Preseason Game Observations (1 Viewer)

Is it just me or do MJD's legs look smaller and his belly looks bigger?

He doesn't seem to have his usual powerful/tree trunk looking legs and looks a little chubby around the waste

 
Pre-game odds on Sanchez and Gabbert combining for a 7-7 with 2TDs start?

Also, Jeff Cumberland is someone to watch IMO. Ryan has already said straight out that he's the starter and he's had big plays on his only two targets this preseason.

I want to preface this by saying I have already pinched myself three times to make sure I wasn't having a weird dream... but, Blaine Gabbert looks... He looks, well, good. Anybody else noticing this?

That 3rd and 9 conversion against the overload blitz sure looked good.

 
Ok, Eifert just had a nice catch and run up the middle...looked very open and had some room to run after the catch...

The Jets and Jaguars defenses are two you will want to start all players against this year.

OK...we all know Gabbert sux this makes me wonder just how bad is this Jets Defense. They get worse every year.

 
I refuse to believe that Gabbert and Sanchez have gotten better and am steadfastly believing that both defenses are just absolutely terrible.

 
Miami offense is absolute chix #### right now. Big turnover, 1st down, Miller for about a yard, 2nd down and it's a sack, 3rd down is a dump off to Miller for a loss, I already knew that because Mike Wallace was lined up wide well well before the huddle broke so I knew he was no part of whatever was called on 3rd and long, I'm sure Houston knew as well.

Do not overpay for any of these guys. Miami is a bottom 5 offense IMO right now.

He's running hard. Had two nice runs where he made moves and broke some tackles. Then had 2 short carries. Broke a 3rd and 1 outside for a 7 yard gain wiped out by a holding. 4 for 26 on the first drive. He ran hard and is quicker than I thought.

They actually look really cool from the front but the side view looks as if the guy making them ran out of black spray paint halfway through the paint job. Wouldn't look too bad if it had clean lines instead of a black to gold (or whatever color that is) fade.

I never saw what people like about Tannehill. Losing Long was really rough too.

Really? I expect more from you than this mop you're a ff vet.

Preseason is bs.

2 preseason a Ho colt McCoy looked like the next coming of Dan Marino and the browns offense looked scary good. Then the season started....

This is correct. You can only take so much from these games. The owners should be ashamed of themselves charging full price for these 4 preseason games per year. It's terrible.

Thanks for the info. :thumbup: End of the 4th/early 5th seems to be darn good value for him.

Watching the Jets game, you would think Powell was the starting RB, not Ivory.

I appreciate the appreciation but I have watched every Miami game for quite some time, most of my life actually. I want to make sure and share this with you so we have the same info to discuss. Tannehill has stunk in practice, looked terrible on any pass over 25 yards, he cannot connect on the long ball with anyone that any reporter who covers the team can report either. This is bad, a stud defense and a pitiful offense, I'm gonna sprout at least 12 more gray hairs this season watching this orgy of nepotism starting at the owner, front office, and dribbles down thru to the head coach and all the assistants he has hired who hired him many moons ago. It's basically a Congressman paying back everyone thru the title of the Miami Dolphins, enjoy being a fan this season. Did you have any questions for me? :)

It will almost certainly take an Ivory injury for Powell to be relevant this year. NYJ got a good look at Powell during the second half of the season last year and still brought Ivory in.
