Peyton & Eli Manning - alternate MNF program: ‘The ManningCast’ (1 Viewer)

Love the Manning broadcast. They aren't polished but that's why it's great. They will literally say anything at any time. I find myself learning something every game they have done and also laughing out loud several times during the broadcast.

The only thing I would like to see improve is Peyton not feeling like he has to dominate the broadcast. There are a lot of times where he will start talking over Eli or his guest after he asks them a question or they start makiing an observation.

Eli is fantastic at his observations - Peyton needs to give him some time to talk.

I think this has been the revelation of the entire thing.  It’s clear that in the interpersonal family dynamic of ball-busting Eli >>>>> Peyton.  Not even close.

I'm a fan.  At first I did not like giving up the screen real estate to Peyton and Eli, but I adapted quickly.  They need to work on technique a little, and better tech would help (those "you go, no you go" type hesitations).  The guests are hit or miss and seem a little contrived.  I'm not interested in LeBron James as a guest, but on the other hand, Pat McAfee with a personal connection to Peyton was great.

Would be better if they went full screen when there is a play in motion and then once the guy is on the ground back to the booth or Manning screens for 20-30 seconds.

I'd rather stick to the way it is.

Seeing Peyton's body language/reactions during the play is a big must-see imo.

I switch channells back and forth... the gronks and lebrons are not compelling in the least.  The Staffords and Sabans and McAffee's? - gosh darn yes please.

So I pick and choose between the obvious clickbait and real.

Probably negotiating with ESPN based on the huge ratings spike they are getting.  Will be a long 4 weeks in their absence.
They only planned to do 8-10 games from the beginning.  Peyton and Eli want to do it when it's convenient for them and obviously they don't NEED the gig.

It actually should work out kind of well, as they can now reflect a bit on how the first few weeks went and decide what to adjust.

Though I also agree that the face that they are free flowing and DGAF is one of the key components, so hopefully they don't try to control too much.  That spirit is why the TNT NBA show is so good and rare to find on TV.

I never ever thought I would say this, but I missed seeing the Manning's on Television last night. The regular Monday night crew is terrible, I can't wait until Week 7 when the Manning's come back! I need this every week.

It was painful without em

Marshawn pounding shots of Hennessy. These guys fit right in. Just hate the delay on their responses. They need to clean that up.

I didn't know he spoke and honestly I can't see him fitting in with this group but I did see Brady might make an appearance, that would seem to work.

I hope Lynch is entertaining, rooting for him to come off with a potential new career in light broadcasting.
Lynch is the best. Dude is always entertaining and gives great legit good answers on pretty much any topic. Love that guy.

First time watching, and loving it.

Brady: Gronk comes up to me during the week and says, "What do I need to do this weekend?" I tell him, "Get open, catch the ball, and run away from the guys in the other colored jerseys." 😛

This is must see TV at this point.

To hear two of the best QBs of all time (and Eli I guess) just riffing on the game like this is legitimately fascinating.

Tom has great insight but he needs to pollish up his color man technique if he wants a career after football.
