Otis fad diet thread — yoga, fasting, and kevzilla walking on🚶‍♂️ (6 Viewers)

I weighed myself this morning just to get a final January count.  214.9  - down 22.6 lbs total.

I'm doing a couple of things (intentionally) that I would not normally do:

- No exercise - I think I'm going to go at least 2 more weeks and then reevaluate

- I'm not logging my food or counting calories - I used MFP in the past and it was great but I decided I almost used it as a crutch and I could never develop the good habits that would make MFP unnecessary.  So, I've decide to just muddle through this on my own which I think will be more sustainable long term - for me at least
Obviously this latest plan is working for you.  Impressive weight loss.

I just got the Fitbit Flex 2 and I'm digging it so far.  I want something low profile without a screen and the Flex is filling that need.  It even detects when you're exercising and knows what you're doing (except lifting).  Anyway, big fan so far.
Just got my Withings Steele HR.

You're like the David Carradine of weight loss. " To be one with yourself is a power within you"

233.0 - Down 16.6

Last week was a hiccup (net up 0.2) but back on the downward trend again, down 1lb so far this week. Hitting flemings steakhouse with some friends tonight for dinner/drinks before Garth Brooks concert (3rd row)... going to try to stick to light beer and a reasonable dinner (filet and steamed veggies + baked potato) and see how it goes.

After the superbowl it's back on the wagon hard again...expect this week to likely be a net neutral one again with tonight and the superbowl factored in. Will see.

Day off from lifting and my cardio is done.  For the rest of the day I'll stand up at my desk, and walk up tons of flights of steps all the while eating sensibly.

How about the rest of you fatties?

Is there a feature on the peleton bikes where you guys can race against each other?
Every time you do a class, live or on demand, there is a leaderboard that scrolls on the right displaying everyone's name and total output for the ride. There is also a way to live-cam with someone, if they accept your invitation to do so, and isolate that person to race against. Never done it though.

Hit the weights this morning and logged 30 minutes on the treadclimber.

Oatmeal and skim milk for breakfast.

Yogurt as a snack a few minutes ago.

Turkey sandwich and pistachios are planned for lunch.

That's what I want to see my from fellow FBGs!

Potatoes for breakfast

Lunch - Romaine, cucumbers, celery, carrots, peppers and potatoes.

Only ate half my salad and veggies and was full.  Have my year end FF get together tonight at a local bar/restaurant.  Will likely hit up the chicken fajitas and will be under my target for today.

Bah, was up early to lift and the stupid wife wanted to "talk" so I missed my lifting.  Now I have to endeavor to do it tonight.

Women always gotta ruin everything.

I'm in for the bike race. Haven't ridden a bike in probably 15 years. How hard could it be?

bring your schticks
Try to get on it a couple of times in the next week and give some honest efforts on 45 min classes to establish a baseline. Then we can figure out a reasonable point spread, or in this case watt spread. Being a husky fella should help in the power/output department so we might not be too far apart.

Refocused this week.  No weight loss as of yet but man I don't feel like a bloated slob...lol   I think by Monday I may lose 5 pounds with the amount of offod that was in my gut :bag:

Is a speed bump in the end
