Players with a chip on their shoulder or something to prove in '09 (1 Viewer)

This is a thread for players who can provide excellent value in '09 because they are playing with a chip on their shoulder or have something to prove in '09, whether it be that they underachieved in '08, were injury plagued, or are entering a contract year

I'll start off with Ocho Cinco

I believe he's bounce back from a terrible '08 campaign and resume putting up numbers more Ocho Cinco like

A total, under the radar, sleeper play, but Laurent Robinson. Injured all year, frustrating the staff, but his talent should earn him one more shot, and Douglas has made a strong case to be #3, which could motivate him. If the kid could stay healthy, he'd be very, very good, IMO. Would make a very stiff competition between the two.

Maybe that Tom Brady guy? Seeing Cassell be so successfuly might make Tom interested in protecting his legacy.

If Tom's healthy in the preseason...........he will be on my FFL roster, no matter what.

Michael Vick?

I think its technically possible.

ETA: Ok, maybe not excellent value but he would have a chip on his shoulder.

If you asked me two years ago who would be the best RBs in the league in 09, I might have listed these three. No way all three are has beens.

wrs

Braylon

Plaxico

Owens/Roy Williams depending on how that situation plays out.

qbs

hasselbeck

rivers

eli - not so much if a ff way though

Very Good list with the exception of Rivers as far as "value" goes.

If Bloomberg has his way, the only thing Plax will be playing this year is "hide the hamster" in prison. I like Hasselbeck here but not his surrounding cast. Seems like at least another rough year in SEA.
