On defense and special teams it looks like there are 12-13 Redskins on every play.Oops, just as I type that a zillion yard flea flicker works for the Bengals.
That was 2nd team defense vs. 1st team offense . . . and a rookie safety swallowed hook, line, sinker, fishing pole, fisherman, dock and bait house.

Please update Portis's status when available. I'll give you my home phone number if you like.
My .02.Possible stinger due to the angle of the tackle he made. -or-possible shoulder separation -or-possible fractured/bruised/broken forearm or wrist.

Knowing the viewing audience is interested in the extent of Portis's injury, the TV crew chooses instead to discuss Carson Palmer's injury repeatedly.

Glad to see Mr. Kenny Watson of PSU and Joe the cop form the What's goin down episode of That's My Momma, getting some work.

Robert Geathers reads a draw play perfectly and stops it 4 yards short of the LOS. I really think this guy's going to be huge this year.

"MercifuL" Mike Espy is doing all he can to make Todd Collins look less imcompetent. Even Espy's superpowers are not enough to accomplish this.

SO................. x-ray being negative rules out broken bones correct? What is possible? Seperation or what? I am not a doctor and have no idea.

Clinton Portis, RB WAS

News: Clinton Portis and the Washington Redskins got a spot of good news, as X-rays on his left shoulder were negative. He is still being taken for an MRI on the shoulder.

Analysis: The Redskins are breathing a sigh of relief, but he is not out of the woods just yet. Once we get the MRI results, we will pass them along to you, but at least there are no broken bones.

Good news.I hate seeing good players hurt.

Kerry Carter works on too many dance moves, ignores the hole the O-line has opened, and gets flattened.

James Thrash works on his Mike Espy impersonation by getting open and catching a pass.

Kerry Carter has now injured his knee.

Is being sub 6-foot a requirement to be a WR for the skins?

Running back Clinton Portis hurt a shoulder on the Washington Redskins' opening series and left the preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

X-rays were negative, but the Redskins immediately sent him for an MRI test within the stadium to see if he had damaged tissue around the shoulder.

Portis opened by carrying for 8 yards, then blocked on pass plays. He didn't return for the next series, and headed for the locker room a little while later without his jersey to get the shoulder tested.

Portis started every game last season, running for a club-record 1,516 yards. He had nine 100-yard games, helping the Redskins win 10 games and reach the playoffs as a wild-card team.

Washington's second-string linebacker Chris Clemons sprained a ligament in his left knee late in the first quarter. Clemons, who started one game last season, had a brace placed on the knee before he was helped off the field. He didn't put weight on his left leg.
