QB Cam Newton, Retired (2 Viewers)

I'm going to bring up something that hasn't been brought up yet when talking about Cam Newton. In 2 years, he'll be eligible for the Hall of Fame. That's the same year that Ben Roethlisberger will be eligible as well. We all know Big Ben is going in, but does Cam get in as well?
What's the argument in favor?

Exactly what I was thinking. What did Cam do in his career that's HOF worthy even?

Not saying he is a hall offame, but he had one of the best seasons a collge qb could have, carrying a mediocre Auburn team to a title. ,

No. He had one great year (by NFL standards, not fantasy football standards), never won a Super Bowl, and didn't have longevity. And the most memorable play of his career for many is him not jumping on a loose ball in the Super Bowl (on a play where he was sacked and fumbled).

What does that have to do with the NFL though?

Don't they include both college and pro or am I thinking of basketball?

Definitely not baseball since I don't follow it at all.

Doesn't the HoF save certain significant game balls or jerseys from historic moments. IDK, like Marino's Jersey from the season he set the passing yardage record?

Did Cam have a moment they may have enshrined the game ball from?

Basketball considers college and international achievements

NFL Hall of Fame...? Uh, that is a big NO.

NFL Hall of Ridiculous...? That is a big YES!!

Please, do not get me wrong. I do not dislike the man. He just seems a bit odd. More than a bit if I am being truthful.

His 2015 fantasy season was amazing

Basketball accounts for everything: college, pro, international. For Canton it's officially the Pro Football Hall of Fame so it only covers the pro level.

Yep. People around here hate when you mention it, but that is his defining play in the NFL.

As good as a college player as I've ever seen though. And I've seen some great ones deliver beatdowns on the Gamecocks.
