Too lazy to search, but the Samsung SSD was a cinch to backup and install. Damn, this thing is fast.

Thanks!
 Take a look at the programs that launch in your startup file. Get rid of some of those that are unnecessary and it boots that much faster. It can really boost the performance an older PC.
I see this posted, but how do I know what is unnecessary?

Maybe start your own thread and ask?

Tommy John people - Cool Cotton or Second Skin?
Answer me damnit.
Try a pair of each. Can't go wrong with either but it comes down to personal preference.
Which do you prefer I get?
When wearing pants I go with boxer briefs

When wearing shorts I go with trunks

I only have one pair of the cotton. While very nice, I prefer the silkier feel of the second skin. :bag:
How long does it take to get comfortable using that kangaroo pouch? Will that kangaroo pouch hold a potato? Asking for a friend. :oldunsure:
You will try to remove your junk the old fashion way for a week or so. then all of the sudden you will realize you are front pulling and life is back to normal but 100% better.

Tommy Copper braces and sleeves. I was totally skeptical of the healing claims made re: copper products, but bought a calf sleeve when I tweaked my calf muscle. Pain was gone in no time at all.
I have a problem with my patella tendon in my left knee. I was thinking about getting one of these. Does it work for tendon issues or is it mainly for muscle pain?
The theory is that it increases the blood flow in the area, which I assume would help with tendon issues as much as with muscle pain. I was super skeptical, but needed a sleeve anyway and grabbed that one. The difference was amazing.
I am in on these - I have had awful golfers elbow in my Rt (non-dominant) arm ( LOOK AT TME, I AM A LEFTY!!) and have had 2 cortisone shots in the last 8 months as a result. I am willing to try just about anything short of completely giving up the gym and golf.....

Have you tried the flexbar exercises? I had a bad case of tennis elbow, tried a couple of different doctors/treatments that didn't help much until I found out about this simple product. It worked great for my tennis elbow, and there is the reverse exercise for golfers elbow.

Google what it is, determine if it needs to happen at boot. On windows, it is called something like selective startup. Not sure how it works on Mac.

CCCleaner is some free software that helps speed too.
+1 on CCleaner, has probably put years on mine and relatives' computers

Anyone have thoughts on LED light bulbs?
Use them everywhere I can in my house
Use the Philips LED floodlights and they look great and supposedly are saving me money monthly (hard to gauge as I swap them in as the old incandescent ones burn out) I did have an issue with one of them and called Ohilips and they replaced it for free, no questions

The look is great, are an energy saver and should not have to be replaced for 20 years or so

Just got my Exofficio Boxer Briefs in. Wow, I've been missing out for a long time. They are amazing. Anyone got any recommendations for socks? I like to wear really small socks so they don't show.

No problem, hope it helps. It worked wonders for my tennis elbow, and some of the reviews say the same for golfers elbow.

FWIW, was at the pool on Saturday with the kids. It was 90+ outside and I cracked a beer in a "normal" coozie and set it by the side of the pool. Between watching the kids, running to the bathroom with them (they're both toddlers) and taking sips when I could....a Yeti coozie could've come in handy.

Found out my wife is' getting me one for Father's Day, and we happen to go to the beach for a week this weekend as well. Will come in handy and report back :banned:

Have used mine 2 times at the pool in the last week or so. Both times were HOT (upper 90s) with direct sun.

First day was pretty heavy drinking pace so it never would have had time to get hold. The other involved a good bit of pool basketball, so swings were between lulls in play (a good swig every 5-10 mins). Most other guys were abandoning beers halfway through due to them being hot. Mine stayed nice and cold the whole time. Pretty sweet real world situation where it was a nice benefit.

Not a huge deal... but a nice perk. Overnighted my pop's up to him in maine on a his annual old-guys fishing trip with his buddies. Said it worked fantastic and several others said they were going to order one.

Yeah, I don't know how they do it, but they really are different from your average koozie. I'd happily take one as a gift. I can't pony up the dough for one mainly because I don't take very long to drink a beer :bag:

The signal that my wifi router (comcast) puts out is terrible. It doesn't reach the other side of my house. Any recommendations?
I had the same problem. Got this and haven't had a problem since. It's amazing. I even have one in an out building I never got internet in, now I've got wireless there. Amazing. Huge fan.
Just realized my house is on two different circuits and this won't work for me. Anyone else use a range extender or type of router that would help?

