seemed like she'd be down for whatever.
turns out I'm enjoying this show. anyone watching? I'm digging the format.I'm in for this. And I expect I'll be disappointedI'm in for this. And doubt I'll be disappointed.
Turns out I'm not enjoying. I stopped DVRing but will tune in if I remember it's on. I don't know, it just feels like it's lacking something. Maybe the chefs, maybe I'm sick of seeing the usual faces.turns out I'm enjoying this show. anyone watching? I'm digging the format.I'm in for this. And I expect I'll be disappointedI'm in for this. Watched parts of 2 and then quit. Next to no interest in the real season. Might catch the last 2 or 3 episodes and any that aren't catering for the main challenge later, maybe.depends on the chefs involved. I have liked some episodes other not so much
for the most part though this show is overplayed
I've pretty much always hated him. Great cook but such a dooshIn as always. Although I'm also starting to hate blais.
I've been impressed with Mei Lin, but I'm an episode behind. That Aaron dude making a run at Ilan and Marcel as biggest a-holes in Top Chef history.
Nobody jumping off the page talent wise yet.
Yeah, Gregory has been lights-out.The black dude is killing it and is easily the frontrunner right now.
Must be a race/sexuality thing. Deadly combo I guess.Subtle race thing that we struggle to quantify?
Gregory is dominating yet no one wants to team with him. And he wins again.
For most people, sure...for you, probably not.Any compelling reason to check this season out?
Katsuji knew she was going down in flames when she made her crepes the day before. And then the mousse debacle just made a bad dish worse. It sounded like Katie's dish at least got some points for being decent. And it seemed like the lot of the miscommunication between the front and back of the house was Keri Ann's fault, even though Katie's greasy spoon-caliber expediting system didn't help.Surprised Katie didn't go home last night. They must've really hated Keri Ann's dish...it did seem pretty blah for restaurant wars, even if it was executed correctly.
