Im starting to think they are just doing all of this for Hard Knox.

You think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Jerry Jones would manufacture drama?

ETA- I’m not suggesting Prescott’s arm isn’t hurt, I’m just suggesting that it’s possible they want to show how smart they are bringing in major league pitcher specialists and the like.
Seems half real and half contrived.
I forgot about that. What a bizarre series of events. He’s to believe AB has been quiet this long.In a world where coming to training camp in a hot air balloon and freezing your foot off wasn't manufactured drama for Hard Knocks I'm willing to believe anything.

Jerry Jones reiterates to @1053thefan that Dak Prescott can + would play in regular-season game today.
It's "just not worth the gain out here in practice to not get him the rest," Jerry says of Dak's pitch count. "Very common for pulls, muscle pulls, soft tissue-type injuries."

Dak Prescott took 18 snaps in 11-11 period completing 11 of 12 passes. Prescott threw a few 20 yard passes and a 30 yard completion. Prescott also rolled in the pocket and made throws on the run.
All the local reporters and staff are saying he’s fine and literally loling at the national guys (who haven’t stepped foot inside the state) who are saying otherwise. He's on my local news every night and the way the summer had gone there's always a few seconds video of him throwing. It's so weird but anyone in TX OK has seen this progression.
He was definitely hurt a couple weeks back when they claimed not.
He looked fine the last couple times. One highlight is a pretty deep pass that drops right into the WRs hands. I think- He couldn't throw deep with touch if he was hurt.
Maybe he is, what do I know, just...grain of salt

Imho if he were seriously hurt the Cowboys would have already brought in a QB and the players would be ####ting bricks.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Dak Prescott will be a "full go" for Dallas' Week 1 opener against the Bucs.
"Dak is fine," Rapoport continued,"...he is back where the Cowboys need him ready for the opener." That leaves a lot of room for detail, but Prescott will nonetheless be available for the team's season opener on Thursday. It's a nightmarish matchup for Dallas' offense as a whole but all should still be started given the explosiveness and efficiency all flashed last year in the only five games Prescott was available for.

Dak Prescott (shoulder) is active for Week 1 against the Bucs.
Prescott wasn't even on the Cowboys' final injury report. His status was never in doubt, of course. Prescott has been on his regular throwing routine since Aug. 26, so he got in two weeks of normal practices. It was far from an ideal summer for Prescott coming off a catastrophic leg injury, but few quarterbacks have as many weapons. Prescott is going to need them against the Bucs' elite defense. Inactive for the Cowboys are QB Will Grier, S Malik Hooker, S Israel Mukuamu, DE Azur Kamara, LB Luke Gifford, DE Chauncey Golston and WR Noah Brown.

Dak Prescott completed 42-of-58 passes for 403 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the Cowboys' 31-29, Week 1 loss to the Bucs.
Making his first start following last year's catastrophic leg break and this summer's shoulder woes, Prescott tied his career high for attempts in a seesaw affair where the Cowboys never attempted to establish the run vs. the Bucs' dominant front. Prescott's arm strength was noticeably limited compared to his career norm, but it didn't matter as he displayed elite ball placement and near perfect accuracy as he found Amari Cooper for 13 receptions and CeeDee Lamb for seven. He looked like Peyton Manning in his post-arm strength prime, simply putting the ball wherever he wanted against an elite defense, albeit one that lost its slot corner early in the game. Presumably, Prescott's arm will also get stronger as the year wears on. 10 days rest ahead of Week 2 could not be better timed as Prescott prepares to face the Chargers. With the Cowboys' defense looking almost as bad as last year's version this evening, the attempts will continue to roll right in for Prescott.
First game back from horrific injury and just shredded the Super Bowl winning Bucs D, no big deal.
With as terrible as that Dallas D still is and those weapons, if he stays healthy this guy will be QB1 this season.
By what metric? You seriously trying to compare Dallas and Tampa’s D? Tampa lost their slot corner mid game. Dallas Defense is still trash. TB could get anything he wanted all game. For this reason alone, your boys shouldn’t have settled for that FG late. You give Brady the ball back with that amount of time against that D and only need 3, that’s inevitable.Im confused, the Dallas defense outperformed the vaunted TB defense.

