Phrases/terms that need to be retired immediately (3 Viewers)

Heard a guy on the phone say "let's just pull all the levers and see what falls out"

Did he mean that literally or was it some kind of phrase?

If you're being serious, it's kind of like, "lets throw something against the wall and see if it sticks".

Maybe like a slot machine?
I was thinking old school vending machine where you pulled the knobs for the item you wanted. Sometimes you could walk up to them and pull random knobs and one of the snacks would actually vend.
Some laundromats still dispense soap this way.

Annual list of banished words is out: lssu.edu/banished

Agree with pretty much all, except that I didn't really perceive this epidemic misuse of "problematic."

I swear if I see/hear "the struggle is real".... or basically "struggle" in any lame-assed colloquialism I will be handing out throat punches.
LOL. Agree.

All the kids and their posting of memes, etc.. A few years ago it was YOLO and then they found "the struggle" to run into the ground. Last year, "Netflix &chill", "AF", and the ones that begin with "when you®...".

These things are funny. The kids are creative, for sure, but the problem is ONE kid is created, surrounded by a million lazy copycats.

"Tardy" should be banned, it's unbelievable that public schools continue to use a phrase that makes fun of people with disabilities to arrive on time. We can't call them the "r" word so we'll call them "tards" instead? Labeling a 7 year old as a "tardy" probably scars them for life.

It's absolutely true, schools even assign a "tardy" score for each kid so everyone knows just how dumb they are at getting to school on time. If a kid gets too many tardy points sometimes they won't let them do certain things like go to dances.

You're late to the game with this

I saw a commercial on TV the other day for some security system. They ended with "so-and-so system will protect you from coming home and finding out you've been robbed."

HFS you are peddling your crappy system and use completely incorrect terminology!
