He needed this game tonight, because he's been very iffy the first two games of the preseason (lots of whiffed tackles and blown assignments). We're seeing what a focused Alec can do.

Anybody watching the Philly/Jax game able to weigh in on the RB2 situation in Philly? Don't want to post suscriber content, but it seems in the latest Fall Camp Week 3 that Polk has seemingly gained the edge over Bryce Brown.

I know so far Brown has 3 carries to Polk's 1, but I'm curious if anybody can weigh in. I think there's late value to be had there.

I asked the Philly homers this in the Eagles thread and they seem confident that Brown is the clear #2.

Don't know if you can read anything into it, but Brown was the next RB in the game after McCoy tonight. He's had a couple of decent runs but the team in general doesn't seem to be running much so far tonight. Polk got some time in the first half as well.ETA: 1st half rushing stats - Brown 3-14, McCoy 5-9 (long of 15), Polk 1-4, Vick 7-53

Tennessee's got the right idea with regard to their run-pass ratio. Lean less on Locker is probably a good thing for both the Titans and Locker

Anyone watch the Bengal game? I see BJGE got 5 yards on 4 carries. Time to put him out to pasture and give Gio the keys to the minivan.

His conspicuous absence on Hard Knocks speaks volumes, IMO.

He was on, the owner was driving him to practice in his cart. Remember, the show is edited to create story lines and make entertainment. Perhaps BJGE is just a boring guy. There isn't much of a story with him. He isn't a star, not a rookie, not in danger of being cut, etc. If BJGE was in danger of losing his spot to Bernard, that would likely be on the show because it would be compelling.

If you are a Jets fan right now, you are finding the hardest liquor possible and making it a double. I want Geno Smith to succeed but it just isn't possible right now and putting him in the starting lineup at Week 1 will destroy him. Anybody that saw him in WVU knows that confidence is one of his biggest issues.
