Here's my quote.  In it I should have added - getting cut from the team - after Aldon Smith.  Thought it was understood that his DUI last summer and subsequent release was what I meant in regards to the loss of Aldon Smith, further weakening a good defense.  Honestly had no idea about the girlfriend thing.

Is she hot?
Fair enough, not gonna dispute everything else wasn't good for him, but I think how he handled situations makes him an ####### and a ####ty leader regardless. Adding Aldon Smith in your text was cataclysmically incorrect so it stood out. I love how some folks still won't concede that, comical.

She dates football players and gets them to fight over her, do you think she's hot?

Can you get us a picture?

Re: white supremacy: If the shoe fits..

I'd love to keep waving my own flag but I don't even consider my veteranhood, or anyone else's that relevant to this issue.  It's important to point out, if it hasn't been already, the national anthem is not about the military.  Sure it's a war anthem but it's about the flag.  And the flag is about the country.  I'm not any more American than you and neither is a real hero like Nate Boyer or any other vet.  That's not how it works, and we can certainly all have equally weighted opinions here.  I'm really not sure where the vet card is coming from.. Usual suspects I guess

I'm surprised they are going to pull an anthem protest on 9/11.  They are going to collectively be as divisive as possible   .

Should be interesting

So, in order to protest systemic discrimination in an accepted manner, you must:

1. Be super duper awesome at your job, like one of the best 10 in the world at what you do.

2. Be directly personally impacted by discrimination against which you are protesting.

3. Not have sex with a co-worker's girlfriend.

Typically the warmongers who have never served themselves.

I was having a dialogue strictly with our misguided friend Ditka Butkus strictly about statements he made regarding white Seattle players and black Seattle players. Thus far, he has performed an admirable dance step or three to avoid saying what he'd rather only imply. It is a common tactic by those whose views have become anachronistic in today's culture.

One doesn't have to be a racist to disagree with Kap's actions but the very nature of the protest suggests that one needs to tread lightly in insuring that one's objections don't cross a line. GB Ditka Butkus likes dancing very close to that line while pretending that it doesn't exist and that he didn't touch it anyway.

Our next discussion somewhere should be about misogyny.
I'm coming on here to say . Like my family, for the most part I like you all, but on occasion I would like to punch you in the face. Calling me a racist burns my ###. You have no idea who  I am or where I have come from. I am of the belief that we are all truly equal until one of us stands up and shouts we are not. Personal responsibility goes a long way. Don't blame others for your short comings. I would like to extend a personal apology to Limp Ditka as I was out of line . So I hope you accept my apology . I will try  to do better.

Almost?  They definitely did.  It was the first thing out of Al's mouth once the anthem ended.
Good point - I wasn't really listening to them as I was talking to the wife.  He just said that the Broncos already released a statemt that support Marshall's right to not stand - that was fast, most teams must already have them written up for this weekend.

I fully support their right to free speech, but I'm getting irritated now. Not interested in any of the hype this weekend, just give me the games and STF U about this.
Nowadays with 24-hour news coverage and social media just about every story is so overblown that I'm tired of it within a couple of days.  This one is no exception but is a part of an important discussion going on right now.

First and foremost, whatever your cause it must be one that leftist are sympathetic towards otherwise it will be deemed as hate speech.

I put a guy's head through the wall in high school for not standing for the National Anthem, and the saying below my avatar is not for nothing.

I'm cool with protest, standing up for what you believe in, etc.  But not for this song, sit for Sweet Caroline or God Bless America, but not the Francis Scott Key number.  You don't like that song, you can leave and go back to whatever ####ty country your people are from.  It ain't better than this country, thx.  :bye:

Thanks for the insight.   While you stand for the song I'll be loading up my nacho platter at the empty concession stand.  Enjoy the patriotism.
I wish I could just be a schlep who was buying nachos while the National Anthem was playing, someone who has no idea what built this country and who protects it from enemies foreign and domestic.

Kaepernick has nothing on you, at least he's doing it for a reason.  You do it because you're a big bag of #####, but you already know that about yourself.

I am sure you did and would do again and as far as I am concerned you can go to hell.

You're probably the most disliked poster on this forum.  No one gives a #### what you think.

Oh, I know who built this country and I know who protects it but I am not ignorant enough to allow jingoistic yahoos to force feed patriotism at every blessed football game I attend. Now go change your soiled red/white/blue nappies, drink a beer and relax.

No, I don't think you do.  In fact, it's very CLEAR that you don't.

Hey Tanner>bite me

Per that other forum that you inexplicably attacked me on, you noted that your various Doctor Detroit accounts were all banned at the same time while your current account was given a suspension.

What was weird to me was that I have always respected your opinion and had never once criticized your point of view, and truthfully I have always enjoyed your input and opinion, but yet you went out of your way to attack the reposted tweets and links I post.

Link? Never criticized your tweets, you have me confused with someone else.  I accept your apology in advance.

Hey DD> stop being a jagoff
Love you Tanner but this is where I hold my ground.  You don't stand for the national anthem, you're an ######.  It's a simple display of respect for your country, it's really not that hard to understand.  I fought in two wars for my country (one I didn't agree with), I have the right to feel the way I do.

Any friend of mine not standing for the anthem is not my friend.  Period.  I will not bend on this, it is pretty ### #### simple to show respect for your country three or four times a year or less.

Because off jagoffs like you, I didn't have to serve. So thanks for that.

Yeah, like I said "so dumb".  Getting worked up to the point of physical violence because you don't think someone is patriotic enough is a joke and pretty g-damned unAmerican.
