Products you believe in - Let's hear 'em (1 Viewer)

I read that the Coleman xtreme was almost as good as the Yeti at a fraction of the price. Plus Yeti has all those latches that your family is likely never to close right.

Pelican also makes a cooler that the outdoor nerds seem to like.

Here a good comparison article,

The iceless cooler looks neat.

Bose speakers - save the Bose is junk comments. They sound great and are built great. They cost more but I'm ok with that.
Damn ####### straight. I have a few Bose Cinemate systems and they are awesome, easy to set up, and sound fantastic. And they last.....forever.
Yep. Love my Bose Soundlink Mini. Badass little speaker. Built like a tank. Great sound quality. Fantastic battery life (and replaceable battery). Great industrial design as well. Love it.

CARS : HYUNDAI GENESIS

I'll add (since we're talking cars): My affinity for Jeep Wranglers is pretty well known here, but I love my 2nd "practical" car just as much. I LOVE my 2010 Hyundai Genesis 4.6. Picked one up with 46k miles for about $15k out the door a half year back or so and it's been phenomenal.

Some things I love about it:

FAST: 4.6L V8 engine with 5.5 sec 0-60 times and governed at 160mph or so. 1-finger-steer-smooth cruising at 90-110mph on the freeway.

PLUSH: Awesome leather interior. Heated/Cooled seats. Power EVERYTHING (Down to the rear sunshade). Radar Cruise that keeps you a preset distance from traffic ahead of you. Parking sensors around the perimeter to avoid hitting cars/walls/etc... blah blah blah... the car is loaded.

AUDIO: Lexicon's 17 speaker 7.1 discrete surround system is simply sick. By far the best sound system I've ever heard in any car. LOUD and Crystal clean to the point you can easily hear limitations of many recordings (even current ones). If you're a music fan... you owe it to yourself to give this system a listen.

LOOK: It's a sharp car... with design cues completely ripped from comparable Mercedes and Lexus offerings.

Even driving aggressively with the big v8, I routinely get around 20mpg.

Love this car.... it's ridiculous value for the price.

Tried really hard to talk the wife into one of these. I lost.

When you're talking new cars.. the value isn't quite as apparent at $40k+ for the v8 and $52k+ for the v8.... but they depreciate so quickly that the early 2010-2012 models present pretty insane value for the amount of car you'll get for $15-20k or so.

The sound system is from same company who installs in Rolls Royce. The auto transmission (at least in my model) is the same exact transmission BMW used in their M5's at the time. Hyundai very clearly was not ####### around and were tired of being viewed as another cheap Korean brand.

But can the Coleman extreme transform my 1978 Volvo transformer style into the xxxxx hunting, yoga pant slaying lifted red neck 4x4 Texas truck mentioned a few posts above like the yeti surely can? I think not sir! I THINK NOT!!

Don't shy from the Igloo Sportsman series.... comparable to Yeti but $199 for 55qt at Sam's Club.

I'm loving the T shirts I bought based on the recommendations here. They're great and dirt cheap.

Also got those FeelgoodZ flip flops. Not bad. They run a little small, the 13 is smaller than the 13 in my Havaiannas. But the top is a nice squishy substance which, well, feelz good.

If anyone is looking for a pair of Bluetooth headphones for working out or otherwise, these for 30 bucks on Amazon are pretty great:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W4YU578/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_2qQIvbBMMHW97

Sound quality is decent, they work right out of the box, stay in your ear while running. Really enjoyed my first run with them yesterday. Pretty nice not having that damn wire getting in the way. Two big fat Otis thumbs up.
Ordered
Fit well, but the sound quality is poor. This is my first bluetooth headset so I am not sure how they compare to others, but thus far

I have a Yeti sticker sitting in a drawer. Thought about sticking it on my sons power wheel as a joke.

For those of you who build your own computers or have a processor that runs hot (like AMD's FX-9590), just purchased the Cooler Master Seidon 240m.

This 240mm liquid cooler is amazing. Make sure that you have a place for it in your case. I was able to mount the radiator to the top of the case with the two 120mm fans and they do not come over the top of the motherboard (Note: I have the Cooler Master Haf X case so it is pretty large to begin with).

It's currently 74 degrees F in my office and my processor is humming along at 11 degrees C. If I turn off the AC and let the room heat up, it will idle at 20-24 C (It's 90+ here and my office could get to 85 pretty quickly). In game, I can't break 50 C with the AC on.

Terrific liquid cooler but make sure you know where you can mount it in your case before you buy.

Get your own modem instead of leasing one from your provider.
If you get the higher level router from your provider (FiOS) are you getting screwed? What does a better non standard router get you?
If you are leasing equipment from your provider, you're likely getting completely hosed. There may be exceptions for FiOS, but for cable it's a horrible racket.
This is what I have. I will check to see what I'm paying for it and what I can do for replacement.

I heard about Sheex on the radio today. Anybody here try them?
What the H are performance sheets. I'm out.
 It's like sleeping on Under Armor sheets.
They sound awesome. Someone buy them and let me know if it's worth it. :)
I've suffered from insomnia for a long, long, time now so I'll take any potential help I can get. I ordered them, they are supposed to arrive today. :excited:

I'm going to look right now to see if we lease our router or if it's provided. I'm sure Verizon's bills don't really give much detail into it. I'm betting they say it won't even work without their specific router too. Anyone have experience with this? If I can lower my FiOS bill and get a faster router...yes please.

I looked at my cablevision bill and it gives no breakdown whatever. Its just one line item for 59.95; no taxes, no fees, no modem, no nothing other than that.

Yep, same with Verizon. Services & Equipment - Internet $59.95. Nothing else besides the taxes and whatever fee on a separate line. I did see a promo for their "Quad" router where you could either lease for $9.95/month or buy for $199.99. I'm guessing/hoping that my router is included in my internet service?

I want to replace the under cabinet radio in our kitchen with something that can stream our siriusxm servixe. Anything?

I ordered the Sheex performance sheets that SLB linked. I need high-performance sheets. plus, it has sex right in the name.

Lol. I can't imagine what would happen to the time space continuum if you put a yeti cooler on a bed that had high performance sheets on it. Mind = Blown.

Motorola droid and quicksilver surf shorts.

Last droid lasted 5 yrs, still works great as a WiFi device, new droid is off the charts.

Have a pair of quicksilver shorts from 12 yrs ago I've worn to death. Finally tossed them last week, fabric breaking, but they took a ton of abuse
