I bought the Rambler on Friday. Really is an awesome product that does what it says it'll do.

Tried hot liquids (ala COFFEE) in it?

And for those with the Colster, do you have to "pre-cool" it or anything?

I have not tried anything hot, but I would bet that it would work very well that way also. I don't drink much coffee, but if I think of it, I'll test it out tomorrow.

Just found out the company I work for sells parts to Yeti for their coolers. Currently trying to negotiate a discount on their stuff

Update: No discount on the Ramblers, only the coolers. Apparently they've had sales over $14m already this year on JUST THE RAMBLERS.

I go from coffee to ice water a few times a day and it works great.

This Bulova watch is awesome. I've worn mine nearly daily for work for almost 4 years. The batter recently went again and the band is starting to get pretty tattered, but for the 80 bucks I paid, I don't mind that at all. It looks like a much more expensive watch. I decided just to buy another one; next go round I'll instead replace the band when it wears out.

Highly recommend for a nice, clean, basic business watch.

Nice.

I picked up this one last month http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005UONA6W/ref=pd_aw_sbs_241_3?refRID=0TJE07FHF3EH90Y30NZ1

Also for a daily beater I have been wearing a Luminix for the last 4 years and love it. Be sure to buy from an authorized dealer though. http://www.amazon.com/Luminox-Mens-3051-Colormark-Watch/dp/B000WY8ZHO

Bose speakers - save the Bose is junk comments. They sound great and are built great. They cost more but I'm ok with that.
Damn ####### straight. I have a few Bose Cinemate systems and they are awesome, easy to set up, and sound fantastic. And they last.....forever.
Yep. Love my Bose Soundlink Mini. Badass little speaker. Built like a tank. Great sound quality. Fantastic battery life (and replaceable battery). Great industrial design as well. Love it.

CARS : HYUNDAI GENESIS

I'll add (since we're talking cars): My affinity for Jeep Wranglers is pretty well known here, but I love my 2nd "practical" car just as much. I LOVE my 2010 Hyundai Genesis 4.6. Picked one up with 46k miles for about $15k out the door a half year back or so and it's been phenomenal.

Some things I love about it:

FAST: 4.6L V8 engine with 5.5 sec 0-60 times and governed at 160mph or so. 1-finger-steer-smooth cruising at 90-110mph on the freeway.

PLUSH: Awesome leather interior. Heated/Cooled seats. Power EVERYTHING (Down to the rear sunshade). Radar Cruise that keeps you a preset distance from traffic ahead of you. Parking sensors around the perimeter to avoid hitting cars/walls/etc... blah blah blah... the car is loaded.

AUDIO: Lexicon's 17 speaker 7.1 discrete surround system is simply sick. By far the best sound system I've ever heard in any car. LOUD and Crystal clean to the point you can easily hear limitations of many recordings (even current ones). If you're a music fan... you owe it to yourself to give this system a listen.

LOOK: It's a sharp car... with design cues completely ripped from comparable Mercedes and Lexus offerings.

Even driving aggressively with the big v8, I routinely get around 20mpg.

Love this car.... it's ridiculous value for the price.
Looking for feedback on my options here.... in the interest of brevity I'll provide a quick hit-list of facts and can flesh out as needed.

BACKGROUND:

• Purchased 2010 Hyundai Genesis Jan '15

• Couple instances of brake pedal going to floor briefly.

• Last Wed, it goes to floor and nearly causes me to rear-end someone.

• Quick search indicates Recall on brake fluid. Consumers press on the actual issue (corrosion of brake control unit due to incompatible fluid), Hyundai is slow to react and fined by the government. They eventually agree to "inspect the HECU" while replacing the fluid.

• Common sense indicates once the brakes have begun failing, corrosion has occurred. Swapping fluid may halt further corrosion, but does not repair that which exists.

• Many online forums have threads tracking instances... it's common. It's intermittent at first then increasing in severity until the unit fails completely.

• Replacement cost of the unit, with labor, runs $2-3k

MY EXPERIENCE:

• Car dropped at dealer Wed. They take a couple days to perform service. I repeatedly state I want the ECU replaced. They agree to (nonbinding, I'm aware) repeatedly.

• Upon Pickup.... ECU not replaced. It passed some test (duh, it's an intermittent prob) so it can't be replaced without Hyundai signing off.

• I file NHTSA report on complaint and share report # with tech guy who shares it with hyundai. No luck.

• I let them keep car over holiday weekend to attempt to replicate the problem. No luck (again, intermittent problem).

• Hyundai corporate calls me and tells me to pound sand, nothing they will do.

I'm obviously NOT comfortable signing anything that absolves them of any liability for repair or consequences of failure. I'm guessing signing off on the recall work being performed will do just that.

What options, if any, do I have here?
OOF

The signal that my wifi router (comcast) puts out is terrible. It doesn't reach the other side of my house. Any recommendations?
I had the same problem. Got this and haven't had a problem since. It's amazing. I even have one in an out building I never got internet in, now I've got wireless there. Amazing. Huge fan.
Just realized my house is on two different circuits and this won't work for me.Anyone else use a range extender or type of router that would help?
You can take any router and turn it into a hotspot but you'll need to run an ethernet cable from router to router. If that's out, my son bought a Netgear extender like this, worked pretty well. http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-N300-Wi-Fi-Range-Extender/dp/B004YAYM06
How much was that one last night? Swear it was nearly $80, now it is $33 with 1 left in stock.
Do you have a dual band router? 5ghz is faster but does not penetrate walls very well. 2.4ghz is a tad slower but will go farther.

