They have moved the ball well every time Rodgers has been in the game.GB offense hasn't looked good at all in any of their preseason games.
Which...has been very little.

In all fairness, Benson only had 9 carries against SF because they fell way behind and had to abandon the run in the second half, and he only had 7 carries in the game he had to leave injured. In other three games, he had 20, 17 and 18 carries, so it did appear as if they were trying to establish the run. If Lacy averages 16 carries a game (Benson's average in the four full games he played), he only needs to average 4.0 YPC to get to over 1,000 rushing yards, and there will be catches and touchdowns to be gotten, too, so there is plenty of value there.Under McCarthy Green Bay has ranked 24, 21, 17, 14, 24, 27, and 20th in rushing.First off...with Cedric freaking Benson GB committed to run the ball.
I have been on McCarthy in the past for not doing it enough...but sometimes it is hard to blame him not running when he has nobody to hand the ball off to.
If you don't think EDS, Lang, and Sitton have or play with attitude...you are clueless. Not saying they are great...but they play with attitude. Jury still out on the rook.
As for last night...again, as others have said. Look at what Seattle was doing. Loading the box...knowing they were not going to get beat by Graham Harrell throwing it to Jeremy Ross and Myles White.. And they have the corners and safeties to deal with Jones...the only real threat at the time.
Yes...the WRs and QB don't play OL. But the OL is not likely to see that stacked of a box again when Rodgers, Cobb, Nelson are all on the field.
Benson gained 248 yards in 5 games with a 3.5 ypc.
Definitely will be interested to see them tonight. I've almost put on the full court press to move Wallace for other WR options...I've gone from feeling positive about Miami to feeling the need to steer clear of Tannehill, Miller, Wallace & Hartline.
Preseason, can't tell maybe, but that's where it's landed.
And last season with crap at RB...they were something like 16th in the league in rushing attempts.(more than Tampa, Philly, Pitt, St. Louis, NYG...)Under McCarthy Green Bay has ranked 24, 21, 17, 14, 24, 27, and 20th in rushing.First off...with Cedric freaking Benson GB committed to run the ball.

He looked pretty good last week though.Definitely will be interested to see them tonight. I've almost put on the full court press to move Wallace for other WR options...I've gone from feeling positive about Miami to feeling the need to steer clear of Tannehill, Miller, Wallace & Hartline.

Great observation. So now we know that James Jones can't beat Richard Sherman 1:1.Watched much of the Seahawks/Packers game just now on DVR.
- Russell Wilson was disappointing.
- Green Bay could struggle if Nelson/Cobb are limited. Jones struggles to beat coverage. Finley looked like the only real playmaker on the field.
- Eddie Lacy looked slow and sluggish. Very disappointing.
- On the other hand, Christine Michael looked very explosive. Good power too. Crazy as it seems, I don't think I'd trade him for any other rookie RB in dynasty at this point.
- Seattle TE Luke Willson played early and often. Made some nice blocks too. Definitely looking like a solid player.
- Chris Harper is pretty far down the Seahawks depth chart and at risk of getting cut. He will likely have a big audition next week and he needs to make some plays.
When I see stuff like this I can only think its trolling, you truely don't understand the game or haven't played football from ages 14 up. There's no other explanation for such stupidity.I wasn't able to catch any of the games last night. I'm having a hard time trying decipher if everyone here is just in love with Lacy or if there really was something that points to this guy being worth his ADP. I've read all the excuses and they sound pretty bad to me.
Cobb and Nelson are out: Ok, didn't realize those guys played offensive line
Backup QB: See above.
Pryor is a terrible QB and I seriously doubt the Oakland coaching staff has the skill set to coach him up. Yes, he can run, but NFL team will smash him into the ground and he'll NEVER find the open receiver. Even If aWR runs right in front of him he'll still manage to miss him by a mile. Oakland just needs to start their QB research for next years draft. I feel bad for the Oakland fans. They deserve better than this.Is there any way that Pryor could go into the season as the starter? He could end up with 800 rushing yards on broken pass plays alone.Would have been nice to see Pryor playing against Chicago's first-string defense, to see whether this enthusiasm is warranted or not, but that ship has sailed. I don't expect Seattle's starting defense will play much, if at all against the Raiders next week.
And Jones had Sherman beat on the one they called the ticky tack PI on Sherman when their feet tangled and Sherman reached out to Jones.Great observation. So now we know that James Jones can't beat Richard Sherman 1:1.Watched much of the Seahawks/Packers game just now on DVR.

