any recommendations for a cable modem? Time to ditch Comcast's bull#### monthly rental fee. Need one that does phone (VOIP) also.
Know quite a few people that are using this and are very happy with it. Arris Surfboard Cable Modem
Thanks! I need to do this.
Careful that one doesn't have the built in VOIP.If you don't care PM me because I have a ARRIS SURFboard SB6121 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem that works great but I can't use any more since I moved and switched to FIOS.

I give you good deal, sailor! ;)

I've had one of these for about a month now (SB6141) and I'm not happy with it at all. At first it rebooted with T4 errors throughout the day. Got that fixed and then it started rebooting with "power resets" throughout the day. Researched and found tons of people with same problems. Different solutions, some work some don't.

I got a new power adaptor and it cut the reboots down to about 3 or 4 per day. Going to send it back and get something else.

Instead of a cable modem, what do you suggest for a DSL modem w/integrated Wi-Fi on it? I'd rather not pay CenturyLink the rental fee each month.

Yep. Wife was skeptical but it makes perfect rice and she's been using it as a slow cooker and steamer so far. Really want to try out the oatmeal but I need to finish off my Coach's Oats before buying some steel cut.
Thanks. Finger on the trigger.
$20 cheaper one from Aroma has my eye.

Don't think I have mentioned these here yet, but for running shoes, Lock Laces are amazing for comfort and ease.
Good god, I might get those for my kids sneaks
I was thinking the same thing, but I want them to be able to tie their shoes.
They are fantastic. I have them on all of my running shoes, as well as those of my wife and son (XC). Thus, they become the laces on my kickaround shoes once they get retired from running. They make your shoes feel like slippers.

My problem is with pre-teen kids, would they be bad for shoe tying habits, like Velcro back in the day.

Why I bought cstu's suggestion:

And it's a yogurt maker unlike any other. The entire yogurt making process is done within the TIM3 MACHIN3- there's not pots, pans or thermometers to futz with. It will heat milk, hold it at a boil, allow it cool, tell you when it's time to add the culture and cook your yogurt automatically.
I make yogurt every weekend. It is the best thing in the world for aging dog farts, and I eat it with fruits and nuts almost every day. I've looked at a bunch of yogurt makers but always prefer my old school ferment. This however sounds pretty slick to me and it makes big batches, which is nice.

Weber Grill (I got the EP-330)
Add me to the list of Weber Grill converts. I used to get the $150-$300 grills every 2-3 years as I wasn't convinced an expensive grill was worth it. I was wrong. Even grilling, no flare ups and built like a tank. Should last at least a decade with proper care.

Nest Thermostat
Love the auto away and remote app features.

Drive XLR8 (Crabgrass killer)
I've seen a few other posts on here about Bayer crabgrass killer. Never used Bayer but the XLR8 is awesome for post emergent crabgrass grass. Doesn't harm the lawn the the crabgrass was starting to brown in 2-3 days.

Meat Claws
I have a smoker and used to pull apart by pork with forks or bare hands. Both have drawbacks. These are cheap, easy and you'll have a pork butt pulled apart in minutes.

moops, hit the mattress thread:

https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?/topic/488335-what-is-the-best-mattress/

Based on that thread, I got this one a few years back. My wife and I love it:

http://amazon.com/Dreamaway-Sleep-Innovations-10-inch-Mattress/dp/B00II6M1R8?sa-no-redirect=1

ETA: I guess I had the predecessor to that bed - mine had 3" of soft foam and 7" of support foam. This one has 2" of soft, 3" of something else, and 5" of support foam.

ETA2: Must have been this one: http://amazon.com/gp/product/B00B9JIGOS/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687542&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00II6M1R8&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0W621VS5CX5ZKR6XVKXX

Those free pillows must be really terrible. Mattress is $440 if you take the free pillows. $600 if you don't.

I found kryptonite for the incredible stain remover. My 4 year old. He came home from preschool with marker all over his shirt. He also went to grandpas yesterday and helped paint a birdhouse with Latex paint.

Yep none of it came out....

Thomas' English Muffins sucks but I found another brand that I like much more:

http://bays.com/
Had to buy a case (12 packs of 6) since I couldn't find them in stores but they are quite good. Since we have some Thomas's I might have to do a side by side.
Phenomenal!

Wife gave a pack of 6 to the neighbors. I've filed for divorce. :P
According to their site, the small grocery just down the street has them. Will check out.

My supermarket sells Bay's in the refrigerated section so you should keep them in the fridge. I freeze bread all the time to keep them fresh so I assume these can go into the freezer too if you can only get the 12-packs from Amazon.I like to make scrambled egg sandwiches with them.