I bit the bullet and so far the nighthawk x4 has done great for me. I have the iPad on 5ghz since I am always near the router and the phone on 2ghz since I listen to music cutting grass.
Yes. Old router was a Netgear WNR2000 which was 2.4G only, new one is an ASUS RT-A66U which is both. If I could place the router directly in the middle of the house I could probably cover everywhere but I have a basement room gym on one end of the house and it probably wouldn't reach there. And my geek/AV room is on the same end so it's cleaner there. :nerd: So I originally had the Netgear and was okay with it. Son didn't get good wifi in his room so he bought the extender which I added in. Then I bought the ASUS to replace the Netgear, then later removed the extender and threw the old Netgear in as an extender. Better throughput with the old router wired to new than with the wall plug extender.
So I want to buy one of these but have a few questions, and there is so much information out there; I was hoping someone here would have a similar situation or at least point me in the right direction.

I currently have a dual band router that is in the center of my house, but I do have a few "slower spots" in extended areas, hence the want for this purchase. I understand the 2.4 band is weaker than the 5.0, but it travels further...so for the purposes of streaming video, does it make sense to get a dual band extender or will a single band suffice? Also, can you have multiple extenders in the house to extend the range even further? If so, assume getting the exact same one would make sense; but is there a "feature name" that I need to look for when purchasing these?

After the recommendation in this thread, got my Samsung SSD installed this weekend. Once the clone was done, the actual installation took about 5 minutes. Very noticeable difference on reboot time, general web surfing and click response actions. Awesome product.

I've had a Pro for a couple of years now. These things are :moneybag:

Dealership stepped up and fixed everything under warranty. About $5500 in work for $0 (as it should be).

Car still drives ####### awesome. Let a buddy drive it home from the bars this saturday... he's looking to buy one within the next few weeks now.

http://amazon.com/gp/product/B00H4BBWGY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

It's a USB stick that has its own wifi.

I put a crapload of movies on it, and my wife keeps it in the car. When the kids are stuck waiting in the car (for example, today when two of them had back-to-back piano lessons), she turns on the wife and they can watch any of the movies on the USB stick. It works for iOS, Android, and I believe Kindle Fire.

You can also move files/songs/photos/videos from your phone to the stick over the wifi, which will be nice for long vacations where we can move things over, then fill up the phone again.

Took me a minute to figure out why someone would need that, but that is pretty cool idea for the car.

When it comes to headphones or earbuds in the $20-50 range, I've never been disappointed with Sony, great quality/value for a throw around pair of headphones. I'm at the point that I hardly even consider other brands when replacing my desktop headphones every couple years, I just go straight for Sony.

Anybody have a go to brand of headphone/earbud in that $20-50 range? Is Skullcandy any good? They come off as gimicky to me with the colors and skulls and stuff but they've been prominent on the shelves of Best Buy for years.
Klipsch s4i

I paid around $100 for mine but now you can find them on Amazon for half that. Amazing quality.
These are currently on Amazon lightning deals. Just ordered them.

They are the yellow ones, but you can't beat the price - $34.99

True. So cool I feel like I want one, but, I can't think of one time when I'd actually use or need it.

Wait list.

This Milwaukee organizer is pretty awesome. It's tough as nails, closes/seals easily and secure, and is a really good price ($25). The bins come out, which is really nice. Carry screws/nuts/bolts/etc. or reorganize the bins to make a nice case for an impact driver or something.

Great if you are tired of those cheap, flimsy little organizers and totes.

Does anyone have a garden hose or brand they'd recommend? I bought one 2 years ago from Sears and finally just threw it out because of the kinking and inability to roll it up nicely. I also had one of those expandable As Seen on TV hoses, which burst after about a month. I'm thinking if I just get a decent one at Home Depot for $35+ it should last and not give me any problems. I'm going to need one pretty soon. 50 ft should be fine, but 75 ft would probably be better.
Sure do. Sears all rubber hose. I have 5 of these for my yard. It's all I use. Never kinks and lifetime warranty with Sears.

These are on sale for $24.99. Just ordered 3 with free shipping.

Been looking for good rubber hose, this is exactly what I need and a great price.

Do you have to plug it into a usb port in order to power it?

Does Yeti have a patent on the Ramblers? Walmart should be selling a knockoff soon, right?
Thermos has their own version for $10-12.
This thing blows in comparison. I'm gonna return it. The Yeti has a screw down lid sort of thing that holds the beer in place. Not even sure why the rubber thing is on the Thermos one. It is useless.
Are you worried about your beer falling out of the holder? Also, seems pretty lame to unscrew/rescrew the top every time you get a beer.

I'd guess not only does the beer not fall out of the Yeti, the Yeti doesn't fall off/stay on the table each time you pick the beer up by the bottle. And a tighter seal likely means it stays cooler longer. There were some "fixes" listed for the Thermos like using a thin neoprene koozie along with it but not sure if that would hold the bottle in any better, probably just helps with the slop. And though it's double the price of Thermos, as someone posted before you could ebay the "limited edition can" that comes with it and end up about even.