what’s your point? Are you arguing that Dallas is on equal footing with Tampa defensively? Does Tampa not have a good defense?Yards and Turnovers to name two categories off the top of my head. It would have been less points too if Gregg could kick a 26 yarder.
Dallas also had their way with Tampa's defense. The supposed better defense.
I agree the Cowboys should have gone for it but that has nothing to do with what we're talking about.
Tampa might be the best defense he faces all season.Dak was good, but he took a beating tonight. Hopefully moving forward he takes less hits
Tampa might be the best defense he faces all season.
Dak has now gone over 400 yards passing in the last 4 games he played start to finish. I'm saying that is sustainable, but I do think it makes him the favorite to lead the NFL in passing yards.
what’s your point? Are you arguing that Dallas is on equal footing with Tampa defensively? Does Tampa not have a good defense?
What Dak and that offense did to that Tampa defense was impressive. That’s the point. He lit up a good defense. Tampa performed like they should have against that Dallas defense. Nobody is surprised Tampa had their way with them. Dak’s performance in his first game coming off that injury against this defense was impressive. It’s not that hard to understand. You seem to be taking issue with the fact that Dallas has a bad D. And you want to argue about it in the Dak thread for some reason.
Dak was great last night and he shoulda won. Lamb killed two drives by himself and the kicker was a mess.
The Cowboys D is bad. That’s a fact. For you to argue otherwise is to be the ultimate homer.-Tampa lights up the Dallas defense
-Dallas lights up the Tamp defense
Your response = The Cowboys defense is awful.
As you said, “it’s not that hard to follow”.
Dak was great last night and he shoulda won. Lamb killed two drives by himself and the kicker was a mess.
I'm not sure his point is that Dallas' D is good but more Tampa's D was overrated last night. The Cowboys D is bad. That’s a fact. For you to argue otherwise is to be the ultimate homer.
Like I said, the fact that Dak lit the Tampa D was impressive. The fact that Dallas D got shelled by Tampa is expected. Like I said, shouldn’t be hard to follow.
One game does not make a D. Tampa has a good defense by any metric. Dallas does not. So is he, or you, arguing that what Dak did last night wasn’t impressive? That’s the whole point. Why he is taking issue with someone commenting on the merits (or lack thereof) of the Cowboys D in a thread about Dak is a whole other matter. He’s probably just salty his Boys took the L.I'm not sure his point is that Dallas' D is good but more Tampa's D was overrated last night.

Any chance you could try and be a little less condescending ? We’re trying to have a conversation here but if you wanna keep throwing jabs at me we can do that. It’s going to end up with both of us getting suspended. The Cowboys D is bad. That’s a fact. For you to argue otherwise is to be the ultimate homer.

Dude, you’re the one who inItially responded to my comment about Dak (in the Dak thread) with some attempt to defend the honor of the Dallas defense for some reason. It was never the point. If you want to state your case defending the Dallas D, knock yourself out. I’m not going to clutter up the Dak thread anymore with this nonsense. I’m done here.Any chance you could try and be a little less condescending ? We’re trying to have a conversation here but if you wanna keep throwing jabs at me we can do that. I'm just explaining how I read his take. I also specifically said "last night" meaning, yeah, it was one game and really not much to draw any conclusions about. Dak certainly had his way last night. It is a one game sample size. One game does not make a D. Tampa has a good defense by any metric. Dallas does not. So is he, or you, arguing that what Dak did last night wasn’t impressive? Dak Prescott completed 21-of-26 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns in the Cowboys' 41-21, Week 3 win over the Eagles Monday night.
The Cowboys pulled their starters off the field with a little over three minutes to play and a 20-point lead. Prescott was nearly flawless in this one, with his only blemishes being a lost fumble in the end zone recovered for a touchdown by Fletcher Cox in the first quarter and then a goal-line run that was stuffed for a turnover on downs at the one-yard line. It actually looked like he was in for the score, but the refs declined to overturn it. Prescott's touchdowns were 19- and 22-yard hookups with Dalton Schultz sandwiched around a two-yarder to Cedrick Wilson, so neither of Amari Cooper (3-26) nor CeeDee Lamb (3-66) was heavily involved in the action. Prescott has now completed a pristine 77.5% of his passes through three games. He'll be a QB1 next week at home against the 3-0 Panthers.

For non drafters, I think he's a buy low. He's playing outstanding football, and has had some bad TD luck. He could have had 5 TDs(including 1 on the ground) tonight. I also think he'll be throwing more when Gallup comes back. They've been running more and using more 2-RB, and 2-TE sets in Gallup's absence.Well as a Dak drafter, this much improved Dallas D is certainly an unwelcome development I didn’t see coming. Between this and the improved effectiveness running the ball, I guess it’s time to recalibrate expectations going forward.
I hope this is the case. The low yardage the last two games have been troubling. Hopefully they can find themselves in some shootout situations in the near future. These NFC East games won"t fit that profile this year. For non drafters, I think he's a buy low. He's playing outstanding football, and has had some bad TD luck. ETA: I like Amari Cooper as a buy low as well.
Feels like Matthew Stafford. They just don't need to win with his arm alone recently and I'm not sure Dallas is interested in running up the score. That throw to Schultz at the end was a big joke of a TD lolFor non drafters, I think he's a buy low. He's playing outstanding football, and has had some bad TD luck. I think the Rams have that too, they just decided not to use it against Tampa Bay. They certainly did against Chicago, and to a lesser extent Indy.Feels like Matthew Stafford. Difference here is that have Zeke and Pollard to wear out defenses and end games sooner vs. Buffalo and LAR
Definitely some risk here, but he has the weapons. Buffalos the same way but they are interested in pouring on the points until someone stops them- their defense is good enough now to prevent shootouts.
possibly - but it'll all be through the air. You can tell he doesn't want to run the ball. Don't blame him. That would be in my head.I think the Rams have that too, they just decided not to use it against Tampa Bay. They certainly did against Chicago, and to a lesser extent Indy.
Fantasy wise, I'm still Allen>Dak>>Stafford.
I also think as the season goes on, its possible/probable that Dak adds some rushing production, not as much as Allen obviously, but certainly more than Stafford, or a guy like Brady or Rodgers.
I'm still viewing Dak as a top-5 QB going forward. He's likely only going to get better the further removed he is from his injury.
