PPC for QBs? (1 Viewer)

My main league gives QBs a PPC(point per completion). Has anyone ever used this stat and how far does it shoot the top QBs up the rankings?

Considering all the top 10 QBs all had 300+ completions, I am guessing all the top scores would be QBs by a long shot. Do you also have -1 per incompletion? There has to be something that balances this out.

My league gives -.25 for an incompletion, no points for completions.

So a typical game for Drew Brees might look like:

-1.00 1 Sacks Against

-2.75 11 Incomplete Passes

16.50 330 Passing Yards

4.00 1 Passing TDs

-1.00 1 Interceptions

0.40 4 Rushing Yards

16.15 Subtotal

Along with 4 pts per TD and -1 for sacks, QB scoring is lower than some leagues. Plus this is a 2 QB league, so I wanted QB scoring lower. (although we might be higher for yardage than some)

There are no negatives for incompletions. QBs do score well above the other positions. The reasoning for the rule is/was do de-empasize the value of RBs. This is a 12 teamer and 19-20 RBs would typically be gone in the 1st 2 rounds. It seems(to me anyway) that this could add more strategy and thought process in building a team. One could either go for the typical load up on RBs or take a hit there and go with a stud QB to try and outscore other teams each week. This is a 4 team keeper starting from scratch this year but you can only keep 2 players per position.

This brings up an interesting dilema for those drafting in the middle / late in the 1st. I hate going QB early but I may have to rethink that this season. If I could get a guy like Rodgers mid to late in the 1st and keep him for his entire career then I may have to.

We award .35 for completions and subtract .25 for incompletions and I love it.

A full point per completion with no penalty for incompletions drastically distorts QBs IMO.

2 points per completion, minus one for each attempt, so basically plus one for each completion above 50 percent. Spreads the QBs out more, and bumps them up in the rankings. Sort of like in two QB leagues that give 6 points for TDs, but with 14 teams we really don't have the option 2 QB option.