You can take any router and turn it into a hotspot but you'll need to run an ethernet cable from router to router. If that's out, my son bought a Netgear extender like this, worked pretty well. http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-N300-Wi-Fi-Range-Extender/dp/B004YAYM06

Do you have a dual band router? 5ghz is faster but does not penetrate walls very well. 2.4ghz is a tad slower but will go farther.

I bit the bullet and so far the nighthawk x4 has done great for me. I have the iPad on 5ghz since I am always near the router and the phone on 2ghz since I listen to music cutting grass.

Yes. Old router was a Netgear WNR2000 which was 2.4G only, new one is an ASUS RT-A66U which is both. If I could place the router directly in the middle of the house I could probably cover everywhere but I have a basement room gym on one end of the house and it probably wouldn't reach there. And my geek/AV room is on the same end so it's cleaner there. :nerd: So I originally had the Netgear and was okay with it. Son didn't get good wifi in his room so he bought the extender which I added in. Then I bought the ASUS to replace the Netgear, then later removed the extender and threw the old Netgear in as an extender. Better throughput with the old router wired to new than with the wall plug extender.

I bought the a Netgear Nighthawk router a few months ago. I saw a few folks recommend it in this thread. I love mine (signal is awesome compared to what I had before) with one notable exception. I have 2 wireless printers that "lose" their network connection fairly regularly, and it's a PITA when it happens. I did some Googling and I'm far from the only one that has experienced this phenomenon. If you have wireless printers at home, you might want to look elsewhere.

Because of this thread I've bought 12 pairs ExOfficios boxer briefs (They are awesome, started with one pair.) & 2 bottles of Incredible Stain Remover
Incredible Stain Remover is the real deal. I had a grease stain on my passenger floor mat that was otherwise immaculate. I've tried power washing it and using Oxiclean on it. ISC removed it in less than a minute. Great stuff.

I have experienced this once so far.

Side note: whoever recommended spotify damn you! In a good way.

Another vote for the Yeti Colster insulated coozie. Lots of B&M stores around are sold out of them, but you can get one shipped from Academy Sports for $32.

Scored the Yeti 20oz Tumbler today. I purposefully mixed a tasty beverage on ice and left it in the car for an hour. Still perfectly cold and I could not tell of any watered down ice. So far 10/10.

I have a Yeti (35qt?). Great little ice chest, but for the price not worth it unless you sit on a boat all day every day. Very nice though don't get me wrong.

Somebody here recommended it and I bought some. Works great.

As if Spotify wasn't already worth the price of admission, they added a "Run" feature to the app. It monitors your pace and sets up running playlists based on your pace. Pretty cool. I was out of good stuff to listen to, and they play some good stuff to help keep you moving. Highly recommend Spotify now more than ever.

If anyone is looking for a pair of Bluetooth headphones for working out or otherwise, these for 30 bucks on Amazon are pretty great:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W4YU578/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_2qQIvbBMMHW97

Sound quality is decent, they work right out of the box, stay in your ear while running. Really enjoyed my first run with them yesterday. Pretty nice not having that damn wire getting in the way. Two big fat Otis thumbs up.
:lmao:

just ordered these yesterday

I find it funny that all of us recommending the Yeti coozie/tumbler live in the South. They can't keep them on the shelves here.
Gotta love alaskaguy™ "You people are CRAZY for spending $30 on something to keep your drink cold!"

Just ordered another Samsung 500GB EVO SSD for the MacBook Pro. Gonna pull out the CD/DVD Burner and replace it with another Hard drive since I never use the damn thing. CD Drive = Floppy Drive = Stegosaurus

MOAR STORAGE! NOMNOMNOM

Are these the same ones that were linked earlier in the thread? (price is the same if they arent). They are nice in the facts that they are wireless, worked very easily and stayed on my head just fine, but the sound quality is pretty crappy. They're only $30, but you get what you pay for here. In hindsight, I think I would've rather paid a little more and gotten better sound quality.