... seriously. That's who was on him all night. Who expects JJ to beat Sherman? If these teams played again Sherman wouldn't even be on Jones. Sherman would be covering Nelson.
There's honestly not much to take away from this game, except Wilson is going to have a mediocre year (which I predicted in the Wilson v Kaepnernick sh.tfest thread) and DuJuan Harris got hurt so Lacy is even more in the clear RB role.
Lacy also had the second string offense and Harrell in there against one of the top defenses in the league. I'm not surprised he couldn't do anything. Maybe that was the goal for the coaches, though. Put Lacy in unwinnable situations and see if he can do well. Then they know they have their guy? That's the only reason I can think of why they didn't put Lacy with Rodgers... maybe they already know that's a winning combination.
None of that looked to be the case yesterday.Pryor is a terrible QB and I seriously doubt the Oakland coaching staff has the skill set to coach him up. Yes, he can run, but NFL team will smash him into the ground and he'll NEVER find the open receiver. Even If aWR runs right in front of him he'll still manage to miss him by a mile. My Anti Pryor argument in a nutshellDo you not realize that defenses will change their schemes and load the box when you have a backup QB and below average WRs in the game? That will kill any running lanes for a RB.I wasn't able to catch any of the games last night. I'm having a hard time trying decipher if everyone here is just in love with Lacy or if there really was something that points to this guy being worth his ADP. One good run got called back from a hold: Some say it was the hold that opened up the hole. Others may be blinded by love.
It's the Seattle D: True, but I don't want my RB having negative yards on 8 carries even if they are playing against an all star team.
Can someone post something of value and actual insight? Only positive I've seen (which is a big positive) is that he was picking up pass blocks well. Vonta Leach is a great blocker as well, but I'm not drafting him. Don't tell me that he was a beast, etc. because no player that touches the ball 8 times and goes for negative yards is a beast.

Add a third reason: sub-par receivers who can't get open. Not having watched the game...is Flynn that bad, or is it the O-line not giving him enough time. I read somewhere that he had 7 sacks in 34 dropbacks which means the O-line is terrible, he's holding on to the ball too long, or some combination of the two. I'm curious which one it is.
Go CougsI am looking forward to the Buffalo Washington game exclusively for Tuel time. Maybe I will tune in the second quarter to aviod most of Grossman vs Kolb battle of ineptitude.
I don't think Wilson was particularly disappointing.Watched much of the Seahawks/Packers game just now on DVR.
- Russell Wilson was disappointing.
He was 11/17 with one of the incompletions right on the money to Tate. One of the interceptions was tipped. How can you say he was inaccurate?Russell Wilson looked indecisive and inaccurate. He should have had 3 picks.
you want to talk about a terrible QB, it's Matt Flynn.None of that looked to be the case yesterday.Pryor is a terrible QB and I seriously doubt the Oakland coaching staff has the skill set to coach him up. Yes, he can run, but NFL team will smash him into the ground and he'll NEVER find the open receiver. Even If aWR runs right in front of him he'll still manage to miss him by a mile. Pretty much. Lacy has the look of s back who gets 15-20 touches a game. He runs well.Re:lacy Annie someone asking if it was bad, not bad, etc. he also got 6 years taken from his totals because of the Harrell ball he fell on. Overall, when Rodgers went out, it was him against the Seattle first stringers. Really not a good ways to measure how he looked other than watching his effort on carries and that looked really good
Is Helu definitely the backup? I thought he was battling Thompson and someone elseGarcon, Alf and Helu looking great.
Hes been in on two or three plays, but he was the main target on one of those plays for a decent catch and run. He shared the backfield with Morris on the goal line when they targetted Garcon on a quick pass for a TD.Is Helu definitely the backup? I thought he was battling Thompson and someone elseGarcon, Alf and Helu looking great.
Yeah, he looked to be slightly gimpy when he walked back to the huddle from there. I wonder if that was just compounded? Hopefully he is alright.I thought the shot spiller took on the sideline looked worse.
Yes had read a few different articles indicating Helu has locked up the #2 job. With Royster as #3.Is Helu definitely the backup? I thought he was battling Thompson and someone elseGarcon, Alf and Helu looking great.
