I really can't. Won't be home Saturday night. Sorry. I could do some other switching possibly if you find someone to do Sat, I could take their Tues or Wed. But then I'm out Fri through next week. BTW - was back in SD last week and wanted to get away to see you or Gunz or MT or someone, but they had social events scheduled every freaking night. But that city of yours is just fantastic. I don't see how everyone doesn't want to live there, minus the whole Cali government issues.

Seriously, the 1.3 isn't the worst pick in this format......but it wouldn't have been my first choice. I would have preferred the middle of the pack.....like 6-8.

FWIW, I think we should get the rest of the leagues set up and links sent to help prevent confusion like this in the future.
If nobody elects to switch with you, I'd be happy to step in as a substitute drafter. You could set your own priorities or even send me your own cheatsheets and preferances....still your team...I've already drafted my team

well, by the time the date was set I was out of town without internet accessI should have sent a precautionary pm letting you know I wouldn't be back until late today, but I picked your league because you were running it and you seem like a good dude, not because of the draft date that was not yet assigned. no.we just finished our draft.was supposed to start at 7pm Eastern...finished at 11:20pm Eastern.

Usually not. Most get their picks in within a minute or two and the draft finishes around three hours, give or take. If the draft starts to drag, or one or two owners are taking an unreasonably long time, Carlton is around to drop the hammer so we don't have a five-six hour draft.

I can't believe you guys didn't just switch us. All I needed was PM and I was there.
we had no idea postradamus wasn't going to show up until we got to his pick in round 1 and he was nowhere to be found. then Clayton posted a thread in the shark pool to find an immediate replacement. Dreamer responded that he was available, Clayton sent him the info, he showed up and made one pick (Steven Jackson) then disappeared. When the 2nd round pick came up, we sat and waited for what seemed like 30 minutes....not really sure what the hell was going on while I'm sure Clayton was working behind the scenes trying to get it sorted out. If you were around at that point, it would have been awesome to have you join in. But, it wasn't like any of us had any clue this was going to happen ahead of time...and it's always stressful trying to find a replacement after the draft has started while everyone else is sitting there just waiting.

Oooof very sorry guys. Sounds painful and I've been in that spot waiting on someone before, would not wish it upon anyone. I had no intention on mucking anything up. #### me.

I can switch with Chaos Commish...sort of.
I'm currently Drafting in League 11, but my only other option is League 12.
If we can find a 3rd Party, I'm willing to execute a 3-way switch:
Chaos Commish moves from League 9 to League 11
Someone from League 12 moves to League 9
I move from League 11 to League 12.

I'm just whining, Aaron. No worries. Hopefully someone checks in tomorrow or the next day willing to switch. If not, oh well. Thanks for trying Nittany. Never know how this might work out, but I'd probably just take the Tuesday spot if someone drafting then could take a Saturday spot. I can draft Monday but it's a travel day so a little hectic. Tuesday is much better.

Just to set the record straight, I was the replacement and I was logged in the whole time and ready to draft. Clayton got impatient and locked me out 5 minutes after I logged on, I just needed to check the scoring rules. But I was ready to pick just as SJax was given to my team, I actually clicked to pick and it gave me Jackson instead of my guy. I remained logged on not knowing what happened until it was my 2nd pick, but Clayton changed the password. I was actually a little annoyed, he asked me to help and then couldn't wait 5 freaking minutes for me to get my ish together. 5 minutes.

this was what everyone in the draft room thought happened. if it happened differently, then we had no idea.did you ever join the live draft room? did you pick Steven Jackson?
Were these kind of problems prevalent last year? Just curious.

I never even got into the draft room. I logged on, changed my password, then went to read the scoring rules. 5 minutes later (5) I went to make my pick and it gave me SJax. I tried to select someone else not SJax. Then I waited around for my 2nd round pick but Carlton changed the password and locked me out. But I was logged into the site, WTF? Why not wait a couple of minutes?
when I piece together the events, here is what I see:at 6:07pm, you posted saying you could help.at 6:09pm, Clayton posted that he had sent you the password and details.at 6:19pm, the Steven Jackson pick was posted.Then, in round 2, we were waiting for almost 20 minutes while the pick was on the clock. I guess the Shark Pool thread was reopened and Multiple Scores got in.I think what happened is we all saw you log onto the site, and we kept waiting for you to make a pick. We definitely waited for at least 5 minutes but everyone was pretty anxious at that point. Since it said you were online, we also thought you were in the draft chat room but you never said anything. When you didn't respond to any of us and then logged out, we all got the impression you had just left and/or couldn't figure it out.I'm guessing the lack of any response and the fact you logged off made Clayton think you had bailed so he made the Jackson pick, changed the password, and bumped the thread for a new replacement. If you had joined the chat room and let us know you were reading the rules or something, we would have been glad to wait. Just seemed like the pressure of trying to keep things moving with not being able to communicate with you easily made things worse here.Dreamer said:

No you didn't. It was 5 minutes. I was on the MFL site the whole time. Until the 2nd pick was made by someone else. You should have waited more than 5 minutes for me. 6 would have done it. Kick Carlton in the schnarts for making everyone wait 30 minutes in the 2nd.
Just as for Chaos Commish...I can draft for you with your lists/instructions if nobody else will switch with you.Obviously...I can't cover both of y'all. But I can help at least one of you. If it's a traveling thing where either would have acess to cell phone, I'd also be willing to communicate in draft to help you get your preferanced team as much as possible.Couch Potato said:
