Products you believe in - Let's hear 'em (1 Viewer)

I just snatch up 3-4 cheap trimmers when they go on sale.

Even if they last more than a couple months, the blades get dull and are unpleasant to use.

I do minor trims 1-2x every week and major about every six weeks (pretty much take it all off).

Replacing the trimmer 2-3x a year means I always have a sharp, non-irritating blade and I'm spending maybe $30/yr.

Guys I'm shaving my junk. Not my face.

The day I stick something worth $10 near my genitals will be the day I finally take that hooker in front of the drug store up on her offer.

Anybody have a good beard trimmer rec?

Mine can't hold a charge long enough to get through a trimming anymore
GIft from Christmas. I like it a lot. So much better than the previous piece of crap I had. Keeps a charge for a long time, which the battery gauge will show. Never any pulling. The vacuum feature is great, and there's 2 different power levels for shaving. I just use the normal level, but sometimes the extra boost is nice when it gets a little scraggly. Plenty of length settings. It's not a shaver though, just a trimmer. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't trim around my ears and eyebrows with it as it can't get that close. Great product though for the price.

Did I mention the Rubbermaid Fasttrack system?

Took my garage from a nightmare of piled crap to a glorious man area.
Nice  Wife has been nagging me to get our garage cleaned up. Rubbermaid's website isn't the greatest though (or maybe my office's browser sucks). It doesn't really give much info other than listing the different components. I get the idea of it but wouldn't mind knowing a little more about how it's installed, etc.

For trimming the 'stache and beard, why not just use scissors? That's what I do.

Crap, just realized my garage has 2 sides with the studs exposed and the attached side is all concrete. I'm either going to have to drywall or possibly use the concrete side. This might've just turned into a bigger project for me.

It attaches via drywall anchors or onto the studs. Essentially I slap a level on it and mark my holes. Drill the pilot holes and screw it on. It calls for an anchor every 8" I think. If your studs are 16" I would think it would work but just less weight capacity.

I have even cut the rail down to fit inside of a broom closet for my wife to hang cleaning crap on. Really works well.

Per this thread, I did pick up one of the Sears garden hoses and it seems to be very sturdy.

Also, when I checked out with it, the cashier said if you have any problems with it, EVER, just roll it on up and bring it in and swap it out, you don't need a receipt or anything. 2 people that were waiting in line went and picked one up after they heard him say that.

I don't know how low they drop in price, but they are currently $5 off. They were $5 off when I picked mine up a month or so ago too.

Studs exposed is actually easier IMO  no need to drywall...just attach to the studs and you're good to go

No problem fastening to concrete.

I have one of these

Used it to finish my basement, was able to fasten 2x4's right into my Main beam as well as concrete.

Glad you like it.

They are great hoses. I mentioned before craftsmen tools are a good bargain as you get the lifetime warranty as long as Sears still has the lights on.

American Standard Champion 4 toilet. This thing has been clog free since install and prior toilet was constantly clogged. Swear by this stupid thing.

so I smash my old toilet with that thing and it gets plunged?

I'm in a rental- not replacing any toilets.

Go ahead and do it. Then deduct the parts plus a reasonable labor cost for yourself from next month's rent. He won't mind.

You serious?
Yes. I need a new plunger.

Surprised nobody has a go-to model.

Went to Amazon, search "plunger", first hit was a 4.5/5, 696-review beauty.

I've seen this one in industrial uses, I would bet it can get little turds handled.

Yeah, I'm really happy with it so far. Just the right amount of toughness and flexibility. Also with the way Sears is about their Craftsmen products I'm not even going to consider another brand of anything they make unless I have a really good reason.

Any recommendations on surround sound, sound bar? Anything of that ilk?

I'm not going for super expensive here but I'd like a decent setup.

It's a USB stick that has its own wifi.

I put a crapload of movies on it, and my wife keeps it in the car. When the kids are stuck waiting in the car (for example, today when two of them had back-to-back piano lessons), she turns on the wife and they can watch any of the movies on the USB stick. It works for iOS, Android, and I believe Kindle Fire.

You can also move files/songs/photos/videos from your phone to the stick over the wifi, which will be nice for long vacations where we can move things over, then fill up the phone again.
Do you have to plug it into a usb port in order to power it?
It's got a reported 4 hour battery. I haven't tested it more than 2 hours yet, but it did that fine. It can run while plugged in, too.
Would the little ciggarette lighter USB charging ports work for this bad boy?

What kind of suntan lotion do you guys use?
Depends what Im doing.

Usually just whatever store brand of like coppertone sport.

But this stuff is great...sprays on cool feeling...works well...and does not leave you feeling all greasy.

Bullfrog for my face when golfing. It holds up to all the sweat and really don't have to reapply it ...and I sweat a lot.

That is good too...or I use the Neutragena sport for face kind...same thing...does well with sweat (between golf and running...I have put it to the test)
