Pre 1 DAL @ SEA (1 Viewer)

Kincade looks "ok" for Dallas at RB. The announcers made it sound as though he was playing for a chance to hook on with another team

Dallas still playin/hitting hard. They seem hungrier than Sea does. Dallas defenders are around the ball on every play

i will watch Dallas post game and report anything of note. Just a thought. Those of you in very deep leagues might look to pickup Hurd. Glenn was hurt. Crayton was hurt. And, TO is sitting out w/ hammy problems. Hurd might be only WR left

This game better serve as a lesson, that type of performance is unacceptable, we need Burlson to step it up fast and not become another Koren Robinson in terms of unseen potential. All and all though it should hepl to serve as a character builder and lesson, though we didn't have D-Jack,Wistrom, Stevens, Womack, Bernard, or Tubbs we still should've won even a preseason game at the Qwest. Tapp looked good, Spencer looked a little raw, Peterson looked like he was adapting excellently to our scheme and I can't wait to see more. The Hamlin is back but I'm still waiting on a beloved"HAMMERING" of an unsuspecting reciever.
Settle down sparky, it's the first preseason game, and welcome to FBG's.

You live in Oregon so you probably only make it to the Qwest 1 or 2 times a year, so I'll give ya' a pass on that one. This fact makes you a true Hawk fan but a twelth man you are NOT, so know your tone when talking to a 4 time ticket holder, Sparky. FBGs? No compreheno, amigo. True virtually nobody made the game, but the Hawks of last year had to rely on the back-ups to make it all the way, and such is traditionally the case. So these guys performance IS very important, if only in terms of seeing the effort given and willingness to give to the team.
As I see in many posts, you just like to piss people off, I'm not taking the bait. 6 yr ticket holder, I only live 3 hrs away. Seats in the Kingdome, UW, and Qwest. Making the Super Bowl via backups???? It's really neither here nor there. Depth is important, however once again it's preseason. If you really want to rant 12th man, search the Super Bowl threads. :bye:

Romo was impressive, if this game was to showcase him for a trade then he did alot for his value. I can easily see this guy as a starting QB in the NFL someday soon. It appears, at least early on, the moves Dallas made to improve to O-line in the offseson have not panned out thus far. Hurd and Crayton impressive
not so quick, no Wistrom,Tubbs,Bernard and Romo is more mobile than Bledsoe
I'm not sure what you are referring to by "not so quick". If you read the entire post I am simply saying Romo looked good the O-line did not, and 2 young receivers stood out for Dallas. It's only pre-season, there's no reason to come on here and try to defend the Hawks performance, I was commenting on Dallas players.

Two things I also thought, Shick will surely put this guy on vacation, and I like the fact that he became a Seahawk fan right about the time they won there first playoff game in 20 yrs. :lmao:

neither Dallas RB showed me much last night. Barber had a bad goal line carry where he tried to bounce it outside and lost like 3 yards. Jones really didn't do anything special.

Burleson was thrown to 3 times last night and caught zero. After the first Hasselbeck looked disgusted. He needs to wrestle the ball away and catch with his hands.

:lmao: I wonder what he'd say about me? I'm a better Seahawks fan than most I've ever met and I've never even been to Seattle. 28 years since the days of Doornick, Theotis Brown, and Jack Patera. We Hawk fans have to stick together as a serious minority.

seriously underappreciated back in UCLA history.

My random thoughts...

Watched TIVO of the game late last night. Being able to rewind plays many times makes for a great experience. Too cool. Most of what I say is based on the first quarter. When the starters sit it becomes pointless to try and make any sort of judgments based on what we see.

Cornerback opposite Trufant has been my main concern all off-season. Ask the other Seahawk homers how pissed I was they didn't opt to pay Ty Law. Regardless, this is still a huge problem. Did Romo look good? Or did Herndon and Jennings look bad? They had many many chances to make a plays, but each got toasted like a fresh slice of rye. Not good.

Burleson failed to make a play on a deep ball. Had it in his arms, but the DB had solid coverage. Hasselbeck threw the ball well. Mili made a nice play. That was encouraging. Engram is gold in this offense. I expect Burleson to be fine, but I also expect Engram to catch more balls than Burleson.

Seattle defense didn't blitz at all. Very vanilla. Peterson lined up as a DE on passing downs. He moved well and I believe he is back to pre-injury athleticism. Looking forward to him being a big time play maker. Pass rush was non-existant allowing Romo time to survey field. Seattle run defense was fine. Noticed several defenders doing a good job of taking on blockers and stretching running plays out. Nice to see guys playing solid "team" run defense so early in the year.

I believe in Patrick Crayton. Not because he scored, but because he does a good job of "snatching" the ball with his hands. He could be a serious play maker. The Crayton/Owens/Glenn trio will be dangerous. Witten doesn't hurt either. Bledsoe is getting bumped in my rankings tomorrow. I see this Cowboy team throwing a lot. Sure Parcells would love to run the ball all game long. What head coach wouldn't? That said, I think they use their best weapons and air it out a lot.

Walter Jones flat out wiffed on a delay. Had he engaged the DE Alexander would have had a long gain around the left, but Jones blew it. Not something I've seen much of in the past. Chris Spencer played the entire game. Both guard positions and also at center. On the play that Jones wiffed Spencer did a nice job of getting to the second level quickly and laying out a LB.

Thanks for the heads up. I was gone all weekend. I'll look into his posting history.
