It appears this is an annual delimma, that is drafting any Lions. I do like Roy Williams and I think Kitna has got value as a #2 fantasy QB with the addition of Martz.

However those of us and "you know who you are" have been burned time and time again by setting false hope in potential productive Detroit players.

Convince me this will be the year a Motown product will lead me to a Superbowl.

I think Roy Will is on the fringe of being a top 5 WR this year. He has big time talent as evidenced by his rookie season and that was with Joey throwing to him. Kitna loves his #1 WR and in this case they don't have a much of a #2 (Bradford) so I think Roy Will is in for a big season. I know the O-Line isn't very good, but Roy is a premiere talent, in my estimation, and will finish towards the top 5 WRs in terms of his fantasy numbers.Just my .02

:goodposting: I love Roy as a #1 in #2's clothing.

Considering how cheap anyone not named Kevin Jones and Roy Williams are, why not? Bradford would have some value as a clear cut #2, and Jon Kitna is being drafted outside the top 15 QBs. Pollard is basically an afterthought.

Any Lions player will be super cheap and carry no risk at their ADP with some solid upside.

I'll add my .02 so we've got .04 now. I just hope Williams isn't double and triple teamed all game... :X

I grabbed Kitna late in a league where we start 2 QBs. I don't expect him to be great, but I do expect him to throw for a lot of yards in the second half after the Lions defense has put them behind.

He was double teamed last year and the year before and still put up 8 TD's in each of those seasons. I think 1000+ yds and 10TD's is very possible.

Had Williams the last 2 years.

Only concern IMO is the misc. nagging injuries (mostly from the double teams and the dificult catches he makes routinely).

He isn't the fastest (although fast) so he really doesnt run away from people that often. But he's a beast if they start forcing it to him - catches about everything. Again, only thing that concerns me is the pounding he takes.

Having said that - I like what I've seen out of the running game in Detroit and teaching a QB to throw hasn't been a problem for Martz anywhere he has been. Keeping them healthy has been. Hence, injury concern for 106 year old Jon Kitna too. Forget who his back-up is, but I remember they signed him this year too. Probably going to need him.

Personally, if ST are considered part of a Defensive Team, I think their Defense could be worth a late flyer.

Roy Wms is a high risk/reward kinda guy.

Kitna is one of those backup types you take when there are very few QB starters left ie you waited too long to get a backup QB. He might be bearable for that bye week, but I'd hate to find out.

Hear, hear.I got Bradford in the 12th and I've seen him go as low as 16th.How can you go wrong?

Not sure why everyone is so high on the Lions this year. I know it is only preseason, but the Lions have scored a grand total of 39 points in three games. The third game where the starters are suppose to be in for three quarters, the team had THREE FRIGGIN points. I know Mad Martz is in Detroit, but to me everyone is having trouble picking up the offence, especially Kevin Jones. I'm staying away from all Detroit players until they show some kind of consistentcy!
